Allergic to the sun and Trully impressed!
I live in Florida and I have Photodermatitus. So I am LITERALLY ALLERGIC TO THE SUN in the SUNSHINE STATE! Trust me when I say this Umbrella has taken some die hard abuse and survived! I take it everywhere and sometimes open and close it dozens of times a day. I am positive I've used it hundreds, if not thousands of times in the last 3 years since I bought it. And I've stuffed it in bags, in the car at my feet, on my work lunchbox, in backpacks, you name it, and even as it has worn it has still worked. I showed pictures of it now after all my abuse because I wanted to show how even with the holes now in the top, when open it still has pretty awesome coverage because of the double canopy. Like any umbrella in strong wind if you face the wrong way it may flip but in all my time with it that only happened once. I will say the Velcro to close the umbrella frayed over time so closing it can be a pain but that was expected since I use it constantly. The auto open and close button however is just fine still. The umbrella is also noticeably cooler underneath on a hot day. And I've used it in the rain just fine. A little small for Florida's sideways rain but my primary need was for sunlight anyway. Expect it to be a little heavier then your average umbrella because of it's durable protective material but I wouldn't give it up! I even use it in the theme parks! All in all I highly recommend this Umbrella and I'm sticking with this brand for my medical needs. I already bought the 62in for heavy rain days and have no regrets. If you have sensitive skin or a condition, do yourself a favor and get one of these!

Bought this for summer in Florida.
One of my favorite sun protection products. The umbrella is a bit heavier. I have had no issues w breezes, although a gust did flip the umbrella but there was no damage and you just had to turn it upright again. The umbrella does fold back into case, you just need to be mindful of the folds going in the same direction when strapping it. It’s really not that difficult. The umbrella pops open quite easily, press the button again and the umbrella does a quick half collapse of the spines…it does take a bit of strength to push the umbrella pole back into itself. The only thing that is a negative is that unless you push it back in fully reclined, you cannot just pop it open again. So there is a LOT of popping open, collapsing and pushing the pole back in itself when going in and out of stores. I wish I could just do a quick half close and then reopen. But it doesn’t do that. Took it to Florida. The silver fabric was fantastic for bouncing the heat off and keeping me cool. Most ppl were fine, a few ppl were looking at me weird, but I didn’t care, bc I was not over heating the way they were. It protected my skin too. The navy liner did not bounce light around on me underneath the umbrella. The temperatures were brutal at 98*F and super humid. This umbrella kept me sane when walking around as well as protecting my skin, but you still have to wear sunscreen to protect from UV from reflecting off of surfaces like concrete. I highly recommend for warm weather where you don't want to be cloaked in heat trapping clothing.

High UV protection and impressive heat reduction for an umbrella.
OK, so this Umbrella prevented my wife from getting migraines in the Southern Peru climate. She used to live in Arequipa where the UV index is horrendous, but extended life in USA has her now sensitive to the sun at that altitude. This dropped the temperature by 2 to 3 degrees and kept the UV at bay. The only issue is it is very difficult for some women to close, that's why 4 stars. Also the height could be a bit taller for walking down congested South American cities. Regardless, she loves it. Wonder if you could conceal your thermal signature with it?

Great multi purpose umbrella
I am currently using this umbrella on a Disney vacation. It does an amazing job of keeping the sun off your upper half. The difference in the temperature is definitely noticeable! Then when the daily rainstorm hits, I am all set. It is plenty large enough for one person, two if you really like each other. The wind was moving pretty good during one rain storm. It held up very well. It turned inside out once. But, was easy enough to flip back. It didn't break. It is heavier than a regular umbrella. But, you should expect that with the protective coating on it. WORTH IT!

Great umbrella for blocking the sun
Does the job of reducing my sun exposure

EXCELLENT UV PROTECTION IF YOU USE IT PROPERLY / NOT AS STURDY AS DESCRIBED
reflects and blocks sunlight but like all umbrellas that claim to not fold in wind, it does in fact fold in light breezes. an umbrella is only as good as the length of time it functions and works as intended so this might take a few months or a year to find out if it is indeed well made. UPDATE: It's definitely not wind-proof. Will fold backwards even in a slight breeze so you need to angle and support it appropriately. As far as UV protection, it seems to block all the sunlight because of its reflective silver coating and the black coating underneath that. You need to adjust the umbrella in your hand to effectively block the direct sunlight as you walk. It has kept me from being exposed to the sun. Even in the hottest midday sun, I have not come home looking burned at all. I wish everyone would use these. I live in a major city and I never see other people using these cancer preventative UV protection umbrellas, and I can't understand why they don't. 2 Month Update: One of the plastic hooks broke apart today for absolutely no reason at all. I only used it a few times. Just read that others had the same issue I did. Contacted seller tonight (06/21/2021). I Will update again to let you know the outcome of that email and what the resolution is. Update: I emailed the company with a picture of the defect in their product. Waited a week and they emailed me back, kicking the can back at Amazon or offering me 15% off another purchase. I contacted Amazon and Amazon issued me a refund. Moreover, I read the same defective product issues from other verified purchasers as I experienced. No more G4FREE for me.

Cuts the Heat from the Sun
I bought four of these umbrellas for my adult kids. They were vacationing together in the July heat and I knew they would be sightseeing outdoors. The umbrellas were perfect! They cut the heat by blocking the sun and provide UV protection. It's amazing the difference standing under this umbrella. My teacher daughter now uses the umbrella on the playground at school and has other teachers asking to borrow it! Buy your own!! This umbrella is large and really is adequate for two people. It is collapsable which makes it convenient for travel and for leaving in the back of your car. Feels sturdy after a summer of use.

Only you (or a trustworthy friend) can judge the worthiness of an Amazon review.
Very good, until it broke four months later... :( Maybe I got the one lemon. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, the aptly named Valley of the Sun. For whatever the reason, climate change, global warming, tremendous growth and consequent urban heat effect, or some or all of the above, during the 30 years since I relocated from an LA suburb, the daily temperatures have increased, and the scorching "summer" months have spilled occasionally into mid-April, and for these 30 years, one couldn't count on temps in the 80s until Halloween. No joke. Sure, not every day, but if you plan on relocating, spend a week in July and then decide if it's for you. :) In fact, the NWS reported temps at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport had reached 103 degrees on April 11. The previous record for April 11 was 99 degrees from 2003. It was the second consecutive triple-digit day in Phoenix, which peaked at 100 degrees on Thursday. That was the previous hottest day of 2025, and it tied the record high for the date. Etc. My point, if I haven't slost you yet, is that a good umbrella is not only for its original use, rain protection, but for those who care, as an aid in skin cancer protection. I wish it hadn't broken. I may by another, hopeful that it holds together through our Valley's "summer." Best of luck in whatever you decide on purchasing. Oh, last thing (I promise), while I certainly recognize the utility of a compact umbrella (and have always purchased that size), I now additonally recommend a golf-sized umbrella for maximum protection if engaged in, well, golf :) or other, longer excursions. Thanks for reading some or even all of this.

Kaufempfehlung!

Thicker and sturdier than regular umbrellas
Amazing for blocking UV rays and keeping you a bit cooler during those hot days. You can also use it for rain.

Super paraguas
