"Seniors" will love this timer...
I had never even considered a timer for my bathroom fans, but my sister recently moved into a new rental house that had one of these installed. I played around with it and instantly liked it. Never one to purchase anything without a lot of research, I returned home and looked at a number of other timers that were available both on Amazon and at my local home stores. I had never heard of this brand and none of the local home stores carried it. Instead, they carried brands like Intermatic, etc. Nothing wrong with those (I have some of their light timers installed in my house), but the lights and the timer labels were so tiny that it was hard for me to see. In their favor, they also looked a lot more "high-tech" and, admittedly, were a bit more "fashionable" than this unit. What I liked about this unit: 1. It had the timer settings I was looking for. There are only six settings, but they are the ones I would commonly use. Some of the other units had settings for up to two hours, which is a lot longer than I would ever use/need for a bathroom. 2. The time indicator labels are fairly LARGE, so it is easy to see what you are selecting. 3. In addition to the six different timer settings, you can select a manual off/on with the larger button on the bottom. 4. Indicators light up when the timer is on/off. Some reviewers have mentioned that the green lights are distracting. I think the lights serve a useful purpose as a night light and also draw attention to the unit when you are in the bathroom - both useful features. 5. Easy installation. One caveat: you need a neutral wire in addition to a positive and a negative in order for the unit to work. Also, the timer is a bit bulky, so you may have to move some wires around to position it correctly. I had fairly large electrical boxes so I didn't have any problems positioning the timer so that the face was flush with the wall plate. I ordered three of these timers a few months ago and they have worked flawlessly. Would highly recommend.

Perfect bathroom fan timer for me
This little timer does a great job. I love that it has a mechanical relay and doesn't slow the fan down as some other electronic timers are reported to do. The time scale is good for a bathroom fan (I typically use 20 or 30 min). It was easy to install. The only thing I don't care for is how bright the LED's are. In my downstairs bathroom, the switch points away from the entry door and serves as a night light which is ok. In my master bathroom the switch points out of the door into the bed area and it is visible from the bed. The two bright green LED's can be annoying at night. I will try to cover them with something to tone them down at a later point. Still, love the timer switch.

An end to lights or fans running endlessly.
When we moved into our new-built home 16 years ago, I replaced 2 wall switches with these Legrand digital timers. One in the master bathroom to control a ceiling light / exhaust fan combination, and the other in the hall bathroom to control a ceiling exhaust fan. Both are still working just fine. Plenty of time options and easy as pie to operate even for the uninitiated. The LEDs guide you in the dark by illuminating the ON/OFF state as well as the selected duration.

Great Timer
Installed this to control the master bath exhaust fan and I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about it. It's quiet, reliable, and I feel it will still appear contemporary for years to come. It came with easy to comprehend installation instructions and it was fairly easy to install. The gang box I installed this in was spacious enough to accommodate the switch once the existing wires were pushed to the side. Other reviewers are right with comments about this being on the large size as far as switches go. Due to the depth of switch control mechanism I can see where smaller gang boxes could pose an installation problem. Overall I am more than pleased with this timer switch both in appearance and operation. I definitely recommend it.

Works for our purposes
My children obviously hate the Earth. They will habitually turn on electronic items and walk away. Recently, I realized that my mother-in-law has the same trait. During her short visit, I found the bath fan running for hours, with no one in the bathroom, several times. So, in an attempt to lower my blood pressure, cut my electrical bill, and save the Earth, I purchased one of these in-wall, digital timers and installed it in place of my bathroom fan switch. Now, anytime someone wants to use the bath fan, they just have to select the amount of time they want it to run and push the corresponding, plainly-labeled button. It'll turn off automatically at the end of that time period. It can also be manually turned off before the end of the time period as well. I recommend it.

Versital, With Easily Selected Preset Run Times
A great timer where you want to limit the run time of lighting fixtures, fans or other equipment. Easy to install where you have a neutral wire in the junction box. A choice of six run times with visual LED indicators and a pilot lit actuation touch pad. The only minor draw back is if there is a power interuption the timer defaults to the one minute setting, so just re-sellect the appropriate time setting by pushing the corresponding actuation pad. I've been using these for years and have had trouble free operation throughout. Carefully read the product description to verify if this fullfills your control needs.

Why only 4 stars???
All timer switches have a wear and tear lifespan. Especialy in a bathroom environment. That part of the review is yet to be seen. If anyone wants to know what the future holds, ask...in the future. Otherwise, I am pleased with the quality, and relative ease of installation. So far in my experience, there never seems to be enough room to easily install anything larger than a on-off switch.
