I needed a replacement spout for my old gas can and this kit fit perfectly. Installation was simple and it’s very secure with no leaks. Pouring is smooth and easy, makes filling containers much less messy. Seems durable and well-made, definitely a reliable replacement for older gas cans.

So much easier than the new safety nozzles on all the cans! Used to replace the spout on a standard plastic gas can. I was sick and tired of spilling gas everywhere when the silly safety trigger thing wouldn't work right and then just spilled out all over. This is back to basics and works great. No leaking at all, just easy pour. Sanity restored.

This makes it so much easier on these new gas cans to pour. I’m used to the old ones and the new ones. I don’t have the strength in my hands like I used to do get them to do what you want. This is just like having the old gas cans. You just gotta make sure that you put the lid on it so you don’t spell gas, but it works great.

Well made. Could not use one of the caps on my older gas can but the spout worked with my gas cap. I drilled out the vent holes, and the vents appeared to fit well. Have not filled yet to see if anything leaks. Like the fact they have built in filter at the base of the spouts, and the size of the spouts. Glad to finally get rid of the old safety spout on one of the containers that was a total pain to use.

I have spent many years getting completely irritated with the mandated and very complicated nozzles on every gas can sold since 2009. To me, they are like some sort of engineered torture, designed to make the simple task of getting gas out of a container and into a gas tank as difficult as possible. Just the other day I tried to put gas in my mower. The can had been sitting in the sun, and pressure had built up. When I was finally able to get the nozzle to open, gas sprayed directly into my mouth and eyes. That was not a pleasant experience. At that point, I was done. I got online, found this nozzle, and decided to order it. It arrived yesterday. It screwed on easily and fit my 5 gallon gas can perfectly. No leaking. And best of all, the gas came out. All I had to do was lift the can up, stick the nozzle into my mower, and lo and behold, the gas flowed. No buttons to push, no forcing a nozzle contraption to open that doesn't want to, and no gas leaking or spraying everywhere. Who knew. I have since ordered 2 more.

If you have a little common sense you can ditch the stock spout included with the your gas can and install these. I installed my first EZ-POUR about 10 years ago and the plastic has held up just fine. But the stock spout that came with another can got brittle and cracked so I got an EZ-POUR to replace it. The included EZ-POUR yellow collar screwed onto my Midwest can just fine, but I re-used the Midwest black collar and the EZ-POUR nozzle fit and sealed just fine. Do not skip installing the yellow vent that EZ-POUR includes, it is needed to allow air to enter as the gas pours into your mower. EZ-POUR has vague instructions on the packaging which don't really mention how or where to install the vent, but it's easy to do. Just drill a 1/2" hole on a fairly flat spot behind the handle of your can. This will keep the vent above the liquid when can is full and resting on floor, and it will also keep it above the liquid when the spout is pointing down filling your mower. The vent will not be easy to push it into the 1/2" hole because it is intended to be a tight fit in order to make a good seal. So put the cap on the vent and drive it in with a rubber mallet, or place a block of wood block over it and lightly tap it in with a hammer.

The only problem was that the supplied collars for attaching to the jug could not be used. The original one on the jug works best.
