Great bird feeder!
I bought this feeder for the bay window in our living room which is elevated about 8 feet from the ground. We've tried numerous supposedly squirrel proof feeders in the past with limited luck. So far (in 3 months) we have not had any squirrels at all on this feeder! We see them busy gathering acorns in the yard, but they haven't even attempted to reach this feeder. And may it continue! There are also no bushes or trees nearby that they can launch themselves from. As indicated by others in the reviews, it did take about 4 weeks or so for birds to start coming to it, but once they did, it became "bird central"! So much so, that we purchased the other clear bird feeder that looks like a little house. Now we have birds going to both feeders. It's wonderful to see them so close, especially the cardinals and other colorful species! I wrapped jute string around the perch bar of the second one we purchased (the little house looking one) since that model doesn't have the black grip strip for perching that this one does. It was cheap and easy to do and looks great. Both this and the other feeder are easy to refill with seed and also to clean (have only had to clean this one once so far - birds do sometimes poop where they eat!) and the suction cups work great - very strong. Here's a tip I was given from a bird enthusiast for strong adherence of the suction cups: once you've properly cleaned the glass with window cleaner where you've decided to put the feeder up, rub each suction cup on the end of your nose before pressing it into the glass. Sounds funny, I know, but the oils on your nose will make the suction cups have a very strong seal. Works like a dream! Haven't had any slippage or similar even with two birds perched at once. I do highly recommend this feeder!

Great bird feeder!
I’m so glad I bought this! It sticks strongly to the window as confirmed by other reviews, is great quality, and easy to mount. I had birds visiting after only two days! My cats love watching them and birds are getting fed. It’s a win-win. I live in AZ and the summer heat hasn’t hit yet nor has any rain so I’m not sure how it’ll withstand those conditions, but so far so good.

Not Entirely Squirrel-Proof
Update: 3/19/20 I originally gave this product 5 stars, then changed it to 3. Now I'm changing it back to 5. Nature's Hangout reached out to me after reading my review and offered to replace the item. I agreed to give it another chance. I'm extremely impressed with their customer service and how committed they were to making me happy. They promptly sent out a replacement then followed up again to make sure I was satisfied. Which I am. While the overall product is the same, and my experiences which led me to reduce my rating still apply, I now realize that I can't really fault the product itself for my misfortunes. And I admit I have no advice on how the overall strength and durability can be improved. However, I have taken steps to preserve my window feeder and keep squirrels away from it. Unfortunately, my plan to just use safflower seed failed as the squirrels were more than happy to eat it. So, I now ONLY use nyjer seed. Squirrels are not interested in it at all. The downside to this though is that it severely limits the types of birds that will eat it, and around here it's typically finches and mourning doves. I miss seeing the cardinals at my window, but I can still see them on my pole feeders protected by squirrel baffles. But now that the squirrels aren't interested in this window feeder, it hasn't fallen or broken at all. After a lengthy experience now with this feeder, my best advice is to 1) make sure you clean the window before attaching this, it'll help the feeder stay suctioned if there's no dirt and 2) try placing this feeder above a soft ground surface to minimize risk of breakage if it falls and 3) I strongly advise using seed that squirrels don't like as this feeder isn't strong enough to support their weight. One squirrel likely won't cause it to fall, but two squirrels is just too much weight. Update: 10/27/19 Changing my review from 5 stars to 3. After 7 months or so of having this up on my window, it has fallen down a few times on its own. It cracked the first time but was still usable. The second time it fell a couple of pieces actually broke off, but again it was still usable. Now it has fallen a third time and it has completely broken apart. I just don't know if the price justifies buying another one after less than a year of use. I wish this item was more durable because I really did enjoy it while it lasted. Original Review March 2019: I'm giving this product five stars because it's sturdy, suction cups are strong, and appears to be a great window bird feeder. However, in my case it has only served as a squirrel feeder. I didn't think squirrels would be able to get to it, but how naive I was. I put it high up on a window with no bushes or other jumping points for squirrels, but they were pretty determined. And when there's a will, there's a way. After several failed attempts to climb the glass, they figured out how to climb the sides of the window to access the seeds. At one point there were two squirrels on it fighting over who gets the treasure. The bird feeder was strong enough to support the weight of two squirrels, but it did end up tipping on its side. I can't fault the feeder itself though, as I could put any feeder on the window and have the same issue. It's just a shame that I can't use it for its intended purpose.

Great feeder but too small for cardinals
Great feeder for small birds like finches and juncos. Cardinals can not fit so I was disappointed in that

Cat TV!
I would give this higher than a 5 star rating if I could. I have officially become a crazy bird lady since purchasing the Window Bird Feeder by Nature’s Hangout! I recently moved into a townhome with a small backyard that backs up to some big trees. My two cats have been glued to the windows watching outside, so I knew I had to add a bird feeder aka cat tv. I know it’s not the ideal setup for the birds (the fence is solid so it’s not easy for them to see), but we’ve had quite a bit of activity since adding it so I’m super happy about that. I do spread out some seed on the top of my fence to entice them over. I even pull out the bird identifier pamphlet that was included to try to identify the birds in the backyard (lots of cardinals!) My cats are absolutely glued to watching the birds, and I know the birds can feast safely on the other side of the glass. It was super easy to hang, super easy to refill, and hasn’t budged since I first installed it. Buy it and join the crazy bird lady side!

Great size, easy to fill & clean, birds love it!
Easy to install on window. Clean glass with Windex, the rub the oil off your nose and rub onto suction cups this helps secure them to the window. Great suction, easy to fill & clean removable tray. Put the feeder above another feeder (from Amazon) and in 5 minutes chickadees, nuthatches & sparrows were having a feast! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great window feeder! 😃👍

Great Feeder- Not Squirrel Proof
This bird feeder is an amazing product. It looks clean, made of durable and clear acetate and looks very chic and great quality. But it does have some flaws as well. Pros : All the above said and it comes with 3 great suction hooks to keep the bird feeder in place. It comes with 2 sections and holds upto 3-4 cups of birdseed. It is very easy to clean and love that the feeder cup can just be lifted out to empty the seed husk and replace with new seeds. The customer service is really fantastic. This is the only type of bird feeder which will give you and unblocked view of your feathered friends. I have a pesky neighbor who complains of birdseed falling into their patio which is caused by troublesome squirrels and not the birds. So after a lot of research I bought this feeder which according to the product and my calculations should have been completely out of reach to the squirrels. I attached this feeder to my patio’s glass door assuming the squirrels will stay away. I couldn’t be more wrong really. I’ve listed some of the cons below. Cons : Not squirrel proof at all! If even the feeder is 10 feet away, it’s a lost cause. The squirrels started getting frustrated and tried all possible ways of getting to the feeder jumping from any available object on the patio. They started chewing on my plants and dug up the garden out of frustration. They tried jumping from a distance of more than 10 feet causing me anxiety that they would eventually hurt themselves. All these antics by the terrorising squirrels stopped the birds from coming. Finally the squirrels started climbing the door holding the hinges and even spraying the door with a cooking spray didn’t work. They also scratched the glass door with their claws. Ultimately they discovered how to climb, jump and nestle inside the feeder perfectly. They cozily sit in the feeder and feed and spill a lot of seed down which completely defeated the purpose of buying it. Also, the birds stopped coming after a while except chickadees. The other thing to mention is the size is suitable only for finches and chickadees. The cardinals, woodpeckers and nuthatches completely stopped coming either because of the size of the feeder and shape of perch. At a time a maximum of 2 birds can feed in it. Going back to some more positives, it easily supports 2 squirrels. Haha! Also, it survived rain and frost and snow and sun. I reiterate here that it is a great feeder if placed at least 15 feet away from squirrel conquest. It’s not really squirrel proof coz honestly almost nothing can stop squirrels except the Brome range of bird feeders which cost more but are the only real solution. Finally, I took the bird feeder down and gave it a good clean up which was very easy and I plan to use it as a miniature window garden with succulents.

Works well!!
❤️ this!! I can finally enjoy doing the dishes while peeking out the window. Checking out the traffic lol. Mostly get chickadees and the finches, woodpecker, cardinal+ a couple other species I need to confirm.. No issues at all with it. I enjoy the longer length as on the odd occasion you'll see 2 (I got to see 2 cardinals 🥊 as they both landed at the same time but didn't want to share the food 😂) suction cups work and HAPPY with it so far!! IMPORTANT: when you first install it, out a small Bluetooth speaker outside. I played a YouTube Video of chickadee calls but I vary the calls and select birds you want to attract to your feeder!! I am getting endless of hours watching these sweethearts feed from the window + NO ANNOYING SQUIRRELS 🐿️ 🐿️ ❤️.

Perfect, strong suction cups, easy to clean
I love this bird feeder! The suction cups are extremely strong. Run them under warm water for two mins and then stick them on glass, they'll stick very very well. The design is clean, simple and practical. Waiting for birds to find my snacks :).

I wish I had bought this years ago!
Arrived extremely quickly. I'm very happy with this. It's is solidly constructed, it was easy to affix to the window, and the suction cups are very strong. I can't get it to budge. It's not going anywhere. It's only been up for an hour, so no birds yet, but I know there will be tons of birds there soon. I've attached a picture of what it looks like on my window. Excuse the dirty window -- I couldn't clean the inside window because another pane of glass is in the way because of the air conditioner. I will post more pictures once birds find it.
