Does this radio transmit also or just receive?

ON EVERY WAVELENGTH: The Etón Elite 750 "BROADCASTS"(transmits) every radio wavelength...the CORRECT wording is "RECEIVES" or "receives broadcasts". This sort of word play has become common on Amazon (and other online sellers) and is not only MISLEADING & DECEPTIVE but very annoying. If you can't perform the SIMPLE task of accurately describing your product, it makes me wonder what questionable manufacturing and Quality Control methods you are using. Clean up your act, consumers deserve it.

Can you please recommend a specific model antennas for sw and lw. i know sw and lw will require 2 different antennas. also include outdoor and indoor

The Eavesdropper-T trapped dipole antenna is designed specifically for the shortwave broadcast listener. You can attach one end to your house and the other end to a tree or even slope it down to the ground. The center tap runs to the radio. For longwave, just a very long wire. as along as you can get.

Can you connect this to an externsl antenna for SW if you want.

If you have space for it you can connect a SW antenna.
