Ferrari at Sixty charts the history of the marquee, from Enzo Ferrari's involvement with Alfa Romeo, through the greatest cars to today's incredible gatherings around the world, where some of the finest examples of Ferrari's ever to grace our roads and circuits are brought together. In addition to archive footage, this program boasts spectacular film of classic and modern masterpieces from the Prancing Horse in action on road and track. The celebration continues with mouth watering close-up looks at the modern supercars, as well as superb footage of some of the greatest models being put through their paces, and then looks to the future with the GT cars of the 21st century and the extraordinary Ferrari FXX, a limited production prototype which will truly bring Formula One technology to the road. For many viewers, a highlight of Ferrari at Sixty will be the championship celebration, footage of an incredible gathering to celebrate double F1 victory in 2007, when Ferrari claimed not only the manufacturer's title, but Kimi Raikkonen also snatched the driver's championship at the final round. Raikkonen is joined by teammate Felipe Massa and Grand Prix legend Michael Schumacher as he takes to the track with today's Formula One cars for some truly tyre-smoking fast laps. The skilful mix of archive and modern footage makes this the ultimate celebration of Ferrari as it celebrates 60 years of automotive excellence. Amazing Documentary Featuring Enzo and Old Ferraris
Absolutely excellent documentary of the history of Ferrari, I really enjoyed the feature of the Enzo and older Ferraris. I now realize old Ferraris are both cool and beautiful too.

He just got his dream car, a 2002 Ferrari, and was delighted when I gave him this video. We both watched and found it both interesting and informative.

Up to date Ferrari info with great color.
The video had many points of information but tended to run on a bit. The photography and color was excellent.

ferrari at 60
Obwohl man diese DVD nur in englisch sehen kann, ist sie sehr gut! Bilder sagen doch sowieso mehr als 1000 Worte oder? Sehr schöne Aufnahmen in 116 Minuten! Als Ferrari-fan kann ich jedem nur diese DVD empehlen. Also meinen Erwartungen überragt sie alles!

Träume in Rot
Aus Anlass des 60jährigen Jubiläums der italienischen Mythos-Marke ist diese DVD Ende 2007 produziert worden. Angesichts der Vielzahl sehr mäßiger filmischer Dokumentationen über Ferrari kann diese Darstellung der Geschichte Ferraris durchaus überzeugen. Sowohl die Rennsporthistorie als auch die Straßenfahrzeuge werden gewürdigt. Insbesondere die zeitgenössischen Filmdokumente zu Ferraris großer Zeit bei den Langstreckenrennen der Sportwagen und Prototypen sind eine Betrachtung wert. Begeistern können auch die bis ins Detail gehenden Ausleuchtungen des Ferrari Enzo und die Aufnahmen aus dem Werk in Maranello sowie die Fahraufnahmen eines Enzo mit Michael Schumacher am Steuer. Zahlreiche Sequenzen stammen von den Ferrari World Finals in Mugello 2007, da hätte man sich eine etwas liebevollere Auswahl gewünscht. Um so schöner sind dafür die Aufnahmen vom Pebble Beach Concours in Kalifornien. Die Entwicklung der V8-Sportwagen bis zum F430 wird ziemlich eingehend dargestellt, während die Formel 1-Geschichte nur eine schwerpunktmäßige Betrachtung erfährt. Eine wirklich erschöpfende Betrachtung Ferraris würde allerdings auch die Möglichkeiten eines 116minütigen Filmes sprengen. Insgesamt aber wird die Faszination Ferrari in knapp zwei Stunden vielfältig, interessant und optisch attraktiv vermittelt. Schade nur, dass das alles im veralteten 4:3 statt im aktuellen 16:9 TV-Format erfolgt.
