its a ring, fairly hard rubber. not much to say.

Perfect Fit
Was having a lot of trouble engaging the portafilter on my Gaggia Classic Pro with the original 8.5mm gasket. Needed to take group head apart every 3-4 days and it was getting really tiresome. Switched to this 8.0mm gasket which fit petfectly and now I can easily get the portafilter to the 6 o'clock position and without any leakage. Now I'm drinking too much espresso!!

Just did not fit at all.
Fit, loose. Ability to get portafilter in, not at all. Just didn’t work at all. Seems too thick.

Perfect filter for E61
I used this with an Expobar leaver espresso machine. Even though the machine calls for an 8.5mm. The portafilter still does not go to 6 o'clock. it is close to 5 o'clock, the same as the original that came with machine. It was shipped quickly and very reasonable price.
