Review: lots of recipes, no fluff - Lots of recipes for your Instant Pot, something for any occasion. I like the fact that there is no fluff - no long instructions about what exactly to do and no background information about how the author's grandmother developed the recipe decades ago in the home country. Review: INSTANT POT RECIPES - The Ultimate Instant Pot Cookbook contains hundreds of recipes, from basic and simple to more complex dishes, but still easy-to-prepare dishes, all using an instant pot. The chapters are broken down into categories: Basic and Simple Breakfast & Brunch Beans & Grains Pasta & Rice Fish & Seafood Poultry Pork Beef & Lamb Vegetarian & Vegan Soups, Stews & Chilis Side Dishes Snack & Appetizers Desserts My Instant Pot Favorites It also has Instant Pot cooking times and a recipe index. The recipes list all the ingredients, the number of servings (which seems to be 4-6 on average), and Directions. What I like is that the recipes are REAL INGREDIENTS, not hard to find things, and there is something for everyone. The downside, which is just my personal preference, is that it contains no pictures of recipes. For the cost of $10, it is a bargain and worth it--even without pictures that would have driven up the cost of the book.

Great recipes, wish there was more info
I love cooking and am always looking for new cookbooks to give me more inspiration. And I LOVE my pressure cooker. I use it at least once a week, if not more often, and have felt my tried and true recipes are getting old. I needed new ideas so was thrilled to try this cookbook out. The recipes are easy to follow, well written, and I didn't notice grammatical or mechanics errors. For nearly every recipe, the ingredients were things that are simple to find (even in these tough times of COVID shortages) or items I already had on hand in my home. And the few I have tried so far have been great. The kids have eaten them (2 of my 3 are extremely picky eaters, so finding things they like is near impossible most nights) and my husband has plenty of leftovers for work the next day. The only downfalls that I saw with this cookbook.... - The intro says there are 800 recipes in the collection, but some are simple things like making hardboiled eggs, which I do not consider a "recipe" in any way. Others are repeated. I saw a few recipes that were in multiple sections of the book. The recipes are all numbered (so number 800 is Caramel-Walnut Brownies), so I didn't have to sit and count the recipes to determine how many there were, but with the repeats, there are not 800. - Being a Kindle edition, there were no pictures included. So much of what we do in today's world is visually based. I find it inspiring to see what the final outcome should look like. I realize that there is no way to include a picture for EVERY recipe, but I do appreciate having some visual appeal to cookbooks for inspiration, guidance, and to break up the overall white space on each page. I have seen other Kindle books where there are images included, but am not sure how much it adds to the overall file size and if that was the reason images were left out, or if they simply were not taken. - Creator credits - I did not see any indication of who created the recipes. I always assume the author of the book who compiled it was the person who created the recipes, but there is not indication in this collection as to whether the author created them or simply compiled a group of favorite recipes that were then converted to insta-pot recipes. - Nutritional information was not included. Being one who is trying to be more health conscious and who has a teenager who is learning how to cook healthy meals for himself as he prepares for life on his own soon, we go over the nutritional information in most recipes. I would have liked to have known the calories, carbs, etc. per portion. It tells you how many servings the recipe gives you, but nothing more. I would appreciate seeing full nutritional values so that I can better determine what to make for my family or where I might feel it best to substitute something else. There are plenty of apps that can give you full nutrional information if you input your recipe, so though it might have taken a little more work from the author, it would have made for a much more informative, beneficial cookbook overall. But overall this is a nice collection of recipes that can be used with any pressure cooker. Though it is written specifically for Insta-pot users, I have had no problem figuring out how to use them with my off brand pressure cooker and have found success. Definitely a good starting point for someone new to pressure cooking. I would have given this a 5 star rating had there been just a little more information.

These recipes taste great!
Hard boiled eggs perfected! 5mins pressure cooker, 5mins rest, 5mins ice water. German ocktoberfest sausage, awesome! Mashed potatoes awesome! So many recipes it's going to take awhile to find my favorites!๐

Sometimes I want to See pictures
Lots of recipes but no pictures. Just not a very inviting book once you open it up. Hopefully itโll taste better than it looks on the inside.

Great simple and creative recipes for my new appliance.
I bought an Instapot several months ago, but I didn't really know "how" to use it. This cookbook is great because it has so many different kinds of recipes that allow the cook to put together simple ingredients and finish cooking them in 30 to 60 minutes. This is a boon for anyone who works, but wants to know and control the quality of what they are eating. No more standing in the kitchen minding a pot on and off for hours, stirring, etc. Just put your ingredients in, select the right program (i.e., rice, beans, etc.) and go. It's done by the time you finish the rest of the meal by making a salad or other starter. Shipped quickly, was well packed, and is as described. Big enough print that I don't have to squint to read it. Highly recommend.

Good recipes and terrific organization
I started pressure cooking years ago with stove-top cookers and still have one (yes, with jiggle weight on top). I admit I was somewhat amused at claims by proponents of auto cookers that "It takes only ten mins to cook . . ." . Too often they failed to mention the time it takes to bring food up to pressure followed by time for release of that pressure. In this cookbook, there is no confusion. Each recipe begins with a brief description and a bar chart which lists time per step--from time to prep to total time--and number of servings. Don't have 50 mins? Choose another recipe. Each cooking step and finished dish is pictured. The author includes tips and useful ingredient suggestions. The recipes that I have so far made are very good. The organization and presentation of those recipes, stellar. Thanks in large part to Eisner's book, I'm discovering the pleasure of pushing a button and walking away to do other things as my InstantPot does its thing for me. I love multitasking. The jiggle weight? Keeps book open to the right page.

๐ฏI normally donโt like recipe books without photos butโฆ
So I normally donโt go for recipe books that donโt have photos. If I want to cook some thing, I want to at least be able to measure my success by seeing what it supposed to look like. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a couple of recipes that Iโve made in the past that were converted to used in the Insta pot. Like cheeseburger soup. It is an amazing recipe that I never have time for because there are several steps to make it good. So imagine my surprise to find an Insta pot version that I can make on any given day. Itโs a great recipe. My prejudice about cookbooks not having photos goes back for decades but Iโm really pleasantly surprised that this cookbook is simple enough not to need photos. Especially the soups and stews. And at the very worst, you can Google what the recipe looks like and move on from that. Iโve already filled up pages with cut out Post-itโs for recipes I expect to be trying in the upcoming weeks as it gets colder. This is really a no nonsense great recipe book to have for quick cooking. I live the old classic recipes like smothered pork chops. I can already smell them!

Lots of very good recipes
Love the fact that this book has so many choices. There are so many types of foods out there and it seems that this book has most of them included in it. I've already tried a few and they're great and EASY !!

A meal for every meal!
This book is amazing! I do not say this lightly; I am very difficult to please when it come to recipe books but this one is the bees knees! 800 recipes and in my opinion there is something for every one. I became so excited when flipping though on the day of delivery and I realised I had a meal already prepared for my family staring at me from the pages of this book. I used to struggle for ideas everyday and ended up sometimes with a tried and trusted previous dinner but ultimately boring evening meals. This book has changed my life for the better. One can use a meal idea from this book and just change a couple of ingredients and give it a tweak to make it your own but the bones of the meal is already there. My son bought me the Instant Pot and I just looked at it wondering how on earth this will make my life easier but here is the book to go with it and my meal creating world has just opened up for me. I highly recommend this book and I guarantee you will thank me for my recommendation! Love love love it!

Nice book with American measurements.
It's a very nice book with lots of delicious recipes. The book does have a full contents list and index. The only downfall for the book is that all measurements are in American imperial so there's a lot of converting while cooking with it. It's also good to note if you do buy the book is that a cup of flour does not convert the same as a cup of another ingredients so always look it up. Don't assume.
