What is the expiration date on the package? I know the effectiveness goes down the older they are.

My package does not have an expiration date on it - however, it has the date of 2013 in the lot number which would suggest that my strips were quite old - and perhaps why I did not get much relief.

Can you shower with these and if you can do they lose effectiveness?

I haven't yet, I put them on aftwards and they stay put the rest of the day.
