This is a bargain price for a sauna, works well.
I’ve long wanted a sauna but a “for real” sauna costs from a few to several thousand dollars and you need to find a place in your home to put it. This product is an unbelievable $119.95! There are no other parts you need, just add water. It is easy to assemble and easy to use. It’s not fancy but it serves the purpose. It is a well-designed product that most anyone can afford. You must put the frame together yourself. The frame is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) tubes. If you have ever bought “furniture in a box”, then you know how challenging it can be to assemble those products. This product’s PVC tubes are clearly marked, there is a simple diagram to show you how to put it together and it is so easy to assemble, a child could do it. (If you don’t have children, borrow one!) One thing to note, there is a bar that is chest high in the front. Be sure the slots in the frame point up, not down, so that you can lift that bar up and let it swing down out of your way so that you can get in the sauna then place the bar back into the slot. Everything else is clearly marked. There is a covering that is one piece that includes the bottom, sides and top all in one piece. It easily slides over the frame and it fits well. There are front and back zippers so you can ventilate the sauna after you are done. If you plan to store the sauna, be sure to dry it so that it won’t develop mold. There are zippers and pockets in the front where you can slip your arms outside the sauna and read a book or play with your phone or iPad or whatever device you use and you can use the pockets to store your book/device. The steam generator looks like something you would use to distill water. There is a button on the handle, just push that to open the container. Fill with 1.8 liters of water – not quite 2 quarts. I have a Berkey filter that I use to filter water. I don’t like using tap water. You can add essential oils if you like (I like lavender). The steam generator has a tube that connects it to the back of the sauna. That tube heats up as the steam passes through it so be careful not to touch it while the generator is on and don’t put your feet near the two nozzles where the steam comes into the sauna. There is a 60-minute timer on the steam generator. You can set the timer to any time up to 60 minutes but be aware that it takes about 15 minutes for the steam to become noticeable in the sauna. In other words, when you set the timer and plug in the steam generator – nothing happens. Remember that you are taking water from room temperature to steam and that takes time. So, turn on the generator and take the next 15 minutes to do something else. One issue is that the generator is behind the sauna so you can’t see the timer. I’d suggest you get one of your kitchen timers or set a timer on your watch that matches the timer on the generator. This isn’t necessary but I like to keep track of the time. I am very satisfied with this product but I do have one complaint. The sauna comes with a foldable chair but the height is not adjustable and the weight limit is 220 pounds. I’m 6’2” and 260 pounds so I can’t use the chair. I have a basic shower chair that I bought some time back at a pharmacy for $40-$50. It is adjustable and sturdy so I use that. I would prefer that the chair be an optional accessory. If you are average height and weight, the chair will work for you. My wife could use the chair, but she is 5’2” so she needed to use a blanket like a booster seat for her to be able to comfortably get her head and neck above the sauna. There are two models of this product. I bought the “oversized” model but turns out that the 33” width was more than enough. The regular-sized model with about 28.5” width would have worked. You may want to buy the smaller size unless you in fact do need extra room. The temperature inside the sauna builds up to 110-115 degrees. It doesn’t feel overwhelming but after 20-30 minutes, I think you will be ready to get out. My wife doesn’t sweat much but her skin was wet when she was done. I don’t know how much of the moisture is condensation of steam and how much is sweat, but either way, you will need to shower after being in the steam. If you have privacy, I’d enter the sauna unclothed but with a towel for the floor of the sauna and a towel to sit on – unless you like sitting in wet clothes. Your body generates a fever to make you sweat and eliminate toxins through your pores. It is refreshing and healthy to “work up a sweat” in the sauna. This is a great way to improve your health and for only $120!

Great alternative to having a sauna at home
I'll start off with saying that I like this thing so much! I've had it for 2 months now and used it more than 20 times. A lot of other reviews discuss the positives and I feel that I would mostly be repeating all the other positives here, so I will focus on the other aspects I've experienced for others who want to hear more everyday information about the product. 1. The steam come into the tent wayyyyyy too hot. I've scalded myself a few times on accident by just moving in front of the where the steam comes in. One time was rather serious and I had to go to the doctor for it. After that happened, I only use the sauna if I can cover the port that the steam come in by piling towels in front of it. 2. The pvc and tent set up feels a bit cheap and is rather laborious to assemble and disassemble for what it is. Ideally I like to hang dry it after each use so this is rather annoying. 3. The steam takes about 13 minutes to start after you turn it on and it takes another couple of minutes to warm up inside. The timer only goes for an hour so if you're planning to keep it running for 40 minutes after that you need to get out of it to keep the timer running again. Overall you get what you pay for, but it is so nice to have the option to sauna in my home! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sept 2023 edit: still using it on a weekly basis, no real complaints! If I had to make up one problem the best I could say is that I wish I could put the fabric in the washing machine, since a year and a half of sweat has slowly accumulated in places I cannot wash by hand. I already ordered 2 in 2022 and I would definitely order again for myself or for gifts. Still never used the chair to sit with my neck sticking out, always sitting inside. Switching from 4 stars to 5 since it is really standing the test of time so well. Also huge respect to Durasage for keeping the price the same as when I bought it a year an a half ago --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sept 2025 edit: I have chilled out and stopped using this 5 times a week in the last couple years, but still probably average 2-3 times a week over the course of a year! Currently we are at a difficult spot... despite my best mediocre attempts at trying to clean the sauna most of the time after using it, my girlfriend is concerned that after 5 years of very excessive use, it may have a bit of a scent. While I try to be frugal I am a reasonable man and have conceded to throwing it away. So, now I am buying another brand new one!

Nice steam sauna. Chair it comes with is garbage
Giving this 4 stars because the steam sauna itself is nice, chair it comes with is garbage (way too flimsy with no support - it hurt the middle of my back tremendously after 30 mins so I ended up buying a Medokare "shower chair" from Amazon - see pic and this works way better (I'm 6'0 215 lbs muscular build). As indicated it takes about 15 mins to start producing steam from the time you plug it in & turn the knob so just enter the sauna at that time. At first it's nice and relaxing but after 30 mins you'll start to sweat, after 40mins it takes heavier breathing & becomes uncomfortable (even tho your head is outside) so it really is like your body is going thru a workout. Haven't made it to 60 mins yet but I'd imagine it's a butt-kicker. Also I use outside on my patio since its nice to breathe fresh air and there is a bit of water afterwards (you'll be soaked after & little red just like out of hot shower) so if you use it indoors make sure to have lots of towels around, on floor etc. It is best to cover the inside tent floor with towels during use (so water doesnt pool up in bottom). Towel it off, keep open and air dry outside after use. Overall I'd say buy the product but toss out the chair immediately and buy a firm "shower chair", make sure its adjustable on height because you'll want it to sit pretty low to the ground like 16 inches) to get your head out comfortably depending on your height. Too high of chair and you'll be "pulling up" the tent with your shoulders. Good luck!

Must buy!!!!!!
I just got this yesterday and it was so easy to assemble. It gets very hot and it will definitely relax your muscles. The only thing I had an issue with was the chair. Im 5'7 and I was too short for my head to peak through the hole comfortably. So I had to fold a towel to give me and extra boost. Also if your thinking about buying it, try to get some disinfectant spray/cloths as well. Inside gets very wet, so you will have to clean it after every use, or you will end up with mold🤢. Perfect personal sauna, definitely worth every penny😄

Very happy camper!
I am piggy backing off other reviews. I love this Durasage Oversized Portable Steam Sauna Spa a lot! I've had the sauna for a little over a month and I try to use it daily because the steam feels so good to the body. I haven't had any issues so far, as I read all the reviews before I made the purchase. I got some large oversized shammies for the floor inside the sauna and sometimes I add two of the long black trays often used at the front door for shoes and boots to catch the steam and/or body fluid, which I remove after each use. Consequently, the quilted floor of the sauna never gets wet. Instead, I just remove the trays and dump the water in the sink when finished. Moreover, I always make insure the steam port is positioned horizontally, in a "Y" position, to avoid any accidents. I gather up all my accessories, such as, my bath and hand towel and shower shoes, while the steam is heating up. Since the timer only goes for an hour I understand if I keep the sauna running I will only get 40 minutes. However, depending on how I am feeling about how much time I want I either leave it running or I turn it back to the beginning to get the full hour. My only complaint is that the seat is on the small side and not that comfortable for the sitting an hour. Again, I am grateful that it works for the purpose intended. So far, I am extremely satisfied. Especially, considering the purchase price. One spa treatment would have cost as much. But I will keep you posted on how long the product last. Overall, I couldn't be happier. It's well worth the price and the seller's packaging and delivery time was great.

Modest budget? New user? Sure it works.
If you're on a budget or new to this experience this may be a good buy. Set up wasn't bad, however the instructions weren't exactly clear. Luckily there was a video of someone putting it together, which helped. I absolutely hate how cheap the pipes are. They're very easy to break if you add pressure. I'm also not a fan of how easily the hose from the water tank to the sauna disconnects. I'm 5'3" so the size is decent for me. Using the water heater is straight to the point. Add water, turn the dial to the ideal time, and it begins to heat. It takes about 5-10 minutes or so to get warm but produces a good amount of steam once it's up and running. After reading reviews about the size and durability of the seat it comes with I decided to buy a more durable shower chair to use with it, so I've never used the chair it came with. Would I buy it again? No. Would I recommend it to a friend? Not unless they're new to saunas or prefer a more "budget friendly" option.

Nice features.
I really like this product. The instructions are not clear. One piece the letter F was not on the instruction sheet. The picture was very helpful and with light tapping with a rubber hammer got it together. I am 5 ft 8 and the chair is very comfortable. Put a towel on it and around the bottom to soak up water. I like the features. It get very hot so the extra zippers are helpful venting some of the heat. I feel really good after using this unit. The steamer is easy to set up and use although there is no mention of the grate inside the steamer in the instructions. Checked on line. No one seems to know what it is for. I left it in the unit. Overall I am very happy with this unit. Would recommed it to others.

Use it almost daily, and really enjoy it
The only reason I didn’t give a five stars is the bottom is not waterproof. So when you inevitably sweat or the steam pools, it leaks out the bottom beyond that we’re extremely pleased with the temperature and how it works.

Works as advertised
I like this product. Takes a little while to heat up but once it is going, it works great. I fill it with hot water to start and takes less time to get going. Registered about 40 degrees celsius at one point. I put a towel over the hole at the top where your head is supposed to stick out and I duck down into it. I am only 5'4 so works OK for me. I work up a great sweat after 15 - 20 min use. Easy to clean as well.

Very good sauna!
That's a very good home sauna if you don't have the money to buy you a real one. I was very surprised by the temperature. It takes about 15 mins to the steam to come in, but after that, it gets very hot and you get the sweat very fast. The shipping was a bit long but, when you know its UPS everything's normal lol I recommend :-)
