Appreciated by a nit-picky rail hobbyist
Been a train fan and modeler over 60 years. This book gives me the details I really want to know about refrigerator cars, how they are run in trains, loaded, serviced, schedules, ,operation, industries. The stuff I really want to know.

This is an excellent read, American history known only by those who love rails and farming. Superb photos throughout. So much of our perishable food was shipped via the railroads, lots of innovation. A must read for those into this theme.

Excellent resource with more than basic information on history of the north american railroads refrigerated boxcar. Great photos, and covers up to 2019. Just what I was looking for on this subject

Big help for building a 50s-60s era layout!
This book is a great source for planning loading docks and storage facilities for transition-era layouts, and showing the types of cargo trucks that were used then.
