Is the pendalum swing from left to right adjustable or is it a fixed distance? Also, does the pendulum swinging make a tick tock sound, or silent?

Pendulum can be snipped shorter with sturdy pliers and a new bend formed for hanging. Think tick-tock is silent? My pendulum taps the wooden walls of the opening and makes faint tapping sound.

Can you use this on any clock? We have an Edward Meyer’s grandfather clock.

I'm not sure what you mean by Grandfather clock. The package includes a battery powered clock motor (seems to be all plastic) with an attached sound device. The pendulum is not attached to the clock gear etc. It just swings by some kind of magnetic pulse. Our clock has kept good time. The clock also comes with new hands. I used it to replace a worn out motor in an old clock that I bought at the thrift store. It chimes on the quarter hour. However, that setting is adjustable.

how do you attach the chime horn to the clock cabinet?

I attached mine with a small sticky velcro patches to the back side of the speaker. The battery case I attached with velcro type command strips.
