Love this book grew up with it. My mom had it.

Had this book back in the 80’s and cooked out of it quite a bit. So happy to have another copy. The recipes are excellent and hold up well. There is a companion cookbook they put out that has a white cover. I recommend that as well.

I bought this book looking for a specific recipe, not realizing it wasn't in it. Apparently, there are several volumes of this cookbook, from what I understand. Anyway, I probably won't be making much from this. None of the recipes appeal to me right now. I say 'right now' because my cooking/taste/diet preferences change pretty frequently.

I had this cookbook from back in the 1980's. It was so well used that it fell apart and I had to rubber band it to keep all the pages together. Recently found out I could order a new one and, boy, was I excited. Now I have a 2nd copy that will, again, last me another 30+ years.

This is a great accompaniment to the original Silver Palette Cookbook. The emphasis here is on entertaining, so the recipes are frequently more formal and serve larger quantities. The book is arranged seasonally with proposed menus (i.e. a Kentucky Derby party, mid-winter skiing holiday). You'll get great ideas for parties just looking through the book. Plus, there are lots of great tips on planning a party and cooking for a crowd. I particularly recommend the Broccoli-Watercress Soup - I return to it again and again as the definitive cream of broccoli soup. If you're not able to brine your Thanksgiving turkey (which is my personal favorite but very time consuming), the recipe and cooking method in this book is the next best thing. Also, their turkey saves better than any other I've tried. Martha Stewart has better pictures of entertaining in her cookbooks, but this book has the best recipes for entertaining and is the most practical for your typical cook.

This was a used cookbook. There were torn places and some corners were turned down. I paid for a new cookbook. So disappointed!!!

Great cookbook and delicious easy recipes.

I got introduced to this cookbook by a friend and am now ordering more and handing them out. Every single recipe is great and require no re-working. A must-have in any kitchen. Delivery was super fast.

This is one of a series of well written recipes. The ingredients are not terribly exotic but are combined with fresh insight. There is a wide variety of recipes that should appeal to many palattes.

Bought this 36 years ago and just regifted to 3 of my children. They love it.
