I've had a multitude of coffee makers, from French press to Nespresso original and vertuo. Ended up getting rid of our vertuo machine to go back to this. It's very easy to use, produces fantastic coffee and seems really well made. I usually fill the machine before bed and wake up to enough coffee to fill a vacuum flask and a couple cups before work. The temperature is perfect for coffee, easy to clean and relatively quick for a full pot. This was on offer and fantastic value for money

After 18 months can confirm this has been an excellent purchase. Easy to use and delivers good results, in reasonable time. After a few decades and several different filter machines and a long period using cafetières, this is the best we have had. The quality of the coffee you put in comes through. This model (with or without timer) was one of only two recommended by a consumer magazine, and the other cost many hundreds of pounds, so good value. It does the job without fuss - easy to fill and run, keep-warm function handily cuts off so no baked-on coffee to deal with. Other machines frequently spat on the hot plate but this one does not drip, provided you wait until it has stopped processing. We use compostable paper filters so easy to clean up after. We have hardly used the timer function so would not bother if buying again. A good choice,

After my 15 year old machine finally gave up the ghost, I researched filter coffee machines till I was blue in the face: there are so very many to choose from and pros and cons for them all. I eventually decided on a Melitta, as I wanted to try the original German version of a filter coffee machine and to try paper filters instead of mesh. I'm pleased with my purchase. The machine is easy to set up and use. It makes coffee quickly and keeps it very hot, which was important for me. The machine is pre-set to keep coffee hot for 40 minutes, but you can easily change the setting to 20 or 60 minutes, and if it goes off before you're ready you can switch it on again immediately. The machine looks really good and the pot is a lovely shape and pours without dripping. The pot, lid and swivel filter case can go in the dishwasher, another plus point for me. The only reason I have not given it five stars is because I like strong coffee and to start off, I thought the coffee was a bit weak. Now, I put an extra spoonful in the filter and am happy with the result. I do think the paper filters give a better, more mellow flavour than the mesh filter on my old machine. Overall, I am pleased with the Melitta machine, I think it's good value for money, and I would recommend it.

I'm really pleased with this filter coffee machine. I researched a lot, was tempted by SMEG but to refill the water is difficult with those, where as with the Melitta it's quick and easy. Great tasting coffee, 6 mugs on full, I use the timer every night, hotplate stays hot for 45 mins, machine is really quiet. It's pretty compact on the work surface, would recommend

Loving this machine... Over the years I've been through various bean to cup machines, pod machines etc and after using an aeropress, I've finally realised that my favourite coffee is filter coffee. I bought this machine because it has a timer function, so I can have coffee ready for my wife and I when we wake up. This version is cheaper than the therm model and the glass jug means you can see the coffee and it's easy to clean. I have the hot function to stay on for 60 minutes and honestly the coffee tastes fine after that period. Initially I was on the fence as the coffee was weak, but turns out my grinds were too coarse. The lavaza rossa red ground coffee works a treat.

Everything it states so we are happy with it. We have just replaced our Melitta Aroma Fresh (that served us well for many years) with this Look and one of their separate grinders. It was a £ saving over another Aroma Fresh. We use our machines once a day at minimum so they are very used! The water moves through at an idyllic pace to ensure the brew is as you choose. A water tank that can be removed for filling is an asset if you prefer not filling with a jug. Recommend this ✔️

I really am not one for writing reviews, usually I feel plenty has been said and nobody really needs my 2 cents as well. But in this case I must write - this machine is a total disappointment. First of all, Melitta clearly has no idea what an aroma selector is. Having had two DeLonghi coffee machines before this, I am a bit used to having my coffee made more concentrated and tastier by an aroma button/selector. THIS is nothing of the sort. The coffee runs down the shoot the at the exact same speed whether you select weaker,normal or stronger. The stronger the aroma selected, the speed should slow down so that the coffee has more time to infuse before filtering down with more flavour. I am using at least 25 - 30% more ground coffee to achieve the same result of my DeLonghi machine. The other thing is that within two months, the stop drip function totally failed so that when the coffee pot is removed, there is a steady drip of coffee out of the filter on to the hot plate. Rarely have I been so disappointed with a purchase. If you like coffee and value a good coffee machine, don't buy this one. I will put this one down to having learned my lesson and dump it. And buy a machine that's worth having.

This is a lovely filter coffee machine. It is straightforward to use and makes great coffee. It is highly rated by Which magazine which influenced my decision to buy. I have given it only 4 stars because of the size. I would have preferred a 12 cup size rather than the 10 cup size. Having said that, the filter machine is mostly used for just me. Also, I would have preferred a hinged flip top lid for the water tank. These are minor criticisms. I am quite happy using paper filters. I did so with my previous machine as the supplied filter eventually split. This is a great filter coffee machine. I am one satisfied customer.

Ho comprato questa macchina del caffè perché conosco bene la marca e devo dire che non mi ha delusa, anzi non trovo difetti! Per me era molto importante il "autospegnimento" e questa macchina ha la possibilità di impostarlo dopo 20, 40 oppure 60 minuti. Ovviamente anche utilissimo il TIMER - e tutto molto facile da usare. La macchina ha anche la spia anti-calcare - attenzione a impostare bene la durezza dell'acqua. La macchina è davvero facile da usare - trovo particolarmente utile il serbatoio rimovibile - e il aromaselector premette di dare un tocco personale a gusto. Fa veramente buonissimo il caffè - e caldissimo. Consiglio questa macchina a tutti coloro a cui piace il caffè "lungo"!
