Wooden Herb Grinder Classic

Only grinder you will need. Durable, quality material, and works really well. 10/10

I am definitely happy with this grinder. I had one just like it a few years back, but misplaced it. I was really happy to find one again on Amazon. I love the natural wood look and metal prongs on the inside. The product was delivered to me in perfect condition. If you have experience with grinders, this should last you a long time. General cleaning and maintenance will keep it in perfect condition. I gave it 5 stars in every aspect except "Easy to use" only because if you have larger hands, it's a little on the smaller side. If you dont grip it well, you can drop it easily. There isnt any magnet to keep it from coming apart, so you might lose your herbs if dropped. Other than that, its grinds to perfection! Overall, amazing product!

I purchased this herb grinder for my medicinal plants. If you are doing some wishful thinking, hoping this will beautifully powder your herbs, look elsewhere. However, this is a good and pretty little grinder for the price! It grinds herbs down enough to be used for culinary purposes and will probably work nicely for your weed. My myrrh did get stuck and I was worried I would break the grinder so I stopped trying. I'm attaching pictures of how it handled my milk thistle seeds for reference.

UPDATE 05/16 After having it a few months now, this guy unfortunately retired.. (which i took off one star for-- 3 stars now) -The nails are unfortunately quite thin, so over time they became bent. -The wood is somewhat soft. Mine had some random chips appear on the inside, and no one wants that in their herbs. Original Review March 07/16 Funny how a lot of noobs hate it and pros love it! This is true because as your first grinder, this probably won't be your favorite. But if you know what you're doing, and have experience with other grinders, this very well might be one of the best! CONS: -There is nothing to hold the grinder together (usually a magnet), so if you turn it upside down the lid will fall RIGHT OFF. -The grinder is small-- a little smaller than the average palm. There is also no depth to it, so it won't hold a lot of material. You do need a tray (or piece of computer paper) to lay out your material. -The teeth aren't sharp, (rather blunt, actually) and there isn't full coverage, so it does take some time to grind EVENLY depending on what consistency you're looking for. (Update 3.16.16) PROTIP: Grind it while holding it in an angle, it will ensure everything is getting pulverized. Also, when turning, turn in long full turns back and forth, rather than short, semi-turns back and forth. As a first grinder, I'd much rather recommend a nice 4 piece grinder because it fits MOST needs, with the added benefit of collecting pollen (kief), and not having to have a "tray" for your material, as it collects it in its own chamber. It also has a magnet keeping it together. If you can only buy ONE grinder, this WOULD NOT be it! I have multiple 4 piece grinders! PROS But! If you buy this WITH a purpose, it is invaluable! I was looking for, SPECIFICALLY a TWO piece grinder because it lets YOU decide how fine or coarse you want it. I needed to get a POWDER fine consistency which most VAPORIZERS thrive in, and this does the job well! This is because it doesn't have holes for your herbs to fall through once it's reached a certain size (about the size of the hole) . So you can just keep grinding it and grinding it and grinding it. I do usually leave this guy at home, as it CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT STORE MATERIAL. The lid WILL fall off. My friends have asked about it more than once as it looks very classy! Coarseness I prefer depending on how you smoke: -LARGER grind for DIRECT COMBUSTION (where a source of flame ((lighter or hempwick)) would come in direct contact with material)- I.e. A bowl, or a water pipe. I like this consistency because if it's too fine, you will torch your entire bowl really quickly and really easily which=waste in my opinion. -Medium grind for rolling anything - This is to replicate something close to what's actually inside cigarettes. I like it medium as opposed to a fine grind because this way of smoking is "burning" constantly (I.e. releasing smoke when you're not smoking) so if it's too fine, again, it will burn too fast. Medium grind works the best but too big of a grind and you WILL get uneven burning! -Fine Grind- This is IDEAL for vaporizers. This is true because it creates more surface area! More surface area=better contact with heating element=amazing vape! This is the MAIN reason I purchased this grinder! PROTIP: If you're grinding more material, it's easier to grind. This is because more material packs it tighter into the grinder, thus making sure all the material is getting some shredding! IF you want to grind a small amount, I found that holding it on its side while grinding and letting gravity help you keep it all on one side, helps speed up the grinding process! Great grinder.. doesn’t stick, prongs are holding up great.. just note that it is a SMALL grinder.. I didn’t look at the size before ordering. But I like it enough to where I would buy it again!

I love the grinder. Works great. The one I received was just plain brown. Mixed emotions. lol

The diameter of what you can actually grind is about the length of your last knuckle to the tip of your pointer finger, but, you can pack it densely and it doesn't take long or is difficult to grind a fair amount up. I use it for tobacco, and it makes my cigarettes burn slower, and safer because there aren't pockets of empty space (in which the ember would fall off randomly). I like it. I like the natural wood. Does the trick for me. But, it is teeny tiny. Expect it to be roughly the length of the small versions of the bic lighters you can buy.
