Window Remounted - Leaks Eliminated
I was replacing my 26 year old headliner in my F-150 and I had noticed while traveling through the car wash that my rear window was leaking to the interior of the truck. The removal and replacement is not a super complicated job, but it has many steps and is time consuming (lots of disassembly, surface prep, reassembly). While the headliner was out, I decided to perform the resealing event. This 3M product is well designed and worked as expected. Since sealing is required on both the trim ring bezel and the window frame itself, it required about 1 1/2 rolls of this product. There are YouTube videos that explain the process, but I appreciated that there were no surprises from this 3M product and it worked flawlessly (adhered when it should, crushed properly when needed, and could be reset if located wrong). Like most 3M stuff, it was kind of pricey, but I was looking for ease of installation and hopefully long term results. If your window application needs this type of product, recommend it.

Quality window sealant
Great quality sealant for the back glass of a 2002 F150 Lariat. Have had no leaks (rain or pressurized water during a wash) since replacing the original seal with this one. Make certain to remove all traces of original seal from both the glass and the frame or it won't form a proper seal (alcohol works wonder's to do a final wipe down of the frame and glass edge to remove any oily residues leftover from other cleaners before seal installation).

Worked extremely well
Used this product to install a sliding back window in my 2011 Ford Ranger. Was easy to work with, not messy at all, and sealed my new back window, without any leaks!!

Perfect
I love this crap and use it for way more than I probably should for random stuff in my car. Itโs like my redneck go-to adhesive.

Works well as car door vapor barrier sealer
I used this stuff to replace the leaking adhesive seal between my car's door and the plastic vapor barrier. Over time (20+ years) dirt and water caused the factory seal to fail near the bottom of the door allowing water to collect and drip inside on to the sill plate and interior. FYI: My 3M box did come with the two setting blocks. They were kind of hidden between the folded down cardboard flaps that keep the roll centered inside the box. The blocks are not utilized in the vapor barrier seal replacement. There is enough sealer to do two car doors. The hardest part is removing the old adhesive from the door and the vapor barrier. A clean surface is important for a good seal. I used 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, Quart, 08984 which worked quite well. Note: The 3M cleaner is dangerous so use proper gloves and a respirator in a well ventilated area. Two months of record rains later and still no leak. Hopefully the repair lasts longer than the car. If I were to do this repair again, I would purchase a new vapor barrier rather than clean off the old one (took a couple of hours), but this window weld sealer would still be required as would cleaning off the metal door surface.

Perfect fix for 2011 F150
This stuff is great. The job on a 2011 F150 is not too difficult; Itโs just time-consumingโฆ I did it myself in 4 hours including removing the rear seat (not put it back yet admittedly as Iโm drying the carpet). The Top Tip I would share is that Brake cleaner does an amazing job of removing the old seal remnants off the paint. I pulled over half a gallon of water out of the back of my truck cab, and thereโs still more soaked in the carpets. Donโt be like me and put it off - as soon as you notice condensation inside your truck, get the seal changed.

Excellent - Resealed (notorious) 2002 F150 Rear Window
Product is very easy to work with and apply, seal is perfect - no more leaks. Plenty of material to work with, in my case on a 2002 F150 rear window I had at a few ft left over. Actually cleaning the OEM foam-core butyl took hours and hours, thankfully this job should be one-and-done for the lifetime of the vehicle.
