How does the quality of this version compare to the vintage red travel edition from the 80s with the bigger red lid with “Trouble” inscribed on it?

It’s nothing like the original except for the game concept. These pieces are teeny tiny and so easy to lose. The board folds up and is thin. Very cheaply made overall

Are we doing something wrong? We aren't able to push down in the popper to roll the dice.. does not move at all!!

It is Mini in size but am able to use the popper, although clearly not as robust as a full-size version.
