I want to paint some awful Upholstry in my camper, will this work and how dark is the asphalt?

This paint works really works well on fabric so it should look good on your upholstry. However, you must be aware that you have to iron the fabric afterwards to set the colors. The color on the can is exactly how the color will be,so the asphalt color will be very dark. I love this fabric paint because the colors are vibrant. Hope this answered your question.
