Gastroback 42823 Design Automatic Bread Maker Advanced,18 programs for bread, dough, jam, joghurt and ice-cream, gluten-free and defrost programs, timer, for up 1000g loaves of bread

After successfully using a Panasonic Breadmaker for about 10 years, when it died we wanted to buy a replacement Panasonic. Unfortunately there were none available and had to consider other makes. The reviews of this Breadmaker were very good and decided to purchase one. We have been delighted with the machine so far with easy to follow instructions and most importantly really delicious bread. We have only scratched the surface of its capabilities. We would recommend this Breadmaker, especially as we followed other people’s recommendations successfully.

I can do all type of breads and cakes, it has a feature to add seeds in the middle of the process. It does not take too much space and it is beautiful. It has a good value. I am happy with my purchase. Here the improvements I would suggest to the manufacturer (if they ever read customer's feed-back): The book has only a few recipes. I wished it had more as the machine has 17 programs and the booklet does not offer at least 2 recipes per each of the different programs. You could even suggest on-line links! A bit noisy when it kneads - so if you put the timer to start at night and you have not closed the kitchen door or your bedroom door, it might happen (like it happened to me) that the noise wakes you up ... Not a big issue but better if you do not have to think about it

This bread maker makes excellent bread of many varieties. It has been in use every day for about 5 months now and has proven itself to be a real asset in the kitchen. Last week the drive shaft that runs into the bread pan seized. It is not serviceable at home, so I emailed the customer service department that was listed on the instruction booklet. For once, I have found a customer service department that acts swiftly and positively. Within just a few days they had sent a new bread pan to me, that was immediately put into action! There were no quibbles and no attempts at excuses. Just a very helpful company! Not only is the bread maker a quality piece of equipment, the bread it makes is fabulous, and the customer services people need a pat on the back! Highly recommended!

The product arrived one day late but looks good on unpacking. Lighter than I expected but haven’t tried it yet.

I love this bread maker machin. It’s German made and it’ makes a really good bread. It doesn’t make big hole i if you do exactly io instruction.

This is quite a large machine but thus far have had no problems. Only comment was there were not enough reciepes in the hand book. That handbook was quite large as it had english and german instructions.

Having had a bread machine for some time, this was a replacement for another brand that I was unable to get hold over during COVID. It looks good and fits on the work surface not taking up too much room and has a good stainless steel body. However, the performance is sadly lacking. My main gripe is that half of every loaf is wasted as the kneading blade remains in the loaf when you tip it out and by the time you have dug the blade out there is a large hole in the bottom of the bread. Not the number of control options as other machines have either. Seller will not assist me due to the negative review. Manufacturer told me to adjust the recipe, I have tried everything, and nothing works, the machine is either a bad design, or mine is faulty. Also difficult to see the timer controls and I have no idea how long into the programme it is. Viewing window is useless as you can't see the bread.

Super results with bread. Can't wait to try it out with other functions.

The dispencer stopt working and the supplier does not answer. Via amazon there is no repair support. I am very unsatisfied

Wir haben den Brotbackautomat jetzt seit Oktober 2025,habe schon unzählige verschiedene Brote gemacht. Sind alle gut bis sehr gut geworden. Habe seit dem nie mehr ein Brot gekauft und werde es auch nicht mehr tun. Erstens wegen der Preise und zweitens weiß ich jetzt, das da viel Zeugs drin ist, was die Welt nicht brauch. Mein Lieblingsbrot besteht aus 3 verschiedene Dinkel-Mehle und Sauerteig, Backe es 3x Wöchentlich. Hab auch schon ein Brot gebacken, wo ich 5-6 verschiedene Mehl Sorten rein gegeben habe, wo ich überall nur noch einen kleinen Rest von hatte, selbst das ist sehr gut aufgegangen und hat geschmeckt. Ich würde diesen Brotbackautomaten aufjedenfall weiter empfehlen und mir auch diesen wieder holen (Ich hoffe aber, das er ein paar Jahre hält).

Compré esta panificadora porque la que tenía dejó de funcionar. Iba a comprar la Neretva, pero empezaron a subirla de precio hasta llegar a un precio desorbitado y desistí porque no creo que una panificadora tenga que llegar a ser un útil prescindible en la cocina por causa de su precio. Me he llevado una gratísima sorpresa con esta Gastroback. Hace unos panes excelentes, con una miga mullida y una corteza crocante. He puesto fotos de tres de los panes que he hecho (pan de chocolate con nueces, pan blanco básico y pan 100% integral). Amasa muy bien, el ruidito que hace mientras trabaja es agradable y por la ventanita que tiene puedes controlar todo el proceso. La cocción es uniforme y salen los panes perfectos. Estéticamente es muy bonita y el molde que tiene es de cerámica sin tóxicos y no pega absolutamente nada. Yo estoy encantada, 100% recomendable y bien de precio.
