Why didn't I know about these sooner?
I began taking formal drawing classes this fall and kneaded erasers were on the recommended supply list. These were a God-send - but made me question: where were these when I was growing up? These are gentle but phenomenonally efficient erasers. Need to add some "lights" carefully by removing some charcoal or graphite? Tear a small piece off, and rub/tap gently and - voila! Want to start over from scratch? Instead of using a whole new piece of sketch, these will do the trick without ripping a whole in the paper (assuming it is quality paper - something heavier than newsprint).

You knead this.
It is a classic kneaded eraser so there isn’t much to say. It works very well when you need to lighten sketch lines before coloring. It works great so if you are in the market this is a great choice.

Pretty interesting.
I never used this type of eraser. It is great when you draw with what I call a light hand. It is not good with drafting work, it tries but just doesn't get it done. I would take a 1/2 star of for that but can't with this system. Does not require a full star deduction because you just need to know what this works with. It is a matter of you knowing the product not the product not working. Those artist out there should know what I mean when I say light handed. It is when you hold the pencil under the hand and not like you are writing. So you tend to not press as hard and the pencil floats on the paper as you draw. You can also use this eraser very well if you have a light hand when you use the normal grip if you draw very lightly with the eraser doing a great job without anything let where you did not want it. It is also really fun like silly putty in a way. You can kneed the eraser into any shape you need to to erase what you want. I was amazed when I rolled a tip so it almost had a pencil type tip to erase very fine areas.

Good eraser
Works well, but is small.

Would never be without one of these erasers!
Beast erasers out there! These erasers tear apart into many smaller erasers, if you like. They are malleable into any shape, leave no eraser crumbles, and the graphite disappears into the eraser as you "knead" it. It's good to order the biggest one because you pull them apart into smaller ones anyway, so don't waste your money on a small one! These erasers are great for lightening up shading and for shaping them into a tiny point and getting in to erase fine details. As a bonus my grandkids (5 & 7) love them! They will use these over any fancy eraser any day!

Cool
It was ok. I thought it'd erase better. I like how it's very mushable. I wouldn't buy it again but it's a cool eraser.

Great Erasers
I've been using these for years - they don't seem to be as large as they used to be - but they work great - for erasing with no mess, for blending pencil, pastels ... they do what they are supposed to do, and the quality hasn't changed. I like the fact that there is no mess, that you can knead them and use them to erase over and over without mess or knead them in a way to get them to blend certain mediums, exactly like you want.

Great product, made the same way for decades.
For many art and hobby uses, a kneaded eraser is indispensable. The Prismacolor eraser is just the same as when I was in art and graphic design school 40 years ago -- nice to see that something that works so well hasn't been changed.
