Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus CE Color Graphing Calculator, Black

I bought this calculator because it was required for my high school math classes, and it ended up being one of the most useful school purchases I made. The battery life was excellent, the screen was bright and easy to read, and it handled everything from Algebra to Calculus without any issues. Once I became familiar with the menus, it was surprisingly intuitive to use. Years later, I still think it’s worth the investment if your school recommends it. It isn’t inexpensive, but it’s reliable and built to last.

I’m usually pretty skeptical when it comes to legacy tech that hasn't changed its core layout in decades, but after picking this TI-84 Plus CE up for my kid’s math and physics classes, I have to admit Texas Instruments got the hardware refinement right. Coming from the older monochrome models, the high-res color backlit screen is a night-and-day upgrade. Being able to color-code multiple functions makes tracking intersection points and complex graphs infinitely easier. The slimmed-down chassis fits nicely in a backpack without adding extra bulk, and switching to an integrated rechargeable battery means we finally said goodbye to AAA battery hassle. As someone in IT, I appreciate the solid tactile feedback on the keypads and the fact that the OS is snappier than previous generations. Most importantly, it’s fully approved for SAT, ACT, and AP exams, which saves us from any test-day headaches. The price point is definitely on the premium side for what is essentially specialized micro-computing hardware, but given its reliability, build quality, and essential role in high school and college coursework, it's worth every penny. Solid 5 stars.

Super versatile tool. It’s very fast to respond and graph. Even has some sneaky features that I know teachers wouldn’t like🤫. Also if your school takes away you phone, you can play Mario and geometry dash

I used this for statistics and the most impressive feature is its battery life. It lasts me all day, I could say I’ve charged it 5 times in a span of 3 months. I used it all day. It sat for 4 months but now that I’m taking chemistry, I’m using it again and it’s as proficient and efficient as the first time I used it! I’d recommend you buy this esp if you have family members who are in need of a modern TI-84 calculator! I haven’t yet to unlock the many features I see this device is capable of but according to my peers you can also add notes and some other handy features in it.

The calculator originally arrived defective. After calling TI directly (the contact info on Amazon was not accurate), they determined the battery it was shipped with was defective, causing it to just continuously reboot while I had it plugged in, and not hold a charge. They sent me a brand-new replacement battery for free and also gave me a year of free access to the digital/online version of the calculator. I received the batter in less than a week and since the calculator has worked without issue. It took me a few hours of watching you tube videos to learn how to utilize the calculator to its fullest, and I am very satisfied with the amount of things the calculator can do. Definitely more recommended for advanced math, otherwise your not going to get the value for your money if you are only using basic functions or limited to algebra, geometry or general science. This one packs a more powerful punch for Calculus, Statistics, color visualization of functions, and even basic programming.

Exactly what we needed for HIgh School math. The price was exceptional and it came with a nice case.

Came with everything including the charger. The calculator did come pre-charged. I’ve had it for over a year so far and works well for most STEM subjects

All of the buttons work which is a very different from my old calculators. I use it in class and it works amazing. I found it a little confusing to use at first but once I got the hang it was amazing.
