The machine fails to accurately detect counterfeit $20 bills, which has proven to be both frustrating and useless for my needs. When inserting $20 bills, the machine frequently fails them and occasionally passes them intermittently. This inconsistency is highly problematic, as it undermines the primary purpose of the device: to provide accurate and reliable counterfeit detection. I have tested multiple $20 bills, and the results have been consistently unreliable. Attached is a video demonstrating the issues I encountered with the Kolibri KCD-1000. As you can see, the machine's performance is erratic, making it an unreliable tool for anyone needing consistent counterfeit detection. I cannot recommend the Kolibri KCD-1000 based on my experience. It is crucial for a counterfeit currency detecting machine to function correctly, and this product falls short of that basic requirement. If you are looking for a reliable solution for detecting counterfeit bills, I would suggest exploring other options.

This Kolibri bill detector does exactly what it’s supposed to; fast, accurate, and super easy to use right out of the box. It gives a clear “PASS” or “FAIL” message, so there’s no guessing, and it reads bills in any direction, which saves time when you’re busy at the register. The build feels sturdy and professional, and it’s compact enough to fit neatly on a counter without taking up space. It’s been consistent in catching fakes and checking older bills without issues. Definitely gives peace of mind when handling cash throughout the day. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that the screen could be a bit brighter in low-light areas, and the power cord is shorter than I’d like. But overall, this is a dependable, well-made detector that works great for everyday business use. Highly recommended for anyone needing quick, accurate bill verification.

Easy to use, our team likes the pass or fail digital display. You do have to straighten out the bill really well sometimes for it to not fail it though. Other times it can be super wrinkly and it will still pass it.

Doesn’t identify the Canadian dollar bills. Which I bought for. That’s what I searched for and this showed up

I bought it to verify fake us Monday bills and it seems the machine does not do the work at all . I used a fake money bill to test the machine and it gave me pass !! I did I it ten times and I got the same answer . I will contact Amazon to get a refund and return the machine .
