Denso 234-5010 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor

Perfect fit for 2007 Honda Accord 3.0L. Cleared my check engine light, and helped me pass my emission. I’m hoping it lasts me a while, but it seems to be a quality piece. Thanks!

These are complete O2 sensors. They come with the complete wiring and proper connector to simply bolt in, reattach and get back on the road. You will probably need an O2 sensor removal tool. New sensors bolt in at 32 foot lbs. Each sensor comes with anti-seize compound, which basically makes each of these new O2 sensors a complete kit for replacing the ones you are removing. Your Honda probably has NTK sensors. These Denso ones are good replacements. The rear "Bank 1, sensor 1" sensor is a bit tricky. The part itself is easy to remove, it's the mount for the wire clip that's difficult. Practice on the front one, then attempt the rear. On the rear there is a plastic tang on the wire connector. Pull that toward the engine, then slide the connector toward the passenger side. The will unmount the wiring from a bracket on the engine. Then just press the clip on the wire connector and pull its 2 halves apart from each other. A tiny screwdriver might help you tweak on the tang to get it loose from the bracket on the engine. It's all a tight squeeze, but not particularly difficult. DO NOT TOUCH the end of the sensor, and make sure you do not get anti-seize on the sensor! It WILL ruin your new part.

Bought this for my wife's 2007 Honda Pilot. The dealership quoted her $800 to replace. Figured out, based on the check engine code, that it was bank 1, sensor 1. There are 2 catalytic converters, both located behind the engine near the firewall. Each converter has 2 oxygen sensors, one on top and one near the bottom. The bottom ones can only be accessed from under the car. This one was on the driver's side, top. I got my stepladder and was able to see it looking down on the back of the engine. The first thing to do is to disconnect the sensor from the harness. The harness is hard to see but if you follow the cable from the sensor to the harness you can find it easy. Next you have to disconnect the harness from the metal mount to the engine. There is a small tab you can feel with your finger. Pull that tab up and remove the harness. Now you can pull the harness up so you can see it to disconnect. After that, it's easy. Get your sensor removal tool (definitely worth the $6), a socket wrench or torque bar with an extension. Turn it counter-clockwise and you'll feel it pop. They aren't on there very tight, unless it's corroded somehow. Spray some WD-40 in that area first and let it penetrate. Take out the old sensor and check to see if it's intact. If it's broken then there are probably metal chunks in the converter you need to remove with a magnet or a long set of forceps. Add a small amount of anti-seize to the threads of the new sensor and install using only finger force. Once it's set in you can tighten a little bit with your removal tool but not too much. It is a economical alternative to other brands which according to some reviewers dont work as well. NOT and Denso are the OEM for many Japanese and Korean cars. I replaced my O2 sensor because of the code I received after diagnosing with OBDII scanner.The unit arrived timely, and it was packaged properly. However the marking,on the box and the actual unit do not,match and even though the item was in sealed plastic,bag it showed as if,it was,used , due,to some,tarnish .It does work so far and,it,has been a week since I installed,it.Time will tell if it works .

Worked perfectly on my 2005 Acura TL. Restored power and cleared check engine light. I recommend installing this part even though it's a little bit more expensive.

This is great! Had engine light on P2197 Bank 2 sensor 1 on Honda Pilot 2005 and it cleared the code. It passed smog after buying a second one for Bank 1 sensor 1 P0420 code. Bought a cheaper one that DID NOT work so I returned it and got these Denso. Don't cheap out on O2 sensor.

My mechanic installed it. I bought this brand based on his recommendation. I have no issue with O2 error anymore

Replacing this sensor was a huge pain in the buttocks due to location, but the product worked perfectly and cleared the error code. Use a OBD2 tool first to narrow down which sensor first. This is a good excuse to buy a bore scope camera as it was what I needed to figure out how to remove the wiring harness.

My Acura TL 2005 has about a half dozen of these sensors but this one is the most important one. When I got a P0420 code I was due to replace the radiator side catalytic converter, or BANK 2. Because they easily retail at 500$+ for 1 converter, I didn't want to spend another 200$ on a sensor without trying to "clean" them in a bath of gas and get them working a bit longer. The downstream sensor was fine but the upstream didnt take the bath very well. The P0420 was gone but I had about 6 other codes all pointing to Bank 2 Sensor 1 going from cylinder misfires to voltage stuck on lean, so I had to replace it. After installing it and resetting the ECU, all the codes were gone and none came back but the car kept failing readiness test for catalyst. I monitored the voltage for a few hours to see if it was problematic but found that it was well within the 0.2 to 0.8 range and was giving regular rich/lean readings with no unusual peaks. After waiting a day or 2 the readiness all came green so I suspect the sensor brake in period was a little longer that most. Also, I wouldnt use the paste that came with it, its extremely thin and would likely drip into the new cat for some time so I used Permatex copper antiseize which is one of the best for high temp purposes.
