We cannot ship citrus to; American Samoa, Arizona, California, Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Louisiana, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Texas, Virgin Islands as per USDA Regulations. This tiny leafed relative of citrus produces finger-like fruit with tart, round, juicy, light colored vesicles. Sometimes called "citrus caviar", fruit flavor is reminiscent of Mexican lime. Primary fruiting season in California is November - December. The plant has white and pink flowers May-July. Chefs from all over have caught on to the limes' charms. Restaurants in San Francisco use them to add tangy, textural contrast to the rich beurre blanc that tops sauteed scallops. Australian chefs mix the capsules into cocktails at home to add a concentrated citrus note. In Paris, pastry chefs uses finger limes as a bright, finishing touch in both fruit compotes and rich chocolate desserts. "It's the fleur de sel for the pastry chef." The fresh vesicles have the effect of a burst of effervescent tangy flavor as they are chewed. The fruit juice is acidic and similar to that of a lime. Marmalade and pickles are also made from finger lime. The finger lime peel can be dried and used as a flavoring spice. Review: Amazing condition - Seller shipped promptly and caviar lime tree sat in the box in my living room for three days after arrival unopened. When I finally got to it, it was a shriveled, dehydrated, sad, pathetic thing. Having purchased from them happily before, I watered it well, made sure it wasn't standing in water, and by the end of the day the leaves had come back to life, the tree looked perky and brand new, had no dead leaves or branches, and I'm a very happy plant parent of this tree (and will work on my plant parenting skills!). Highly recommend this seller; has always been helpful and responsive. Don't know if it'll survive my north facing apt., but I have high hopes. It's that healthy and strong (watch for thorns). Review: Shocked by the quality! - I had low, low expectations. It's the dead of winter, and this had a long trip to make. When it arrived, the box was lying flat in the snow and the heat pack at the bottom of the box was completely cold. Once I fully opened the box? What a shock! One branch was sickly, but the rest of it was a healthy, shrubby tree with tons of green leaves. It looks as healthy as can be, and after repotting it I've not seen any negative impact on it. Truly impressed by how healthy this plant is and that it arrived in a snowstorm in such condition.

Great finger lime tree!
Great looking finger lime tree-nice and full with huge roots. Packaged well so no damage in the mail! Still looks great after repotting, placing in a South facing window, and taking care of it for a few months. I'm growing it as a house plant, zone 4.

Awesome little Aussie
Great little tree full of beautiful green leaves and needle-like thorns (be careful when handling). My one arrived mostly intact. I lost one branch out of the six it started with, but I believe that happened in shipping as the the tree is healthy other than that. I've got a couple new leaves forming already so everything is looking positive.

Healthy happy plants
Would order from this group again! Plants were established, not cheap rootings. Well contained and arrived healthy!

Real or fake?
Iโm giving this three starts due to the fact that I am not sure if this plant is even real. It has shown no progress or decline since purchasing this a month and half ago. I have moved it around my house, tried watering it more and watering it less and I can confidently say this plant has not changed. Since I am no plant expert by all means and only purchased this plant because finger limes are my favorite and very hard to find by me, I am giving this plant the benefit of the doubt. Will keep you guys updated in a few months to see if this plant will ever grow finger limes.

Healthy and well-packed
I bought this and a Buddha's hand from Hirt's. Both arrived well-packed and very healthy. Both have flourished in pots in my garden (south Oregon coast, about half a mile from the ocean), and the Buddha's hand put out blossoms (!), which I thought was a little precocious. I'll be buying more from Hirt's.

Dont buy
My son really wanted this but when it came the leaves were green and looked ok, but they were actually dried up. They eventually fell off. We wanted an exchange and started processing a return but the seller did not respond.
