For reasons I'm not getting into here, I have to sleep on a camping cot for a few months. When I bought the cot I also bought this pad to make the cot slightly more comfortable and glad I did. This is NOT a luxurious quilted thick pad--it is very soft velvet like material that is nice, has convenient stretchy "bands" that go over the cot corners to keep it in place very well. It adds a bit of "softness" to laying on the cot, and also nice insulation to keep your backside warm when sleeping in cold weather. Its also light weight and comes with convenient carry bag. If you want a super thick pillow-like mat, this isn't it-- but if you want just a bit more comfort on your cot, and some insulation, this pad is perfect.

This pad does not look thick like it is in the pictures. It's very thin, much thinner than I like it to be. There's not enough cotton inside. You can feel the fabric on the other sides. It is comfortable sleeping on it but it's because of the fluffy fabric on the outside. It's a good quality fabric which is the only positive. I have used it for only a few week and already noticed loose threads unraveling.

I thought this product would be a little firmer like as in a outdoor lawn chair mat. But it is a mini blanket. It does keep you warm if you use it as a blanket which I'm doing. So I give it a five star because it is very comfortable. It does work and keep my feet warm. Even though it's advertised as a mat it's not. Still I give it five stars.

Calling these "pads" is a joke! They have no thickness to them what-so-ever. The price is absolutely ridiculous for what you get! These are paper-thin and don't offer any padding. You'd honestly get more padding by sleeping on a $5 throw blanket folded in half. I, unfortunately, ordered two of these so it was a complete waste of $80 when I could have spent $10 on seasonal throw blankets at the local chain store. If it wasn't such a hassle I'd return them. Honestly, it is false advertising because the description says "thick" padding and I own blankets that are thicker than these "pads."

Bought it for camping to go on top of the foldable cot I also bought. It's definitely a necessity if you purchased a cot to avoid extra noise and it prevents chaffing and general skin discomfort. It's a very cushiony texture and good quality.

I haven't really had a chance to use the map yet but I plan to use it quite a bit next year when we go camping. It looks really well made.
