I purchased this belt on the recommendation of a friend who swore that this was, in fact, the best running belt ever. EVER (she really did yell that part). Well, I am happy to report that she was correct. I ordered this in a size medium based on the chart because I fell somewhere in the middle of that and a small. I probably should have gone for the small, but no big deal. I actually just put one safety pin on each side, at the hip, and I'm totally good to go. I run anywhere from 6 to 20 miles on a given day and I have never lost anything, it is always comfortable, and stays where I put it. I wish I could say that about every single pair of stupidly expensive running tights I own, or the pinnies that always go places they aren't supposed to. I have had other running belts before and frankly, they end-up around my rib cage after less than a mile. Those are in a box in my closet. They are not the best running belt ever. I am known in my circle of friends for always carrying a small Nana purse that somehow has every single thing they could ever need inside of it. My purse is a little bit of a TARDIS probably. Need gum? I have gum. Need Pepto Bismol? I have that. Need dental floss, a Tide stick, sewing kit, a snack, or a hair elastic? I'm your girl. This belt is totally the Nana bag of running belts. I usually pack it with my iPhone (worn in the small of my back), my inhaler, 4-5 gels, my car and/or house key, Kleenex, dollars, and a thing of mace. All of this stuff fits, and nothing has ever fallen out. I choose not to flip the belt because well, bears. There are a lot of bears where I run and I really don't want to be messing with flipping my belt when I'm trying to look for mace and mostly not die from a bear mauling. Thankfully, I do know what to do in case of bears, and I have not ever been mauled by one, but I have lots of pictures taken with my easily accessible iPhone. Speaking of phones, my husband is always getting after me to bring my phone on long runs. This is something I didn't love doing because CHAFING. When that thing is strapped to my arm on a hot day I'm lucky if there's any skin left. There's not enough Body Glide in the universe when you have a gigantic iPhone strapped to your bicep, it's 80% humidity, and 86 degrees. FlipBelt=no skinless biceps, and a happy husband. Bottom line, this is a good product that does what it says it does. It fits well under clothing, it functions correctly, it carries lots and lots of items, and it does not end up around your rib cage or in places that it shouldn't be. Buy one!

I am a very small lady. 4'11 to be exact, and weighing in at 105lbs. I am also a product junkie. I have and will try every kind of running gadget they have. I think I enjoy getting a new running toy, as much if not more than running itself. I purchased a small on because I would rather wear it would my hips vs, my stomach. It gets very hot in the Midwest, and I did not want to risk it rubbing around. I usually wear it around my hips over my shorts. After the whole back story this is my review. Pro: It fits a TON of stuff. I carry epi pen ( sometimes I stop and eat at my local pub, and don't want to die). inhaler, keys and my Samsung Galaxy s4 phone with an Otter Box. Then some GU. ( if you don't know what GU is I suggest you look it up right now) I normally take off the outer shell off and just left with the hard plastic body. I love that my phone fits into Flipbelt, because I hated wearing the armband. That totally sucks, when it is hot, or starts to cut off circulation from your arm because it is too tight. I can never find an armband that fits because I have such small twiggy arms. You can of course FLIP it so everything is secure and does not fall out. The belt itself has 4 opening so everything can fit around the frame. It comes with a cool little clip inside for your keys. I suggest EVERYONE use it when carrying keys. I did not, and guess what.. I lost them. I was lucky and found them after 45 min, but after a long run, that is the last thing you want to do. It is bigger than it looks, TRUST ME. I was very skeptical when I bought it, I thought nope no way is all my junk going to fit into that tiny little thing. It does.. it really does, with room to spare. Color choices are AWESOME !! Cons: They do run small. I almost ordered an x-small only because of the size of my frame, but decided not to. I am so glad I ordered a small. The belt does not have compartments, and when you put stuff in sometimes things get bunched up together. When you fit everything inside the belt and then put on a compression shirt on it looks like you have a really messed up muffin top, where the fat won't move around. Cleaning : I always ALWAYS hand wash this and let it air dry. I do this about every three or four runs, or if it is extremely hot I do it as soon as I get home. I have had it about 3 months and it does not smell funky yet, so it must be working. Overall: I would ABSOLUTELY buy this again, and recommend this to all of my running friends. I actually would like another one in a super fun bright color. I have received so many compliments on this because people I know still have fanny packs, little clippy belts, arm bands or something that looks like it is from the 1980's.. all yucky. Not to mention all those things are sweat collectors in the summer, and no one and I repeat NO ONE likes to be chaffing in the summer. . This is made of breathable materials and a dream.

I've only used this for a few runs, but it doesn't slip, it holds my phone with or without my wallet on the back, it isn't adjustable but comes in several sizes. I hardly notice I'm wearing it on the run. I love that I don't have to hold my phone in my hand anymore or try and find a place in the stroller that my kids won't kick it off. The color is pretty consistent to the picture. It also has a way to hook your key so you don't lose it even if it slipped out of your pocket. I like this better than one that straps to your arm to hold your phone. It doesn't slide and it's overall comfortable. I think it's a good quality and I like the style. I would buy again.

I love this. It has no moving parts - no zippers to break, no web belts to adjust, no Velcro. It simply slips onto your waist or hips and gives you storage space for phones, keys, and other small items. There’s even an 11 ounce flask available that fits perfectly in this belt. While you’re running you hardly notice it’s there. Perfect solution for my needs.

I have three of these belts, each one a different size (sm, med & lrg). This specific order is for a medium, i am currently running with a large and there is too much bounce. I am 5'7" and 143ish lbs. The large sits on my waist fine with just a phone in there but if i add my waterbottle it moves around too much. The small "fits" my waist, but adding anything is too uncomfortable. I really like this belt if im doing shorter runs where i dont have to carry a bunch of extra stuff. I like to only carry my phone, key & a small water bottle. So this is perfect. There is a small loop snap for attaching keys. The pocket holes are a good size i can easily slide in the flip belt water bottle. I also have a S26 ultra in an otter case that will fit into the pocket, but its a tight squeeze. If youre new to this style belt, you cannot adjust the size (which is why ive ended up with 3), but they do have some stretch. Ive been using them for years and ive never had an issue with the quality, never had the pocket openings tear or broken the key ring attachment. I really like this style running belt.

I recently saw this product on after having searched for an iPhone running case. It wasn’t exactly what I was thinking at the time, but as it turns out, it’s even better! After I read more about it, I searched to see if they had their own website, which they did. I then looked around their website to see if they had opportunities to test or review their product, which they did. In exchange for providing me with a FlipBelt of my very own, I agreed to write this review for Level Terrain Apparel. Let me start out by saying that while I was provided with the complimentary FlipBelt, it has no bearing on how I feel about the product itself. I do not possess the standard “runner look.” I do not (and cannot) tuck clothes in. BIG runs in my family, it’s a genetic thing (thanks Mom and Dad). I’m an “up and down” dieter/runner who sometimes – or mostly - eats more than she runs. Therefore, the very last thing in the world I would want to wear while I’m out there running events with professional photographers taking action shots would be something gathering around my waist screaming “look here, look here”. Those waist packs, sport belts, athletic pouches or whatever you might call them - fanny bags – those are like swear words in my book. I would prefer to stick pins in my nice tech shirts rather than wear a simple bib holder for the mere fact that it cinches around that area. When this FlipBelt arrived, the first thing I noticed is that it looks just like the top of my favorite yoga pants – a nice, thick 3-inch band. It’s not a pouch that attaches to a belt; basically the whole thing IS a pouch. There are no zippers, buttons, buckles, nothing. You either put it over your head, or you step into it and adjust it to your waist or your hips, whichever is your preference. It has four little slits in it where you can insert your “stuff” to be carried. And according to the packaging the fabric is: “Wicking, Quick Dry Content: 92% Polyester and 8% Spandex.” I ordered black so that it would blend, but the belt does come in some fabulous colors such as yellow, aqua, pink, orange, green, blue, carbon, purple and maybe some day when I’m thin again, I’ll get the beautiful hot pink or aqua one….. maybe anyway. I ordered a Large, which, according to the package is for a women’s size 10-12, and it fit perfectly. Everything I read claimed that the belt didn’t bounce or move, and while this sounded fabulous, I just couldn’t believe it. Now that I’ve worn the product for a half marathon, let me be yet another person to tell you – THIS THING DOES NOT BOUNCE AND DOES NOT MOVE. You put it on, and that’s where it stays. For most of the event, it rained/drizzled/sprinkled, so the FlipBelt was damp. It doesn’t claim to be waterproof but my iPhone did stay dry, so I was happy with that. I actually talked to someone who has owned one for six months and she told me that the belt has not stretched out at all and is still as snug as mine is brand new. That’s a great piece of information to know because I did wonder how it would hold up. The photo on the left is a professional photo taken at half marathon. Note how the storage belt I was wearing helped make it look like I have a big ole "beer gut" because it's cinched around my waist so tight to keep it from bouncing around. You will never see that other storage belt on me again now since (1) I've seen the photos from that event and (2) I now own the FlipBelt. The photo on the right is from the race last weekend and I know you have to agree how much better it looks! The best part about the FlipBelt for me is the fact that it does not bulk you up around the waist. I don’t even think you can see it, which makes me happy.

I honestly expected this to be a gimmick and figured I’d probably hate it. Turns out, I was completely wrong. As a newer runner my runs are short, typically around 5k, so I don’t need to carry gels, water, or whatever you would carry in a running vest. I just wanted something small and simple to hold my phone and car key and this was exactly that. It’s comfortable, stays in place, and doesn’t bounce around while running. Super convenient. WAY better than expected. Definitely recommend if you want a minimal way to carry essentials on shorter runs. My waist is a 28, I considered a size Medium but opted for a small after reading reviews. Perfect fit.

EDIT: after a few months of use, I'm dropping my rating to 3 stars. Honestly this just isn't worth the money at all, and I'd recommend any cheap, adjustable belt with a zipper over this. Even two of those (which is how I often run) is better than this. I *really* wanted to like the FlipBelt. But the water bottles constantly fall out, the phone fits weird, my KEYS fell off of the (very poor-quality) plastic key clip (I'm really grateful I heard them hit the ground). And honestly you just can't adjust this thing...and there are no zippers, it's not waterproof...I don't really know what else to say. The concept is great, especially with the form-fitting bottles, but it doesn't deliver. My runs are so much better with just a cheap belt or two instead of this. The only way I can see this being the belt for you is if you absolutely must have 20+ ounces of water on your waist and don't need to carry phone/keys. Original review: I decided to write a comprehensive review for the FlipBelt, as I agonized and spent tons of time researching and trying other products before pulling the trigger here. Others may find my experience helpful. I have used the belt for three runs now--one 3mi, one 2.5mi, and one 6.5mi, in that order (I don't normally carry water on the shorter ones, and I don't need 11oz on the 6.5, but I carried it just for testing purposes). In my picture you'll see the FlipBelt with bottle on the left, and the other belts I talk about in my review on the right. My final thought (putting first so you don't have to read everything): while it's not perfect, no belt is in my experience. I give this five stars because it allows me to carry more water comfortably on a longer run, which is what's most important in my book and the reason I made this investment in the first place. On its own, without the special water bottle, this belt is not only too expensive, but I find it actually less functional than my other, cheaper, basic belts. If you need to carry many, many things while running, then maybe you'd feel differently. To the review: I have experience using two cheap, adjustable, single-pocket running belts prior to buying the FlipBelt, and I’m going to review here while sort of comparing to my experience(s) with those (see picture for what I’m comparing). Those belts were each 10 bucks and could carry a phone and a key *or* a very small, 6oz water bottle. If I all I need is my phone and a key, I take my favorite cheap belt. If I need to add 6oz water to a run, I add the second belt, and I keep the phone on one hip and the bottle on the other. I can also slip a granola bar or whatever in one of these belts no problem. That system works for me. Neither of those cheap options could do more than that in my experience. I tried a standard (16.9oz) bottle in the one that could even fit that, and no matter where I placed it on my hip or back, the bottle would bounce WAY too much. And I didn’t really have an option for something in between, but I suspect the same would be true if I tried. 6oz is really the max there in my experience. The factors that are important to me that I’ll be talking about: 1) fit, 2) feel, 3) water-holding capacity, 4) other notes. Here goes: 1) Fit So, I *don’t* love that the FlipBelt isn’t adjustable. I realize that the design negates that possibility. But my waist size can fluctuate depending on time of year and/or what I’m doing fitness-wise, and I am always messing around with size on my other adjustable belts. Just feels better to me when I can dial in the size whenever I want. With the FlipBelt, if I need another size, I need to buy ANOTHER belt and hope it works. I wear pants with a 36in waist, and I bought the large (32”-35”) here, and I’m glad I did. Fits snugly. Still feels less comfortable than my other belts (a little bulky, a little tight-feeling), but it works. 2) Feel I *need* my phone to be in a certain place on one hip, and I *need* my water so be in a certain place on my other hip in order to run comfortably. It’s a delicate balance for me, and it distracts and bothers me if the balance feels off. I appreciate in my other, two-belt system that I can get that perfect every time. The FlipBelt allows that—sort of. I have found so far that I spend the first ½-1 mile in a constant state of adjustment, trying to get the feel just right, moving the bottle and/or phone around the best I can until the balance feels right. It’s not a huge problem, but something I have to dial in as I go. On my first run, the water bottle (which I had to buy separately for another $10) actually fell out of the belt twice within the first mile. I’ve since learned how to get it stuck in there just-so, and it hasn’t happened since, but the fact that it happened at all shows me that the open-entry-point design does leave that possibility of things falling out, where a zipper-design would not. For me, putting the water bottle at the small of the back does NOT work. It was bouncy and unworkable. This could be a function of my waist size vs. the belt size, or just my body type, but it’s something to be aware of. If you and your body can make it work, I can say that this position is the most comfortable feeling while at rest and I kinda dream about it working someday for me. Just doesn’t work while running for me. On my hip, it’s totally fine, snug to my body, and no bounce. For me, that’s remarkable for 11oz of water. And the phone: it’s fine…my case (just a standard plastic/rubbery protective case) creates friction, which is probably a good thing for keeping it from falling out, but it makes it not super easy to get it in and out if I need to do that mid-run. My other cheap belt is easy, I just unzip and pull it out. This takes effort and logistical trickery, which I don’t love while trying to focus on the road, but it’s not a dealbreaker or anything. By the way, it’s an iPhone 7, nothing special. If I had a huge phone, this could be problematic. 3) Water-holding capacity This is why I bought the Flip-Belt, and it is really the ONLY function I truly like and prefer to other belts (but probably the MOST important). I wanted to be able to carry more water and still feel comfortable. I don’t like running with a hydration pack (for me, it’s fine for hiking, but I don’t like running that way), and I need that function in a belt. The bottle design is fantastic for the small of the back (which doesn’t work for me, but that may just be me). It’s fine for the hip. Not perfect (could use more curve for me), but 1000x better than any other water bottle. It slides in and out with ease. The cap opens and closes a little tough, but that’s actually probably good in that it won’t randomly open and leak water all over me. I like the bottle, I like that I can carry 11oz of water and still feel comfortable. 4) Other notes The little key clip thing is necessary in this belt, and I’m glad it has it. Otherwise, my key would go flying into a ditch because of the open entry points. It’s not water-resistant and soaks up moisture. Just a lot of fabric here. My other belts are mostly a utilitarian elastic strap with one pocket, and I have rarely (ever?) felt the need to wash them. This thing already needs a good wash. Cost: it’s an investment. Whatever. In the end, probably worth it if you need to carry more than 6oz water and you have at least one long run per week. Looks: it’s a cool-looking belt. Sleek and stylish. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, but it was nearly $40 for the belt and water. I would NOT appreciate this belt without the water bottle. You can just get the same or actually better function elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. But the water option was important to me, and this really does do the trick.

Good quality product. Though I had some product related issue like figuring the size. So I went for precise size. Now belt suits snugly on my waist and I think : maybe I should have taken 1 size up...

Don't notice you are wearing it! I bought this for running so that I could carry my items like my keys and mobile phone (I use a running App to monitor distance, pace, time etc but don't get on with the arm bands!). This stayed in place perfectly and I genuinely forgot I was wearing it. I have an iphone 5s and this fits comfortably with still plenty of space and a bulky set of car and house keys and despite the little bit of weight I felt no movement! I was unsure about sizing due to other reviews but I am petite with a 26inch waist so went for the XS and it was true to size. I think the S would have been to big and may have moved a little however I would say this would be fine for a size 8-10. Great product!
