Lifesaver conditioner!
Best conditioner I’ve ever used! Makes my 2A waves feel so soft and hydrated and the fact that it hydrates my scalp too is a bonus!

"Expensive" but Well Worth the Results
I say "expensive" because there are a ton of anti-dandruff products out there for way more and way less. You can go into any store and get a big bottle of something for $5. But a lot of those products have pyrithione zinc which may work for some but gives me patchy flakes within a day of use. I don't know if it's shedding the whole head before it works it magic or something but I honestly do not have the time or patience to test that out. It'd be akin to using a product that makes your face covered in acne before it starts clearing up--really? So for all I know so far, using this tea tree oil based conditioner fixes the problems within a day or two. I still have flakes but they're not patching and I can actually run through my hair without much concern. Yeah, something may fall out but that's part of life. My hair feels soft, there isn't a ton of residue or slickness left over, and you don't need a lot. I put on a bit more to start off with but ideally those with dandruff or dry scalp shouldn't be washing away their natural hair oils daily. I gladly pay the higher price for piece of mind. Others may find a different remedy works out well. This is not a flaw of a well-made product. It's not superficial to be afraid of dandruff flakes, they get everywhere and try being in public and coworkers shedding those white patches all around. Small price to pay for a pretty good boost of confidence assuming it works for you. Jack Black offers a 3 oz trial size online on their direct website. Try it out even if it costs some money for shipping (or just splurge on this and give it to someone else, it's an universal conditioner so most should be ok with it). I've bought so many other random hair care things that finally sticking to one consistent thing feels great. Update April 2025: I've been using this product on and off the last few years, most recently back on to supplement an anti-dandruff 2-in-1. That one alone caused my hair to produce excess oil and stink up so I wash using it first then with the Jack Black thickening shampoo + conditioner. I also bought the leave-in hair balm for times I don't want to double-wash. Seems to be a working setup even with longer hair that seems to flare up more than short. The manufacturer's direct website has a combo deal for the shampoo + conditioner + usable comb. Since my original review, they look to have phased out smaller trial sizes. I'm not so discerning with shampoos but I definitely take this conditioner on trips in case something triggers.

The Best conditioner for fine and thin hair
Alhamdullah (Praise be to God) I have found a conditioner that works so beautifully for my hair type. I am in my early twenties with very fine, thin, and straight hair. I struggled to find something that was moisturizing but not heavy. This is deeply moisturizing for my thin hair without weighing it down at all. I would not recommend this to someone who has thick hair unless they are willing to take a chance to see if it works for them. The smell from the bottle is faintly like tea tree oil, but after you wash it out, it barely smells like anything. I would say it has a nice smell, it is not unpleasant in any way. BEWARE the conditioner is slippery! The shower floor could become slippery, so take extra care if you have small children or elderly in the home. Something I really liked about this bottle is that it has a seal so you know that no one has used it before. You don't need to use a lot, a little goes a long way.

Secret Solutions for Snap-on Cap
Pricey, but seems to be a good conditioner. I've used it for several years. But have encountered two mechanical issues with its packaging. Maybe you're adept and perceptive, so you can solve them immediately. But if you're more like me, stumbling through life in a fog shot through with little flares of irritation, perhaps this long, insanely detailed nattery may help: 1) On first use, you flip open the black cap and try to squeeze some conditioner out of its tube: nope. You've got to unscrew the whole snap cap and take it off, to see that there's a little silver sticker over the small opening at the interior top of the tube. The sticker has a little tab. Use it to pull off the silver sticker, and screw the black cap back on. Now you're good to go ... 2) ... Until you've finished with the conditioner, and you try to snap the black cap back on. This is usually easy with most tubes you get. But several times over the last few years, I've bought a tube with a cap that just won't snap. So you can't store the tube in its designed cap-down position, but have to keep it upright, with the cap slightly ajar — and obviously more prone to leaks. Today, after the usual cursing attempts to wrestle a new tube with wet hands and failing to hear that satisfying snap, I dried off and spent 5 minutes studying the fricking engineering here. And finally solved the mystery. Some of these caps just won't close, no matter how hard you push down on the edge of the cap right over the thumb indent. So instead, push down in the CENTER of the cap, or even a little more back toward the hinge. Success! I expect to hear from the Nobel committee any day now.

The Perfect Partner: Jack Black Nourishing Hair & Scalp Conditioner
After having such an amazing experience with the Jack Black True Volume Thickening Shampoo, I knew I had to try the matching conditioner. And let me tell you, it does not disappoint! Paired with the shampoo, this conditioner takes my hair care routine to a whole new level. The scent is just as incredible as the shampoo, with a refreshing blend of tea tree and basil. But it's not just about the smell. This conditioner leaves my hair feeling incredibly soft, smooth, and healthy. It also continues to combat my dandruff issues, leaving my scalp feeling soothed and flake-free. Overall: If you're using the Jack Black True Volume Thickening Shampoo, you absolutely need to add this conditioner to your routine. It's the perfect complement, providing deep nourishment, amazing scent, and lasting dandruff control. Together, they've transformed my hair and scalp!

Entirely replaced my use of shampoo with JB
My scalp tends towards the drier side, I wanted something that would not suck the precious oils out of my scalp with a daily shower and this seems to do the trick. I have been using it alone for a month or two and nothing else. In other words, no shampoo and it has not been an issue. I even like the smell which does not seem to linger with the hair, otherwise, the sensitive nose of my girlfriend would have been an occasion for a remark. Never have I even applied a non-scented hand lotion that she can't immediately smell. So if she does smell my hair at all, it is apparently not an unpleasant smell. My guess is that it really does not leave a detectable order, at least for a human nose. For my own sensibilities, I rather like the smell when using it and would consider it a plus if it lingered a little longer. It does not lather up like a standard strength shampoo and in that regard, not surprisingly, acts like a conditioner. Perhaps that means it requires a little more than you would squeeze out if it was shampoo. But I figure if I used, in addition, a shampoo it would somewhat defeat the purpose, even if this Jack Black product was applied afterwards. I thought I would try to not use shampoo and use this as if it were shampoo and so far, it seems to be working just fine. At least so far people in town are not crossing the street to avoid me. As to the effective ability to "condition" hair, I will leave that to someone who actually has hair, compared to my sparse balding noggin.

Great product!
I have long, curly hair. I used to use Dove Men products, which always made my hair feel extremely dry and greasy by the end of the day. I've switched to the Jack Black shampoo and conditioner, and my hair feels so much healthier. I can go a day without washing it, and it still feels clean and hydrated!

Not worth the money
The product doesn’t match the description. It has a good smell but doesn’t have any affect on hair.

Fantastic conditioner for scalp care
I absolutely love this conditioner. I have scalp psoriasis that I used to have to get prescription topical medications for, but since using this conditioner, I've completely stopped using the prescriptions. Not only that, but this leaves my already-soft hair so so soft and manageable. The mint creates a very soothing/cooling effect on the scalp that I also love. I've gotten my boyfriend hooked on this as well and he's noticed improvement in his dandruff. I can't say enough good things about this conditioner. LOVE.

A little goes a long way
A small amount goes a long way. Nice subtly minty smell and feel. I bought this to help with my itchy scalp and I find it helps quite well used each time I shampoo, better than other shampoos or conditioners I’ve tried.
