Bothy Threads Cross Stitch Kit - Love Blossoms

I just finished this kit and it turned out absolutely beautiful! High quality materials, clear and easy to follow instructions. The extras in the kit - the lace flowers and gold beads and sequins added so much to the overall effect. Highly recommend!

The kit comes with fabric, thread, and instructions. It is somewhat complicated and I would not recommend it for beginners. The materials are beautiful. I have not yet completed the project, so I don’t know if enough thread is included. So far so good.

I liked the design. The only problem I had was with the beading. The needle has a very small eye which made it impossible for me to put the beads on as my vision is poor. The second and flowers were easy to affix and place. Probably not for an absolute beginner, but can be completed by a person with moderate experience in cross stitching. I made it during a 3 week period. Gave it as a wedding present. Unable to add picture as it has been gifted to the bride and groom.

The instructions are not clear States to sew on sequins from a small picture on the kit - no reference areas on pattern Contacted seller - not much help. She did respond x 2. Recommended sewing with invisible thread but that wasn’t included in kit. I’m not a beginner to crossstitch but this pattern was NOT good. Do you see sequins on the photo?

Never did an embroidery like this before. Good instructions. Turned out beautifully.

This project is not for the faint of heart! The results are awesome but it is for an advanced stitcher. The shipping time was wonderful considering that it came from the U. K. I dinged it one star because the metallic silver thread that makes up the tree trunk and branches is sooooo difficult to work with. I would replace that thread if I were to stitch it again. But, all of that said, it is an extraordinary design and I am thrilled with the final project.

It's so pretty! The threads come pre-sorted! (Not always the case!) The silver thread is hard to work with, but you only use one strand instead of two! The instructions tell you to only use one about 4 different times. One "strand" of the silver thread is made up of two smaller strands that are just twisted around each other, which easily come un-raveled. I found an easy way to help was just cut the silver thread in half and work with shorter pieces. You have to start and finish more often, but it doesn't tangle as easily!

This is quite an intricate design with lots of small patterns but there were only full stitches which made it easier. I found the outlining took nearly as long as the full stitches but was really worth it. I didn’t use the flower cut outs as I thought the finished picture didn’t need them. The beads were intricate but bought another dimension to the picture. Like some other reviewers I didn’t like using the metallic thread however it looked nice and I had a grey frame which complimented it beautifully. Would recommend this kit but don’t expect to do it quickly - I ended up with some very late nights to get it finished for a wedding - but it was well worth it.

Leider stimmen die Farben des Garns nicht so gut mit dem Bild überein. Ansonsten istces ein schönes Bild und das Material ist hervorragend vorbereitet. Der Versand war schneller als gedacht 👍
