Vegan Makeup Brushes - 6 PC Double Sided Travel Make up Brushes with Brush storage Pouch - Old Style

I'm used to MAC brushes, and I only bought this set for travel, but I have to say I was totally impressed with the quality of these brushes. Super soft, and the perfect size to fit in a carry on bag or luggage case. The F15 powder brush is softer than my MAC 129 powder brush. I use the F19 blush brush to buff in a highlighter. It's basically a small Sigma F80. The F17 buffed bronzer brush is the same brush, just with an angle. The F11 is a traditional paddle foundation brush, still really soft. The F13 reminds me of the Kevyn Aucoin foundation brush, its a paddle brush but circular. The eye brushes are a little dense, so they need to be used to be softened up. The E14 is a flat eyeshadow brush, not very fluffy and came really dense. I use it for my nose cream contour because of how flat it is. The top of the bristles are angled, I'm not sure if that was intentional. The E12 is a more fluffy version the flat eyeshadow brush. It's much more soft and is perfect for packing on a lid color. The E13 is a contour brush. It's quite dense and small, so be gentle when using it to add contour color on the eyes. The F16 is a round concealer brush. It's really small for a concealer brush for the face, so I use it for the inner eye highlight color. I sometimes use it as a lip brush, because its dense and the point is fine and the perfect shape for the lips. It can also be used for adding color under the eye. The B13 is an eyebrow brush. You can use it for a thick eyeliner, but its not thin enough for a wing eyeliner. This brush is also quite dense, so be gentle around the eyes. The case it came in is magnetic, so be careful when traveling because it may open. The case is really elegant and it's a padded faux leather. I really was skeptical about the price, but as soon as I used them I fell in love with the quality. Totally recommend these, for beginners and professionals.

I seldom write reviews because I basically always get what I expect for the most part. As a general rule “you get what you pay for”! I am writing this review because I got so MUCH more than I expected or get with the money I spent. This SHANY Ombré Pro 10 piece makeup brush set. Awesome!! I have purchased many brush sets through the years from Channel high quality to Walgreens less expensive set. I gift them at Holidays and purchase them for myself. When I received this; I was very happy! It is truly as impressive as a Channel Set I once splurged on. The handles and brushes are gorgeous and the bristles are of very high quality. When you read “and a case is enclosed” .. I always expect a “nice” case and am always disappointed as most enclosed cases turn out to be so ugly and cheap I just throw them out. But this CASE is truly a nice case!! Magnetic closure, thick pleather material that looks and feels almost like leather!! It will be great for travel. There are so many different types of brushes out there now; that I can get confused of what some of them are even used for. This set has them engraved (not just a sticker that will come off) right on the handle, what each brush can be used for). I seriously could not have been more impressed with everything regarding this purchase. Finding a brush set that is truly of good quality AND design is hard to come by unless you spend $200 up. Buy this if you are wanting a brush set. You won’t be disappointed

Overall I think I like these brushes but I am not blown away. I am comparing them to the quality of some much older brushes I got over 10 years ago from Beauty Control (a company that people buy into and then sell themselves, like Pampered Chef or Tupperware). My Beauty Control brushes began shedding uncontrollably, so it was time to move on. Pros: the brushes are soft and of a good length. The handles are smooth and have a nice weight in my hand. Not cons but considerations: I am used to my powder and blush brushes being fuller than these. I will continue to use them and see how I like them over time but my first impression is that they are not as full as I would prefer. I like the assortment of brushes in this set but I would have rather had a thinner brush for F16. In the literature insert, the F16 is referred to as the "Precision Liner Brush for applying gel liners and lip liners" but on the product listing it is referred to as a "Rounded Concealer Brush." **The company did NOT misrepresent the brush on the listing. It is a fine concealer brush. The company must have changed the name to a concealer brush, since it is too big to be a liner brush, but all the same, if this is to be an "essential brush set" I'd rather have had a finer brush in the mix. I only even had this thought because the literature in the box that came with the brushes listed the brush as a liner brush and I thought- hey, that would have been nice. All in all, I think I will use the F16 as a creasing brush to control where I put the eyeshadow, and then blend with the one called "creasing brush E13." I purchased the travel set because I wanted a case to put the brushes in, but I'm only somewhat happy with the case. I wish there were individual slots or loops to put the brushes in to keep them from knocking around. I'm thinking about maybe adding styrofoam in the bottom with holes for the brushes to keep them apart while traveling.

I'm a big fan of the SHANY brand - they consistently deliver quality products at great prices with only the occasional miss. These brushes are absolutely adorable! The fibers are brightly colored and attractive, and they are very soft to the touch. I used them for a recent round of swatching for a blog post and they didn't shed and held up to being cleaned and reused in a short amount of time. My only complaint is that one of the loops in the carry case wasn't properly stitched and was coming loose when I opened the package, but I was already planning to move them to a separate case anyway so it didn't affect me, and it looks like it was just a defect with that one product and not a design problem. You get 12 brushes that only take up the room of 6, which is a great space-saver. If you haven't discovered SHANY and their fantastic brushes and really tremendous eyeshadow palettes, you should definitely give them a try, and this brush collection is the perfect place to start: it's a small addition to your kit that gives you the versatility of 12 fabulous brushes for a great price (I got mine for right around $17).

A big reason I selected this set was the case to hold everything in place but the case is useless. The elastic loops that are supposed to hold the brushes are all too big and the brushes slide right out. And the loop at the end of the case isn’t elastic so it doesn’t wrap around the case securely to keep it from opening. I cut the loop though so I could tie it and that seems to work. I would have returned it but I didn’t use it within the 30 days so I didn’t know the case was crap. I’m giving it a 3 though because the brushes are the perfect size for traveling and the bristles are soft and don’t shed.

My last set of brushes was from Bobbi Brown. I love them so very much and they have lasted a long time. When I started my search for a new set, I went to the Bobbi Brown site to take a look. HOLY COW.. Okay guys, to replace a full set of BB brushes is well lets just say I could make a car payment with that amount of cash. Soo, after some research I decided I could try out some of the less expensive brands. I found four that I researched and ordered (and /still/ spent a great deal less)…. Sooo, here I am trying out different brands of brushes and looking for that perfect set and I thought I might as well take you along for the journey. ;) So far I’ve looked at following brands - Of the four sets I looked at, I find that I prefer the Shany Cosmetics with a couple of the EcoTools added to the collection. 1) EcoTools - These are synthetic bristles with bamboo handles in a eco-friendly storage pouch. Brush sizes are 6 1/2 to 7 inches long from brush-tip to handle base. Would I recommend these to a friend? Yes — The handles are tapered and easy to manipulate when applying makeup. — Each brush is labeled for its purpose — I cleaned the brushes and they handle cleaning well and had no loss of bristles — Their case is a zip pouch - made with natural cotton and hemp. Great for the environment but not so good for keeping brush bristles well shaped. Perhaps adding mesh to the brush-tips to hold them would be a good addition. — The back of the pouch, being cotton and hemp, soaks up makeup and is a bit harder to clean. Overall - A Winner. A good set to fill in with while you look for that ‘perfect set’. You may find yourself liking them more than you expected to. For the price, I was shocked at just how much I am liking certain brushes from this set - specifically the Eye Shading Brush & Concealer Brush quickly replaced my old Bobbi Browns., they apply product evenly and blend nicely. 2) SHANY Cosmetics - SHANY Ombre Pro 10 Piece Essential Brush Set with Travel Pouch. Brushes are 6 to 6 1/2 inches long from brush-tip to handle base. Would I recommend these to a friend? Yes — The set comes with a nice case. The brushes are a bit cramped when inside it and I will be adding mesh protectors to make it easier to add / remove brushes from it without bending the bristles. — Each brush is labeled with its purpose. — So far they hold up well to being cleaned, no loss of bristles — The bristles are soft, thick, well contoured and apply makeup nicely. Overall - Another Winner…a very nice set that I will be using to replace some of my older brushes. Between this set and the EcoTools, I think I’ve found the brushes I am looking for. 3) Zozae - Professional Quality Kabuki Makeup Brushes; 8-pc Kit of synthetic brushes that comes with Organizer Case. Would I recommend these to a friend? Yes — You will want to open the case to allow it to ‘air out’ over night — I cleaned the brushes and they handle cleaning well and had no loss of bristles — A nice case the design protects the brushes well and will hold up to being placed in a suitcase. But they will take up a bit of room… These are full size brushes so don’t expect to toss them into a small purse and have room for anything else. — The brushes apply makeup smoothly. — In my opinion Zozae had the best case (easy access to each brush) Overall - The Zozae set would make a great gift set. Take the time to air out the case and clean the brushes and then wrap it all up and make someone a very happy camper. In fact I did. Of the sets I have looked at, this one drew my daughter’s attention. It has the best case and excellent brushes. She is very happy with it. 4) Be You, Beautifully 5 Piece Travel Makeup Brush Set . Synthetic bristles, wooden handles. Brush sizes are 4 - 4 1/2 inches long from brush-tip to handle base Would I recommend these to a friend? No — This set came with a tri-fold case that includes a mirror. If you are carrying a small purse then this is a set that would easily to drop into your purse. — The interior surface of the case is velvet. I am not a fan as storing used brushes next to it means the material will hold onto bacteria and makeup. I like to be able to clean both my brushes and my case. — Each brush is labeled for its purpose — The blush brush did not handle its first cleaning well. The bristles began to separate. — After washing, all the brushes tips began to curl outward slightly. Once dry they picked up too much product and didn’t apply it smoothly. I think more powder remained on the brush than on my skin. — Bristles are not as thick as other sets — The handles are short - which can be good for travel. But, in addition to being short, some of the handles are also thin - really thin, I prefer my brush handles to be a little thicker, easier to hold and manipulate. Overall — I am not a fan of the Be You Beautifully brushes. They are a lovely set but not one that will hold up overtime. If you are looking for a set of brushes just to get your through a week or so on vacation, these might work. Though you may find yourself dropping into shops and looking for others. — — Clean your brushes! — — If your brushes cannot hold up to being cleaned then they are not really meant to be used over time. Ideally, you should wash your brushes once a week to remove old makeup and bacteria. Even new brushes should be cleaned before use, you are removing anything the brushes may have picked up between the factory and your home - including that synthetic ‘smell’ some people notice. Run the bristles under warm water. Careful not to get the clamp or handle area wet. Apply a drop of gentle shampoo (baby shampoo) to the bristles and work it into the bristles. You will see old makeup coming from the bristles.. Rinse the bristles thoroughly under warm running water and continue rinsing until the water runs clear. Here’s the interesting.. and somewhat silly.. bit. . . ‘listen’ to the bristles. Lift the still-wet bristles up to your ear and rub them gently together - can you hear a sudsy/soapy sound? - You know that sound .. you may have heard it when washing your hair - you think you’ve rinsed all the soap away only to run a finger through and hear the crackling of soap suds. Continue to gently rinse the bristles until you are sure the soap has been removed. Your skin will not thank you if you use brushes that leave traces of soap on your skin. Use a paper towel or tea towel to absorb excess water and then gently shape the bristles and lay them out flat or hang them handles up to allow them to air dry.

Just got these yesterday and they seem to be well made. The bristles are of different density so they will be good with different types of make-up (powder or packed) I love the color bristles, they look lovely in a small vase on my counter. The handles are long enough to get a nice hold yet they will fit in a travel bag nicely. ( I have some other travel brushes that have very short handles and it is hard to put on make-up with them.) Pros: Pretty, right size, well made Cons: I don't care much for the case. I'll use my own bag, but for the price well worth the money. I would recommend these to friends. I posted this review because I was promised a thank you gift. I gave an honest review but would not have taken the time if not for the gift promise, but I tried to send it to Shany to get my gift and the link is bad. So only review if you like it, not for the gift.

All i can say is WOW! I was just going to use them when i go to the hospital but i think out of all my brushes I'm going to use these the most! Pro's: beautiful So soft Price Easy to use Practical Small enough to put anywhere The case is aweaome The brushes are numbered Love the paper that tells you by their number what they are and how to use them to get the best results. No shedding Easy to wash Love the double sided brushes Con's : On the paper that tells you what to do with the brushes on the last one where E15 should have been instead it is F15 repeated but thats no biggie. I would most definitely recommend to everyone! I will buy a couple of these sets for gifts for people. Absolutely love these!

La calidad del las brochas es bastante buena, son muy suaves y resulta muy practico con el estuche, aparte de ser una marca de produtos cruelty free, recomiendo ampliamente este producto. El precio es excelente.

Perfect for traveling and the brushes are soft!

I just received these today after ordering 3 days ago, and I can't wait to try them out. I bought them for a on-the-go mini makeup kit that I can use daily after I hit the gym and I'm headed to work. They're soft, seem to be well made, and the perfect size for travelling. They're slightly shorter than the average makeup brush, and the double-sided feature takes up less room in your bag or purse. They come with a small roll-up carrying case that will protect the brushes from dirt and damage, but it doesn't grip the smaller brushes well (they slide out), and it adds a bit of bulk to the package. I probably won't use the roll-up for those reasons. I'll update in a few months if I start losing a lot of bristles, but it doesn't seem like that's going to be an issue at all.

The brushes come in a very robust case with a magnetic closure. The brushes themselves are very nice. The bristles are very soft, and do not fall out. The brushes are marked with what each of them is used for which is excellent - especially for beginners. These would make an excellent gift and look really nice in their case or displayed out in the open. I bought these for travel however these are excellent every-day brushes also. Shany has some really nice products and are priced well when you can find them on sale!
