Dependable Power, Clear Sound, and NO HUM! :)
I love the MXR Brick! I am a guitar effects hobbyist who also has fun TRYING to play ukulele, lap dulcimer, and even digital piano ; plus, I enjoy listening to recorded music. For quite some time over the past few years, I had been irritated by a nagging hum and distortion throughout the entire amp system. Quite by accident, I discovered that the entry-level, daisy-chain 110-volt adapter for my guitar effects pedals was causing much of the problem. Often the hum was loud enough to drown out or distort the music Well, this year, upon receiving some Christmas money, I added some of my own and ordered an MXR "DC Brick" Power Supply, Model 237. In an instant. the hum disappeared, and the advanced clarity of my monitor speakers returned. Even my lousy guitar playing sounded better! // This outstanding MXR power supply -- with its reasonable price; compact, solid-state build; and multiple 9V and 18 V power outlets -- was the perfect answer to my noisy, grounding/feedback hum problem. It may be yours, too!

Awesome power supply awesome quality
Immediately noticed when using this there is no noise so I'm as happy as can be with it. I probably won't use the 18v but it's very nice to have it if I do want or need to use it at some point. overall great investment for your pedals. Also love that the unit is small so it doesn't take up a lot of space.

It's MXR you can't go wrong.
Bought this power supply to run the pedal board I'm in the process of building. Only running 3 pedals on it now but it works like a champ. It's also smaller than I anticipated which is cool, less pedal board real estate used which is always an issue. You all know what I mean.

Cleaned up my pedalboard nicely!
Awesome product. I 3D printed a bracket to mount it under my pedaltrain board and it cleaned everything up beautifully!

Works great
updating my review: I've got 4 of these now. my original 2 from a year or two ago are still holding up with no issue and it was my go-to when i wanted to expand my setup. it's a great value and powers all of my pedals with no issue so far. its small form factor is a big plus as well, making it easy to hide away or mount anywhere in your setup.

Does the job in a smaller frame than most
Much more affordable and compact than all the isolated power supplies from Voodoo Lab and One Spot, and I’ve never had any noise issues. Even when every 9v port is in use, and it’s in very close proximity to about 6 pedals. Also, the fact that it’s so small and has 4 ports on each side made it perfect for my custom build. The only modestly priced upgrade in a small enclosure I’ve found is the Voodoo Lab x8, and I would highly recommend buying that for $150. (Not from Amazon). 500 mA per isolated output, in case you’re pedals are really power hungry

With great power comes great rock-ability
Love this power supply - works with all my Boss pedals and MXR pedals so far. Well worth the investment, and a much better price than some of the other ones out there. The actual box is small enough to fit on a board (although the power supply box is quite big to plug in). Only thing this doesn't have is a variety of cord sizes (meaning the plug end, not the length) - this package comes with a bunch of cords that fit Boss & MXR pedals no problem, but I have some bigger pedals (Line 6 & Digitech Whammy) that have a larger plug input, so I'll need to search for a special pack of cords to fit those probably? Otherwise, very good investment!

THE FIRST PEDAL YOU SHOULD BUY.
If you are starting out building a pedal board and wondering what pedal you should buy first, this is it. No, really, BUY THIS FIRST! This should be your first pedal. Listen... When I was a boy I used a string of wall warts mounted in a surge protector velcro'd under my home made pallet wood pedal board and it was the most hideous thing you ever saw or heard... And now decades later we have power supply's that can literally fit in the palm of our hands, or shirt pockets! Pedal power supply's have come a long way since then and the kids these day's don't know how good they got it. So take some wisdom from an old timer kids, do this first, invest in a solid power supply before anything else, then get a good tuner, then start adding your pedals, and use soldered cables, do not do it backwards. You will save yourself a lot of time and money with a good power supply, it will literally pay for itself over time. The MXR DC Brick or ISO Brick are good starting points for any aspiring musician to build their legacy upon. Now go forth and rock! \m/

Great unit
This is a great unit at a good price. This is in fact my third one. I was using two with a substancial pedal board and without thinking, sold them with all of my pedals and started using a multieffects unit. I have since sold my multieffects unit and have gone back to a series of pedals, thus needing the unit again. It is not noisy and works like it should. And the price is right.

It's the best thing that I've bought for my pedals
It's the best thing that I've bought for my pedals. You can easily connect 8 9v DC pedals or 2 18v DC pedals, which is the most common thing in all pedals. I'm using mxr and ehx pedals and it works fine with it . Boss and Ibanez have the same output in common. You will get connectors and adapter with all kind of socket types inside one box.
