LEGO TECHNIC Street Motorcycle

Always a fan Technic motorcycles, the 42036 LT1 delivers. This particular motorcycle comes from a long line of motorcycles produced every few years and in my opinion the best since the eclectic 8420 produced in 2005. So, let's start with the features. The LT1 features a V-4 engine, which is great for a cycle of this size, and I really enjoy the mini chain links that Lego introduced in 2015 in both the Street Cycle as well as for the drive in the 42035 Mining Truck's engine, and they work well at joining the engine output to the rear wheel of the cycle. They are a little bit hard on the fingers when joining them, but with any tracked vehicle or the smaller links in this cycle, they can be a pain to join a lot of them at once. But, they fit around the 16-tooth gears perfectly with no slipping on the gear teeth. The large shock absorbers on the front are a welcome addition. I also love the interesting angles that the beams take to from the frame and the body panel fairings that attach finish off the great looks of the LT1. At first I wasn't crazy about the colour scheme of red and medium blue, but the colours really grew on me and I love the sleek look of the finish fairing panels and flex axles along with the flex hoses used under the seat pointing out the rear are an excellent touch for a cycle at this price point. A very highly recommended set for any motorcycle enthusiast.

What a big step forward from the Legos I knew as a kid! This was a fun kit to build ( I went with the street racer), entertaining, and satisfying in the end. The parts were all there, the instructions were clear, and everything fit well. The only quibble I have is that the pieces are mixed in plastic bags, with no rhyme or reason that I could discern. That means that you have to open all the bags to complete most assemblies. It'd also be nice if the bags were resealable, but those are very minor issues. All in all this provided several hours of play when I should have been out doing yard work, so I love it. BTW, it is big.: almost a foot long, so have room on your shelf. Or take it apart and save it for later. I'll have to try some of the other kits now.

I bought this product twice cause i want to build both style. Street style is nice and easy to build just make up some time for it. Retro style is classy, a little bit challenging on this part, the body is tiny unlike the other one and not all the figures been used in this retro style. Kind of disatisfied when i finished building retro. Choose wisely.

My son and I are building this bike, albeit he is only 7 years old he is fascinated by the chain and the wheels.. This is a very cool project to build and though some of it gets a little complicated the instructions are well done. We're now working on the body panels and will probably finish this evening. I would say it's a 2-3 day project for most people.

This Lego set met every expectation I could have. I sent this item as a gift to my grandson (8) and he was so proud and happy about the assembly, he sent me four beautiful photos. The fact that he loved putting it together and proud of the finished item AND then to send me the photos is as much as any granny could wish for! Thank you Lego.

I purchased this for my brother, but since the package came broken, Amazon sent me another and let me keep the broken one. I ended up building one and I enjoyed it. I've been building Lego sets for a while but this was my first Technic build. The detail of the motor movement as you moved the wheels is well done.

I purchased this for my son's birthday and he loved it. It was bigger than expected and kept him busy for many hours. He loves that the motorcycle has piston action and full front and rear suspension. The only negative I could sense from him, was that the kickstand needed an extra piece to stand up securely. This was overall a great purchase.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas this year, being that he rides motorcycles and always comments on how cool the Lego Technic products look. Pros: Two bike options; sport or chopper A bit more of a "challenging" build - with really neat features such as actually building the bike chain! Each bike component actually functions and operates - the pistons in the engine actually move, so cool! Kit is excellent quality, exactly what you would expect from a Lego product. Cons: None. If you are on the fence about buying this, don't be. It is an excellent product for it's value.

I purchased this item as a Christmas present for my nephew who LOVES LEGO. The technic series is pretty challenging which is just what my nephew needs as he was completing other sets in a couple hours. It was his first motorcycle and he is in love with it. Wonderful thing is the instructions provided allows him to build the motorcycle in two different styles, so extra bang for your buck.
