Very well made. It has little tabs around the edge to make sure chunks of salt dont fall into the brine. Creates a tight secure fit. Glad my old one cracked, this one is way better

Fit my 18 inch diameter salt tank. My softener was shipped without a grid. Had frequent salt mushing at the bottom that clogged the intake from the brine tube. Tried every premium salt brand with no luck. This was the fix. It keeps the salt above the floor of the tank. Snug enough around the outer edges to prevent salt from migrating past the grid. The 4 inch brine tube hole was not as snug. Could feel salt pellets falling past the grid onto the bottom of the tank. Bought a 3inch rain collar roof vent boot at the local hardware and slid it down over the brine tube to contact the grid plate and seal the gap. The weight of the salt keeps it tight against the grid and keeps the salt pellets from falling through. Works great now. No more clogging,mushy salt to clean out. Wish I had installed this sooner.

Fit my Kinetico brine tank perfectly! I didn't even bother getting a price from my local Kinetico dealer because I knew it would cost a small fortune from them like everything else they sell.

The original grid plate assembly in my softener's brine tank was literally disintegrating after almost four decades of service. This replacement is a much more durable poly plastic deck that is of similar material to the tank so should last forever. It functions and fits very well after some work. First, there are a few dozen of the deck perforations that were not cleanly molded. That probably wouldn't be critical to its performance but I drilled them out give the deck a completely perforated array. Second, the four "legs" that stood the deck off the floor of the tank positioned the deck about an inch lower than the one it was replacing, so I raised it up with some PVC pipe fitting "coasters "under those legs to give a similar volume for the brine solution to reside under the deck as it had before. Finally, the 4" diameter hole in the side of the deck wasn't quite big enough for the float valve stand pipe to pass through. I slit the stand pipe wall up a few inches so it would circumferentially compress enough to squeeze through the 4" deck hole and provide the float valve assembly the support it needed. I have run about 4 regeneration cycles on the softener and the brine tank appears to be operating satisfactorily thus far.

Great replacement for a broken brine tank grid plate. It saved me a fortune. Plumber wanted to replace the whole system since it was “broke”. I used some YouTube videos to track down the issue of brine tank intake clog due to broken grid. Replace and system works perfectly now. Highly recommend if you need a new one for your tank.

Fit into my drum perfectly. Hole for the float and the perforated edges sealed any possibility of undissolved salt from from getting down to the bottom of the tank. On the 4 legs that extend from the bottom they already had the holes predrilled to put on the extenders my original grid plate had to make the grid sit 9" off the bottom of the brine tank. Great product, reasonably priced and arrived in 3 days. Would recommend this purchase.

Works in the antique Culligan Mark 89 with modification. The salt plate fits the brine tank perfectly, but there is a gap of 1"-2" in the hole for the brine reservoir. We used a 2 liter empty soda bottle that was cut to fit the smaller circumference of the Culligan brine reservoir. Covers the gap all the way around without blocking too many of the small holes in the salt plate. This part was a life saver as Culligan doesn't make this plate anymore.

Made a huge difference in my brine tank effectiveness. There was never a grid plate installed in my Fleck system so the salt compressed at the bottom of the brine tank and blocked the flow in both directions. Well made and worth every penny. Fit perfectly in my 18 x 40 tank..

Common item for 18" round salt tank. Fit nice and snug. Helps prevent salt bridging.

Everything was good about it, I just measured it wrong. It was too small for my tank had to returned it. Arrived earlier than was expected, quality is good same as package.
