These eyelet screws are NOT made of steel or any other strong metal. I tried screwing them into a piece of softwood and they broke off every time. They look like cheap lead or some other cheap metal on the inside, sprayed with a nice shiny coating. I couldn't use them at all. Another example of being taken advantage of by Chinese suppliers. THESE DON'T WORK, they break! Sending mine back for a refund.

There were 102 in one and 103 in another. I use these to attach a chain to the lid of wood boxes.

They look really nice but are by far the weakest screws i have ever used. With a few twists the head breaks off, leaving the bottom half stuck inside whatever youre screwing it into. Terrible quality and very disappointed.
