The movie is based on the murder of Missy Avila. I also saw interviews with the murdered girl's mother. She appeared on several talk shows that included conversations with one of the murderers - Karen Severson - from prison. The movie is very well made and Patty Duke's acting is especially superb (as usual). This story is a reminder that people are not always what they seem, and that there is no limit to the evil that can result from jealousy. After killing Missy Avila, one of the murderers, Karen Severson actually moved into the victim's home, pretending to find the killer, when what she really wanted was to watch (and enjoy) the victim's mother suffer. And, to illustrate our pathetic justice system, this piece of human garbage, Karen Severson, has been paroled. Review: Great movie - Sad the way they did their alledgely best friend. Worth Watching

Patty Duke is empowered!
I have always been a Patty Duke fan from the distant days of her sit-com where she played a double role. This particular story is true, and is quite sympathetic to the victim, unlike the accounts you can find on-line that claim the victim was less "innocent." Regardless, the plot moves along well and some people have it all figured out before the ending. Recommend without reservation.

This movie is so sad, and what makes it even sadder is that it's based on a true story 💔. It just goes to show, that we really don't know people like we think we do. It's terrible what Jenny's so called best friends did to her, and it was difficult to watch. When Patty Dukes character wailed after learning of her daughters demise, that was difficult to watch to :(. A lot of nerve of those girls to show up at Jennifer's funeral, and then Ellen moving in to her house. A lot of arrogance. Michelle Avila (may she rest in peace) never had a chance...it's a shame...

Excellent Movie
Depicts how people can have two sides to their personality and deceive others. The star of the movie lives with, Patty Duke, who plays a mother who had a daughter killed. She is vicious and evil and no one sees it for awhile. Has a good ending.
