Convenient and inexpensive
Good quality cone for pour over coffee. Very convenient for when someone wants just one more cup after the pot has run out or to take when you travel. This has 3 holes in the bottom so it can drain very quickly. Usually takes the #2 filter but in a pinch the #4 will work too. I am the type of person that does not just flood the cone with hot water and then let it drain. I like to put small amounts of water just enough to cover the coffee so that all the water flows through the maximum of the coffee grounds instead of filling with water and having coffee grounds left along the sides of the filter as it drains out. Only drawback, which wasn't even an issue until I bought another style, is that the base covers the whole bottom with no hole to see how full the cup is getting. You have to lift it up to check how filled the cup is. Another style I have recently purchased has a hole that allows you to see into the cup without lifting it up. Problem with that one is it only has one hole to drain. A combo of the two would be a great mash up.

It works.
I've had these off and on throughout my life and they are a great way to make coffee for just one person. A scoop or two of coffee in the filter you put in it, then hot water, and you have a perfect cup of coffee with not mess. Have used this or a variant of this as a student, visiting noncoffee drinkers, as a gift, etc. Great, functional idea.

Yes, even after you add the cost of shipping, it is still worth it!
I have had one of these single-cup coffee drip dispensers for a long time. It uses a standard #2 paper filter, but I use #4 filters instead, since they are cheaper (but the #4 filter will stick up a bit past the top edge of this cone). It is still going strong after almost ten years, and I wash it every month or so on the top rack of my dishwasher. I decided to get another one, since it is hard to find good functional products like this anymore. It has FOUR holes in the bottom that allow for quick, even draining of the water after you pour it over the grounds. I use about 20 to 30 grams of ground coffee to make a 12 to 18 ounce cup of coffee. I have used both store-bought ground coffee (in the past) and now fresh ground coffee (I grind the beans finely, so the 4 holes on the bottom help keep the water flowing through properly). This cone will fit on top of large and small cups alike: the outer diameter of the base is 4.75 inches, which means it will fit quite comfortably on a cup that has a top diameter of 4.5 inches, and the inside diameter (where the coffee seeps through) is only 2 inches in diameter, which means it will fit on *any* cup with a top diameter between 2.25 inches and 4.5 inches. The base, excepting the 4 holes, is solid, so VERY LITTLE HEAT ESCAPES from your cup while the cone is on top of it and the water is still seeping through. Anyway, other cones designed for one cup all have various drawbacks: some have bottoms with unnecessary, non-functional grooves that allow heat to escape, or there is only one big hole for the coffee to go through and the water spends too much time in the grounds making the coffee bitter, or you have to pour just a little bit of water over the grounds at a time, or the hole is really big or there are too many smaller holes and the water goes through too quickly providing a weaker brew (or requiring the use of more grounds), or some other poorly thought-out design flaw. And cones made of ceramic are heavy and could topple lighter-weight or taller cups. I saw that this item goes out-of-stock from time to time, and wanted a backup in case I ever lose the one I have been using (without a hitch, I might add). I recommend you buy one before this particular design becomes extinct. EDIT: I forgot to add that the very bottom of this cone extends a mere 3/8 inches into the cup you place it on, reducing the likelihood of the brewed coffee coming into contact with the plastic (unless you pour too much water into the cone and don't monitor it as it seeps through) and also making it unlikely that you will spill the grounds when you whisk the cone away after brewing.

Handy item, works real good.
This is a handy little item and fits my coffee cups real good without wanting to fall off. Nice and stable. The Melita filter #4 is what I ordered for this because they are cheaper than the #2 and only stick up just a bit on top. I think, if used as directed, that the 4 holes in the bottom allow the water to drain out too fast to make best use of the coffee grounds which is why I only gave 4 stars. That said I'll explain how I use it. I have found that one of my Bunn coffee filters can be used with this and works just as well and is much cheaper. I measure ny cup of water and boil in a pan. Then I allow the temp to drop a bit and add my coffee grounds to the hot water and let it steep for a couple of minutes. Then I pour it into the filter and let it strain the grounds. This eliminates any problem of too many holes in the filter holder and gives me a good cup of coffee. I recommend this to anyone wanting to make a single cup of coffee with no fuss, no muss.

Simple device for a quick brew.
This is an easy to use appliance with no moving parts. It has held up for a couple of years of daily use without issue. I have another more classic brand that is a bit smaller and has fewer holes, but it was not available so I went with this one. This is a nice big cone for your number 4 paper filter (which I learned from instructions should be folded over the seams!). There are four (4) drip holes in the base with a typical cylinder in the center (providing something of a stand with the outer edge). The water does drain pretty quickly, and I use a gold plated metal filter along with number 4 paper filters - so that might slow down my drip transit time slightly as well as allowing me to extract the wet grounds and paper from the Fino cone with ease. Some folks might find this cone brews too quickly, but you could always double your filters if you need a stronger brew on occasion. Besides, who wants to wait for slow drip coffee in the morning as you pour water over the beans? My beans get fully decocted of coffee essence - so it's not a problem for me. The cone works in other words. Just be aware that this is a four hole cone with corresponding quicker water transit time. It's not too fast, if you need your java right away or brew a quart of coffee at a time like I do.

Great Buy For Coffee Lovers
I bought this as an addition to my coffee routine in the morning. I use a French press to make coffee in the morning and then I take this pour over and put it over my cup. Then take an organic coffee filter put it in the pour over and pour my coffee into it and it will actually absorb all the extra oil from your coffee which helps to eliminate the cholesterol from your coffee. Cheap and easy!

Pretty decent, but you can't see how fast cup is filling.
Was $5 when I got it, probably could have gotten the official Melitta one with a cup for not much more down at Publix. I read another review that said this one was better because the Melitta one has gaps at the bottom "that let the heat escape." Now that I have this one, I know the gaps are so you can see how full your coffee cup is. It's not a big deal if you measure out your water first. I'm using mine on top of a smallish thermos bottle. The problem I had is the ring on the bottom of this device and the opening on the thermos match perfectly. Since they're the same size, it's a wobbly frustrating process holding this thing with one hand while pouring water on the coffee with the other. This gets hot at the bottom. I determined the plastic cups from our water cooler were exactly the right size to fit in the top of the thermos bottle, and when cut off about 1/2 tall and the cup bottom removed, perfectly mated the two devices together - the fit was so good I had to cut a notch in the side of this MacGuyver'ed adapter ring to let air out or condensed steam and coffee would get pushed out the sides. Three stars. I like the red color. The fact that the little centering ring on the bottom and the top of my thermos bottle are exactly the same is unfortunate. Why couldn't they have tested against my thermos!

Buena cafetera

Just my cup of tea (sorry I mean coffee!)
The coffee cone arrived in good time. The price was reasonable at about only £3. It surprises me that it had to be imported from USA. This is a quick way of making a cup of coffee for one. Heating the milk improves the flavour of the coffee, I find. As I have no coffee cone filters yet, I am using kitchen towel (paper). If you compost, it is easy to transfer the paper and used coffee grounds to a container of items destined for the compost bin.
