Good Product, Good Company
In line with Coloplast's quality standards. One of the better-made bags available. Prices are about the same as if purchasing from Coloplast directly online, though shipping from Coloplast directly is considerably quicker (2 days for me). Details on these Amazon listings seem to be incomplete. For example, photos are not always showing bags that are clear vs. opaque. I do recommend this product and manufacturer! Reviewing this product negatively based on user error? This dilutes my confidence in reviews; it seems unfair. Taking off "points" because they're expensive? I hope the user doesn't have to learn the hard way, high prices are not unique to this product. Many customers simply get their supplies for free or almost-free and it's all handled by insurance, a scenario that is found throughout the healthcare industry. So it really shouldn't be a strike against this product (if your task is to review this product). All major label ostomy products are securely managed under the same insurance-company-driven phenomena. That being said, learning the hard way will involve possibly buying products with unrecognizable names on marketplaces like Amazon, and that can literally hurt. You're paying for some skin health and some accountability. While the system isn't perfect, buying name brands is the only road for a long-term patient, and they're all going to be expensive. If it's inexpensive, I would avoid completely. Bad experience because the bags don't "come with" wafers? They never do. This is not a simple sandbox, and the way it's typically managed doesn't make it feel any less complicated. Part of being a patient will become, like it or not, learning to be an expert at navigating supplies, measuring in millimeters, envisioning how products work if you haven't tried it yet (different systems), copying and pasting product ID codes ... or having your caretaker become the expert. There's no getting around it. Wafers and bags are mix and match; they all intermingle (as long as they are from the same manufacturer, product lines are what dictates if a wafer and a bag will fit together). Depending on your level of activity, four days is a respectable adhesion time! Consider replacing your whole appliance within four days if you find that's its limit. Consider trying click-ons if you haven't already. A bag lasting only "one day" is a legitimate gripe. I'd note the seller as well as any dates that might be on the packaging, as there could be old stock out there that's best avoided. If folks keep leaving disrespectful comments based on their own lack of understanding, and boasting they'll be returning the item because it doesn't come with a wafer, which no bags do and which is promised on this listing nowhere, it's likely Amazon will lose Coloplast's business entirely, and then we'll be left with third-parties trying to rip us off on already-expensive supplies mixed with Chinese knock-offs that cost nothing and tear your skin apart. That being said, Coloplast would do well more clearly describing their products on Amazon, and users would do well reviewing product lines on the Coloplast website, where much more explanation is provided. Coloplast makes good-quality products. In the scheme of things it's one of the best! I try to keep at least one month's supply on the shelf at all times.

Great
As longbas you don't need to change position,,once adhesion is complete,it's stuck on,I prefer locking tabs,to have adjustability from vertical to horizontal.

12272 SenSura Mio Maxi Drainable Pouch w/Filter is Great
Just used three sample Mio Maxi Pouches 12272 as replacement for the 11515 Sensura Maxi Pouch. The bag material felt more durable but the drain size open is the same. The most noticeable improvement is the Filter, it showed no sign of clogging after three days like the prior design. The pouch is a Maxi size but, it felt a little smaller than the prior design. Update from Coloplast, the Mio Pouch is 1/2 inch shorter than older 11515 Maxi pouch. One issue for me was the flexibility of the material when pushing waste to the bottom of pouch, away from the top filter. This was a requirement of that prior design to keep from clogging the filter. Well this design does not require this to be done. The new design has a circular Pre-Filter that keeps the filter protected. Are the older SenSura Pouch and Base Plate compatible with the Mio? If you still have the older 11515 pouches and don't want to throw them to the trash, it will fit the Mio Base Plate 16483. This is also true for the old Base Plate 11303, the new Mio Pouch 12272 will fit it. Note that the new Mio Pouches come 10/Box whereas the prior designed pouches 11515 are 20/box. Over all I'm switching to the Mio 2-piece products do to the Base Plate seal flexibility and the Pouch filter improvement.

Base plates sold separately
Pricey for sure and they don't even send you the wafer with the bags and the design at the bottom is stupid. You have to wipe poop off of it after you empty it. Instead of just cleaning out the inside of the drainage part.

Don't burp it, don't put it on slightly off center, don't....
Don't burp it...it will eventually stop sticking and leak on you while you're sleeping. Don't put it on slightly off center, it will get wet and leak on your while you're sleeping. As far as the drain, don't expect any liquidy output not to escape a bit into the folds, so you have to touch the output to completely unfold and drain it. This will happen even with absorbent products in the bag and thicker output. Then, if you're in a public restroom, you get to wipe your hands off with whatever you can, and touch your pants to pull them back up, knowing what's on your hands, before you can leave the stall and wash your hands. So at least that's fun...if you enjoy imagining poo germs invading your pants and forming towns. I personally don't, but to each their own. The new image bags have a better drain that never had liquid all over the folds and never got stuff on my hands, and any click on system will work better than this adhesive system does. No one wants to wake up suddenly because they put their hand in something wet unexpectedly.

This product is totally worthless!
Arrived 10 days late. Impossible to figure out how to make it fit a stoma.
