A 12-year-old's review
This is the superb sequel to Super Mario RPG, Legend of the Seven Stars. There is a twist though -- 2D characters in a 3-dimensional Mario universe. This is one of my favorite games of all time. There are many reasons for this. First, the plot. Bowser takes the Star Rod which grants wishes, and uses it to defeat Mario and capture Peach's castle by lifting it up in the air! Second, Mario has many diverse partners in this game, and all of them are excellent. You can even control a Goomba, a Koopa, and a Boo! Mario is cute as well. Third, you can read Luigi's diary which is hilarious, in my opinion. You also have interludes as Princess Peach and an adorable little Star Spirit named Twink. Some of the best scenes in the game are controlling Princess Peach! For example, in one of the Peach interludes, Peach acquires a Sneaky Parasol (a participation prize that is far superior to the one she actually wins) which allows her, with the press of a button, to turn herself into the creature next to her. This is one of my favorite moments of the game. Fourth, Bowser appears quite a bit, which is a plus, considering that he is usually a final boss. The fifth reason this game is so superlative is the side quests. Trying to find all the badges, Star Pieces, the ultimate level up, and more can keep you busy for a long time besides beating the game. There's a lot of game play in the game. The normal game will probably take you about 30 hours, and the side quests about 10. This means about 40 hours of game play, and you will want to replay it quite a bit. One more reason is that this game has great graphics. They are colorful and pretty! This is why I love Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Paper Mario is the paper master
This is the wonderful sequel to Super Mario rpg the legend of the seven stars. That was the first Mario rpg game EVER. And this is the 2nd Mario rpg game. I know that this is called Paper Mario but this can also be called Super Mario rpg 2, it can also be called Super Mario 64 2. Don't bealive what some people say about this game being awful, this is great. The story is once again Bowser Captured princess Peach, but Bowser came with the star rod which has the power to grant all wishes. The 7 star spirits were in star heaven they the star rod used to grant good peoples wishes when Bowser stole the star rod he became invincible, and the 7 star spirits were captured each held separtely. So at a party at princess Peache's castle Bowser deafeted Mario. But the 7 star spirits revived him. World 1 The Koapa bros. fortress you must deafet the Koapa bros. World 2 Dry dry deasart you must go to the dry dry ruins where you must defeat tutankoapa. World 3 The invincible Tuba bluba you must find out Tuba bluba's weak point. World 4 Shy guys toy box you must defeat the army of shy guys and their leader Geanaral guy. World 5 Mount lava lava island you must go to the Yoshi village, the Jade jungle, inside the volcano and deafet the Lava Priana 2 times. World 6 Flower fields you must destroy the puff puff machine so the clouds will all disappear and the sun will rise, then go to cloudy, climb and deafet Huff'n puff. World 7 You must go to Shiver city, Shiver mountain, and the Crystal palace where you must defeat the Crystal king. He is very hard. he has 70 hp. and can heal himself 20 hp. World 8 Bowser's castle You beat Bowser thanks to the help of the 7 star spirits.

but is otherwise in very good condition. It looks as though someone had started ...
Cartridge had a number of fairly deep, small scratches on the back, but is otherwise in very good condition. It looks as though someone had started carving their name into it, which hadn't been disclosed. The cartridge worked, but would freeze about every 15-30 minutes during the first hour and a half or so of the game. I ended up having to repeat a lot, and zip through things to reach save blocks to manage through it. I'm about 3.5 hours in now, and while there is occasional slowdown, it seems to be functioning all right. It did arrive very quickly, so at least I didn't have to wait long for it.

Keeps you intrigued if you can get past the story format
A much better RPG than some of the others that have been on the Nintendo 64, *cough*THQ*cough*. Although it is written in a children's story format, it has enough extras and a good story line to keep you entertained for hours, no matter what age you may be. I realize that this was at one time going to be a sequel to Super Mario RPG and I know that a lot of ppl like to trash this game because of Nintendo decided to call it something completely different, but its best to think of it as a completely new game since a lot of new elements are introduced in this game (badges, star pieces, etc) as well as new characters. The difference between the sequel relationship of these two games and Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger, is that this game does not bother with making a connection to the previous Super Mario RPG game, since the game is called Paper Mario after all and not Super Mario RPG 2, also the game contains no previous characters from the first Mario RPG. Chrono Cross on the other hand made a half-baked attempt to connect to the previous Chrono Trigger game one third of the way thru, it probably would of been better if they would of made an entirely different game out of it, like Nintendo did in this situation.

Fantastic Game!
"Paper Mario" was one of my all-time favorite games growing up. I remember playing this game so many times that I practically became an expert at it. But, I had lost my game cartridge, to my dismay. I tried searching for it everywhere I could think of, but to no avail. As a result, I just decided to purchase "Paper Mario" again. I have had the game for over a month, and I have been able to play it with absolutely no problems at all. The game cartridge itself is in exactly the same condition described on here, and most importantly, the memory feature within the cartridge works just fine. As for the game itself, everything looks exactly as how I remember it. The graphics and the sound are intact, the dialogue spoken throughout the game can be read perfectly well, and the battle sequences (best part of this game, in my opinion) function properly. Any fan of Mario should play this game.

I bought this game for my sister's birthday. We used to play it when we were younger so it's a nice bit of nostalgia. Shipping was quick and the game works perfectly.
