This is an amazing headset but GET EXTENDED WARRANTY
Listen, I bought this headset about 2 years ago and have been using it on a daily basis. I use it for work where I take calls and for gaming. The sound quality is great and the mic is decent. I never had any issues with compatibility. I also used it on my PS4 and PS5. Here is the one thing you should know: This headset is apparently well known for having battery issues. I had a coworker who used it and it stopped charging around the same time as mine did (2 year mark). This could honestly be normal for a charging headset, 2 years is a decent amount of time but my recommendation is to go with the 3 year extended warranty. I am going to be repurchasing this headset with it this time. (Yes, I like it so much I will buy it again). I tried purchasing a different headset, the HyperX Cloud II which is a modern headset but the sound quality and mic quality was not as good and it's much more expensive than this. The HyperX also has a terrible feature where it auto shuts off if no sound is coming in, the Corsair HS70 will only auto shut off if you leave the connection range and it will beep a few times as a warning before it does. My current Corsair HS70 headset does still work it just can't survive unplugged. I did look into changing the battery and in the instructional video I found they pulled out a puffy battery (that is bad) and the replacement did not work until they rewired it. I am pretty tech savvy but I am not an electrician, okay? So yes I could save myself a little bit of money but replacing the battery is a no go for me. But maybe you can do it. :) Pros: -Sound Quality really good (in my opinion) -Mic is decent -Comfortable, can wear for 8+ hours straight and I have sensitive ears -Wireless range is decent -When new the length of battery charge is okay but will slowly decline over time Cons: -Battery will die at about the 2 year mark if you use the headset as often as I do. Around the 1.5 mark it would slowly lose more and more time off charge until now when it finally cannot survive unplugged (but still works). -It is a little heavy on the head which could bother some

Excellent sound and comfort, easy to replace parts
Be had these for a couple weeks now, and they’re amazing. When I wear them it’s usually for a minimum of an hour or two and no discomfort arrises whatsoever. In fact, they are super comfortable to just have on.The noise cancellation and sound quality of the headphones themselves is crisp and clear, with a good level of bass. I also love the built in volume dial. Super handy. The range of volume itself is really good. It can blast your ears on max or it can be whisper quiet. I don’t use the mic, so I can’t comment on it. Love that it’s detachable though UPDATE: Had for 2 and a half years now, and it’s still going strong. The material on the cuffs started withering away a few months ago, which is to be pretty expected, so I got new cuffs. The battery also went down by a couple hours, and I would have to recharge every other day, playing for about 3 or 4 hours a day. I decided on a third party replacement with higher capacity, and it went pretty well. Still sounds and feels good, but the wireless connection doesn’t travel very far, and chops out when I’m in the bathroom, like 10ft away through a closed door

Great headphones, with a few flaws
Overall I'm pretty happy with these headphones. I bought them for working from home and they are very comfortable to wear all day long, and I'm sensitive to wearing headphones for long periods of time. The sound quality is excellent too and my co-workers noticed a big difference in my voice quality when I upgraded to these. I really appreciate that they have their own separate mute button, I do wish it was a switch though just to make sure it's 100% off. I've had situations where I pressed the mute button, then stepped away from my computer and walked a short distance into the kitchen etc, only to test the mute button again and it makes the sound like it was not muted. It's nice that the mic can be removed entirely though. I wish there was a warning beep if you go too far away from your computer and the headphones are about to shut off. A few times I've stepped away and came back to my computer and continued working, only to realize much later that my headphones were off. I love that they are wireless, although another con is the battery life, it went downhill pretty fast. I've owned these for a little over a year and the battery only lasts about 4-5 hours before needing a charge. I usually plug them in when I go to lunch so it works out for now, but if the battery life gets worse it will become annoying to work with them plugged in. My last complaint is that the headphone pads have started to deteriorate and shed their outer layer, which leaves black pieces on my head. Seems like this shouldn't be happening for only 1.25 years in. Despite all that, they are great headphones and I'd probably buy another set when needed.

My favorite pair of headphones for general use
I've got multiple pairs of headphones for different purposes, and over a few months, this pair has become my favorite for daily use. They're comfortable, sound quality is good and microphone quality is also good. I use them for listening to music while I'm working, and they work out of the box in Ubuntu Linux, no need to install any special drivers or configure them differently from any other headset. Having a detachable microphone is also great so that I can pop that on when it's time for a video call. They don't have any kind of noise cancellation, but that's fine, I've got another pair that I use for that when I'm in really noisy environments. They also advertise a battery life of 16 hours, and while I haven't measured it, that feels pretty generous to me -- I would guess I get maybe 10 or 12 hours at a time before charging. Still, that's plenty for even a long day, I just have to remember to plug them in when I'm done. Update: After 9 months of daily use, these are still my go-to headphones when I'm working. I thought I would add an update because I have had small plastic pieces on both sides break off. It looks like they were attached with small plastic pegs that probably broke after repeated strain, although I have been pretty careful with these headphones, and I always put them on a dedicated stand when I'm done with them. It's not really a big deal, a few dots of super glue reattached the plastic bits and everything's fine now, but it is a little disappointing.

Decent Headset, but with flaws
So to start off, I've had this headset for about a little over 2 years. When I first had the headset it was pretty good. The sound quality was nice, it felt good, and it had a decent battery life for a wireless headset. and really for the first year I didn't have any complaints with the headset. After the first year though is where it started to go downhill. The first thing I noticed was that the battery life started to go downhill and hard. The battery started off around 8 hours before needing to be charged, then after the first year it dropped to about 6-7 hours of battery, then maybe a month after that it went to 3-4 hours. then another month after that I couldn't even use it without it being plugged in. (should also mention there is a slight hum in the left ear when the headset is being used while charging) The second main thing I noticed after the first year was that the headset started to get really uncomfortable to wear. The headband part started to press down on my head a lot to the point I would get headaches fairly quickly. My best guess is because there really isn't much clamp force on the ear so the whole weight of the headset is being put on the headband. (and the headset itself has a pretty decent weight to it) Those two things were the main complaints I had with this headset. everything else was pretty good. The sound quality was solid, they were pretty good at cancelling out outside noise, and easy to use with IQUE. I didn't use the mic that came with it so I can't give my opinion about that though. TL;DR This is a decent temporary headset but does have flaws that show up after about a year of use (battery & comfortability). Now would I recommend this headset...no. The wireless battery only last about a year if you use it frequently and for the price point you could probably find other headsets with the same sound quality that would last you longer and have longer lasting comfort.

No gimmicks, just straight headphone
Its simple, the sound quality is great. It has a nice neutral sound with a slight loss of very low end bass. I can game, chat, and listen to music without any issue. Whereas other headsets I tried made the music sound so bad I couldn't stand it. It connects to the PC immediately without any app required. The earhole is big and the cushion is comfortable. The mic is removable which is a nice touch for me since I already have a nice mic on my desk. The design is minimalist which is also personal preference. There's a mute button, power button, and volume slider. Honestly it just does the basics perfectly. Which is wild to say but no other gaming headset (for pc) can seem to get that right. Every other headset is full of gimmicky features and all this noise cancelation crap but when you actually try to use it everything sounds like its running through a tin can on a string. This headset just works and sounds good doing it. Also it gets much louder than the other headsets I've tried. They need to make a v2 for like $80 more and make it have better low bass and charge with usb c. Don't change anything else. I don't want a phone app companion. I don't want bluetooth. I don't want active noise cancelation with an AI that maps my skull. I don't need leds that sync to my fan's leds or my screen. I don't need 35 buttons and a touch pad on the side of my headphones. I don't need a spoiler and two dragons drinking mountain dew on my headphones. Just keep making good straight up headphones.

Buy the extended warranty
6/13/2023 Don't buy these, but if you do, buy the warranty. I've now had three pairs break, two in the exact same way. If you decide to risk it and buy them, just know that they will break and make sure you buy the extended warranty. The latest warranty refund from Asurion was used to buy a different brand. [Original] If these were made with quality components, I'd rate them 5 star, but they are made cheaply and will break. The sound is good, definitely appropriate for, or slightly better, than the price point. They are comfortable to wear and are pretty easy to customize to your liking. The battery love is decent and the detachable microphone is nice if you want to use a standalone mic. Where they fail is that they do not last very long, I've had these for 18 months and have already had two replacements. If they are not being used, they are hung on a desk clip, no heavy handling or anything that would increase the likelihood of breaking. The first issue was that one ear cup snapped off. The second issue was they stopped charging and wouldn't hold the charging cable in place. There was another issue where the side covers just above the ear cup fell off, but I didn't claim on that. The first issue was covered under the extended warranty purchased via Amazon. It was super easy to claim and got an immediate gift card for the full purchase price. I used that to buy the same set, which turned out to be a mistake. The second issue was covered under the Corsair warranty and took weeks to finalize and get a new pair sent. When they are not broken, they are worth the money. However, given the durability issues they have, I wouldn't recommend them. If you do decide to buy them, definitely but the extended warranty because you'll need it.

Good enough for the price point
Good for the price point i have a big head so clamping force is a little on the heavy side .For medium and smaller heads it would be perfect. If i lean forward it slides of my head. But stays fixed when i turn side to side .I find the volume may not be loud enough .Bass is muddy ,but the highs are nice and clear good for fps games .Battery life is 10 to 15 hours depending on the constant volume level .So average at best. Microphone is clear, i use teamspeak 3 and everyone says i sound good .Software is basic 7.1 sorround sound that is nothing special. Medal head band with minimal padding so far so good not complaining for the price point .This is probably your best deal for what you are spending. If you want best of the best wireless gaming headset go Audeze Mobius, Sennheiser EPOS 370 or 670,Audio-Technica ATH-G1WL Premium Wireless Gaming Headset all are $300+ Canadian. Wired is still the best .I only use the wireless for competitive teamplay when i do not want to miss a thing when i leave my computer.

My daughter loves her Corsair HS70 unit
Bought this item for my daughter’s birthday. She told me that it’s quite comfortable and likes that its cordless. Sound quality is very good and sound during games or calls are very clear. She also like that she’s able to take out the mic while watching movies or videos.
