I had a shortwave radio where the battery compartment became useless after an acid explosion. I noticed the DC adaptor on the side and bought this. One of the plugs worked great. It also makes sense to have an ability to run a shortwave radio on car power or any powerbank like a Jackery. More solutions for power during an emergency is always a plus.

As the illustration sort of says, it’s center positive, so if whatever you’re trying to run is center negative , it won’t work (or I suppose you could splice the wires and reverse). Otherwise seems fine.

Good adapter - because of the USB connectivity there is no reverse polarity option. As a radio tech., I especially like the adapter that allows for connecting bare-ended wire.

The adaptors and output voltages seem fine, but the cigarette lighter plug was sad. The tip had come loose during shipping because the very thin plastic under the keeper ring had failed. That led to the observation that the normally replaceable fuse was soldered into the plug. A piece of plastic sleeve from a pen housing was used to replace the original and make it functional.

I bought this in September and because we e been in lockdown (Ontario) I haven’t used it in my car as much as I would’ve normally. I used my car for the first time in a few weeks over the weekend, replugged the cable in and when I pulled it out the end of the adapter just fell out. Pretty cheap cable if you ask me. How does it just “fall out”?? I’m quite disappointed. Money wasted. Don’t bother buying.
