A special buy, for that special plant, granddad's last rose, a grandchild's first garden plants etc. The slate is thick and a large width, enough to write on both sides or if you are artistic, draw bee hotel sign, wildflower garden. Chalk comes with the pack, but you can get multi coloured sets of pens of every thicknesses for beautiful writers or artistic, from amazon. Once I'd worked out to slide from bottom of stake it was a classic look. You could even use wire and string these up, draw on them or add poetry lines as mini artwork, or garden signs, so many, many uses. Because the slate is such high quality even my rubbish writing/ drawing looks amazing. Thick, sturdy a great buy for that something special, be it a plant or memory of something special. Enjoy. 2 year warranty with these, but they should last a lifetime.

If, like me, you plants things in the garden & forget what the plant is called a few weeks later, these are for you! They are so cute too! I have used a Posca Uni Permanent White pen on them. I have used it before on labels that are constantly being washed so hopefully it will last in the garden. I put the plant name, month & year planted & info on the back such as 'Evergreen', 'Prune in Spring' to help me as I am starting from a bare garden & it's easy to lose track. They are a bit expensive but hopefully they will give me years of use so will be worth it in the end. They are very well packed so everything arrived in perfect condition. I will definitely be buying more as I get more plants!

Excellent quality and substantial - photos don't do this set justice. I purchased to use to label a few plants growing on the boundaries of my property, and have added small reflective tabs, in an attempt to stop vehicles from thinking they are simply 'weeds' and cutting across verges, etc. So far it has worked! Also informs inquisitive passers-by of the varieties planted... an often asked question. I would buy again - and next time add 'chalk pen' markers, for precision lettering of plant names. In all, very good value and would also make a great 'gift' item.

Very attractive tree name markers, good size. the soapstone marker which comes with them not very effective, better to get a white permenant multi-surface marker to write on them

Wonderful plant markers, really pleased and so much better than plastic. Arrive securely packed and the stylus (comes supplied with 2) works well for writing without being crumbly like chalk. The slate labels are quite sturdy and attactively 'rough around the edges' and the curled skewer is easy to use and lets the label 'dangle free' amongst the foliage. Just thread the slate label up through the bottom of the skewer and flip it up over the pre-curled top then plant it where you want it. If you write the labels before putting the pay attention to to which way you thread them on the label to ensure they face the right way once on (or just write on them afterward!) The labels are a good size and the height works well to allow the labels to nestle discreetly among flowers and foliage, allowing them to be visible without distracting from the plant. They work particularly well where plants are more established and grown in and where the little stick in 'stake type' labels would be lost or invisible or hidden under the base of the leaves. Really pleased I bought them and would certainly recommend them to others.

Used these about 3 weeks ago after planting my veggie seeds, the writing it still on the slate. Looks great in the garden and really impressed.

these are a little cumbersome-but are still the best labels i have come across yet. they are very robust and clear. i live in a sheltered scheme and have been growing herbs for tenants-all other labels eventually blow away or get lost in the foilage. these sticks are quite long.

Well protected in package during delivery. Answered my question promptly. Easy to write on and doesn’t wash off after rain so far. As long as you write on it twice, it will be clear. Was told to wash with hot water and soap, although I haven’t had to yet. Hook allows adjustable heights if you want to show off the slate or to be more discrete as needed. Love them!

Je cherchais des étiquettes pas en plastique pour identifier les plantes de potagers sur pieds. Celles-ci sont sympas, pratiques et plutôt jolies. L’ensemble est complet ( petites ardoises, supports et crayons craie) et utilisable immédiatement. J’aime l’idée qu’on puisse les effacer pour les utiliser à sa guise. La personne à qui je les destinais est ravi!

Arrived in perfect shape, well packaged. Look great and gives you the ability to choose and write your own labels for them as they aren't pre-written. Should have ordered a 2nd set! Tall enough to be seen, not hidden by being only a couple inches from the ground.
