Q: will these work adquately in 1" Dog holes? (Sojberg workbench)

I find that they do not wrk well at all with my 3/4” holes, so I suspect they would be worse with 1”. I would not recommend them, they pop out constantly

Q: WIll they work in a plastic workbench, depth about 1 1/8" (such as the DeWalt folding workbench)?

I do not know. I’m not real happy with these cast hold downs. They need some spring to them and cast just doesn’t have it. With plastic it might actually work better.
