excellent for teaching English as a second language partly because it uses the same pronounciation sysbols and the other text books we use.

Learning English words
I find this dictionary very helpful in giving tuition to adults who know little English. There are many examples and the explanations are clear and simple. It is particularly helpful because there are so many words which just do not occur in some other languages, such as Indonesian, spoken by those people I tutor now.

意味区分が一目瞭然で使いやすい。
単語の意味区分が、色分けした一つずつの項目立てになっており、多義語の識別がしやすい。他の辞書にはないユニークな編集方針が好感が持てる。ちなみに中国語版には、対訳も付いているので私は適宜参照している。日本語対訳があれば一番よいのだが、残念ながら未刊である。
