Decent Ear Defenders, Perfect for ASD/SPD
Overall, decent ear defenders. I use them both for sensory reduction and have used them for shooting twice (much better than the standard issue in terms of comfort, on par with noise reduction). Pros: - Seal nicely and still provide adequte noise reduction even if hair gets in the way - Can be ajusted as needed, will fit most heads - Are relatively low profile, so can be worn under a hoodie - so if like in my case - you wear them in public for sensory purposes (compared to other brands) - The small padded band, while small significantly increases comfort - While others have stated that they can become uncomfortable with time, this is like 3 hours continuous use - Foam inserts can be removed when wiping down the ear defenders Cons: - They have held up so far, while they don't feel of overly high quality, they don't feel (e.g. like the plastic won't break easily) - For thoes using for sensory purposes, these won't pass as headphones, but neither will any others on the market (other than the Alpine's maybe). But then again, no one on the street is paying more attention than a glance. - The padded band can move from side to side when putting on, so just make sure that is is comfy so it doesn't irritate you in any way

Painfully tight at first but a good buy
These are incredibly tight when you first get them- stretch them over the box for a few hours before you first use them. I've been storing them over the box when not in use as I've found they can become a bit tight again when I don't. They don't block as much sound as I'd initially hoped- though I wasn't expecting them to block everything. However, I've found that they work best for me when I pair them with earphones- that way I can still block out more sound while easily being able to pay attention to my environment when I need to. Overall, these are pretty comfortable for long-term wearing, easy to adjust- even factoring in the earphones. The price point is pretty decent too. I would definitely recommend these as I use them whenever I go out.

Chainsaw Much Quieter - My Ears Finally Get a Break!
I bought these ear defenders mainly for when I’m using my chainsaw, because anyone who’s used one knows it sounds like an angry swarm of metal bees trying to start a rock concert next to your head. First time I used them I was honestly impressed. Without ear protection the chainsaw is properly loud and your ears feel it afterwards. With these on, the noise dropped a lot and you can still hear the saw (which is good, because you probably should), but the decibels are clearly reduced and it takes that harsh edge off the sound. Instead of “JET ENGINE IN MY EAR,” it becomes more like “loud tool doing its job.” Much nicer. They’re also really comfortable. The padding is soft and they don’t clamp your head like a medieval torture device. I wore them for a decent amount of time cutting wood and forgot I even had them on. The 2-pack is actually handy as well. One pair lives in the shed with the tools, and the other is there in case someone’s helping… or if I misplace the first pair (which happens more than I’d like to admit). Pros: - Noticeably lowers the chainsaw noise - Comfortable to wear for longer jobs - Solid build quality - Two pairs for the price Only tiny downside: Your ears might get a bit warm after a while, but honestly that’s normal with ear defenders. Overall: If you’re using chainsaws, mowers, or other loud tools, these do exactly what you want drop the decibel level and save your ears from sounding like they’ve just left a heavy metal concert. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My ears are much happier now.

Perfect for London Underground
On the plus side these ear defenders work well for blocking screeching on parts of London Underground where the wheels scrape against the track, such as Northern line between Camden and Euston and Central line near Stratford. They also allow you to hear natural conversation while blocking out higher or lower range noises. On the minus side they squeeze the head and are uncomfortable after a few minutes. For short-term use they are fine. I tested these defenders in various scenarios: Pneumatic drill - I stood three feet from a workman in the street using a drill on the pavement - excellent, sounded like the drill was half a mile away. Drum concert - heavy night-club type bass - no effect, didn’t work to keep out bass. London Underground - screeching as train wheels grind the track - good, prevents noise from being ear-piercing. Washing up chinaware in the sink - plates and cutlery banging and crashing - good, they prevent the noise from being painful. You must ensure the noise blockers fit right around the sides of your face. The slightest mis-fit due to the mufflers not being positioned properly, and they basically don’t work. E.g. if you wear a woolly hat that gets in the way of the defenders, they won’t work. These are not noise cancellers but noise blockers. There is no cancelling effect but don't let that put you off. I would recommend these.

Product not true to pictures in listing.
They don’t look like the image in the advertisement. They look and feel cheaper. Not the smooth finish, more a cheap pitted plastic finish. Fit range isn’t great. Cheaper ear defenders from Screwfix are much better and more robust.

Great for young adults with ASD
My son has autism level 2 and once starting college struggled with the collective noise generated from a large place of learning where there is a lot of movement and chatter (mainly in break periods). These defenders are good quality with a wide fit that closes comfortably over ears. The noise was reduced to a low hum which my son stated enabled him to cope better.

Muffle noise like i wanted. Not meant to erase it.
Super. Just as well as i bought 4 pairs! 2 for my son who autism & like myself likes his own noise but not anyone elses. And 2 for me because i have perma sensitive, sore ears from chronic otitis externa (diabetes related). And my sons noise during a meltdown can be overwhelming! The only slight issue is i can not figure out how to adjust them, they are a tight fit. But someone else adjusted them for me so they are adjustable.
