Great for journals, drawing, and more.
I bought this journal after some buzzfeed article about bullet journals sucked me in, I've always enjoyed notebooks, pens, and stationary items. I saw the article a while ago and only recently decided to purchase one. It's my first year teaching and there's a lot to keep up with. I noticed a lot of reviews referenced some spots on the notebook, mine didn't have any spots and was wrapped in a nice clear wrapper. It was really sturdy, it feels like it's made out of really thick cardboard with a faux leather feeling coating. I really love how vivid the color is (lemon yellow). It came with several stickers for the cover and spine (supposedly for archiving) I used one on the cover for my name. It also have a packet in the back that fits a small 7 inch ruler. Two different ribbon bookmarks. Another review said that the pages were thin. The pages didn't feel any thinner than most nice grade notebook paper (like mead). I uploaded a picture of my future log that is filled with several paint brushed colors ( Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers, Bright, 10-Pack in the next page you can see ghosting or shadows, but it doesn't ruin it at all. You can definitely use both sides. I also added a picture of my pen log with includes a gold Painters opaque paint marker which didn't bleed through the only one that I wouldn't use is the Sharpie Ultra fine point which did the most shadowing. I also used water color in the book to paint my months and there was minimal wrinkling and nothing on the other side of the page. Over all I really like this notebook the size is great, it's sturdy, the pages are well sewn in, there are a lot of pages, and the paper quality is good. The only draw backs would be if you like using sharpies then you may have some trouble with this journal. But all other pens including my fountain pen will hold up well with all sheet usable.

Awesome Features - Not Yet a Fan of Dotted Pages
While I'm not sure I'm sold on the dotted version, I'm loving this hardcover notebook for my bullet journal (AKA neverending to-do list). I'm used to using a smaller soft-sided, lined journal, so this is a bit of an adjustment but so far it's working out well. The hard cover keeps it from getting bent in my bag, and the elastic band keeps it closed. The dual bookmarks are one of my favorite features - they take me quickly to current pages. I love that the journal comes with a few pages at the front for a table of contents - something I never seem to calculate well when I create my own bullet journals from blank books. And the pocket at the back is a nice feature, although I find that putting more than a couple of small notes inside keeps the book from closing properly. The pro to using the dotted pages is that it makes grids neater - without the use of a ruler. (I can't seem to draw a straight line even with a ruler!) It may not work for more creative types who want to draw free-from in their journals - for those you might prefer the blank pages. And for avid writers, you might find that you prefer lined pages. In my experience, trying to write between the tiny shaded dots makes me a little cross-eyed, and I might switch back to lined pages after this journal. I do like that it forces me to write a bit smaller, but again, it's rough on my eyes. I love the bright, happy yellow color of this book and I'd buy this brand again. Edited to add: It's been two years and I still love this journal! I've bought two more (in different colors) since this first one, and have settled into a groove using the dots. The paper does show many pens and highlighters through to the other side, so I'm using Staedtler pens and Mildliners primarily. I'll be buying this journal brand and type unless I happen upon one I love better - but it sets a pretty high bar.

My Current and Go-To Bullet Journal Notebook
I have been using a Medium Dotted Leuchtturm1917 since January 2017. I have three of them. They are beautifully crafted notebooks, and I have never had an issue through Amazon. I use mine for bullet journaling. And I use a wide variety of pens. I would estimate that 95% of the pens I use do not bleed through; however, there is a slight amount of ghosting or show-through with fineline pens such as Staedtlerโs and Stabilos. I have not had an issue with any highlighters or markers such as Mildliners or Tombows bleeding or ghosting through. The one thing I wish was different in these notebooks is the page color. It is a very creamy off-white, and I much prefer the bright white. But, Iโve gotten used to the color and it doesnโt bother me anymore. Leuchtturm1917 provides more colors than most other notebook manufacturers, the covers are durable, and again, they ate beautifully and elegantly crafted. This is the notebook i recommend to people starting out bullet journaling.

My Second One
I love my little journal. It's the perfect travel size, but large enough in which to record your thoughts. I love that there are dots on the pages that double as lines and doodling opportunities! And the pages are numbered! That right there is invaluable! High quality cover. So nice that you can get a variety of colors - a different color for a new year or topic?! There's a bad around the opening edge that can be used to contain the cover, mark a page, or under which to secure another article. I think it's a bit on the pricey side so I'd love to have it priced lower. Paper isn't expensive these days, so probably that could happen, although, it's imported from Germany, so perhaps that makes the difference. I would buy several for more general use if they were priced lower, but for now, I use them to record my thoughts for future books.

I maybe love this way too much
I maybe love this way too much. I own a few of these journals, but this is the first colorful one I have bought. The yellow is gorgeous. The paper inside is good quality and thick enough that I can use all of my various pens without too much bleed through (sharpies do show a bit). I am currently using it as a bullet journal, and it is perfect for that. I am using it every single day, and I am in love. I did add a bit of washi tape to the outside to make a sort of border, and I added more to the spine. It's just a nice way of changing up the look once in a while. Perfect journal for me.

Vibrant and Joy-inducing!
I loved most everything about the journal. The one shortcoming is the paper thickness but in all honesty I don't think there exists a journal that would make me happy in this category. The lemon color is vibrant and joy inducing. The strap is solid and hasn't broken or lost its elasticity yet after a few months. I already have my eye on the teal color for my next journal, so I better get back to writing.

Quality Notebook with No Bleeding
This is a fantastic quality notebook with great features. I've always been a Moleskine fan (and still am, tbh), but I must say that I am super impressed with the quality of this brand. Pens that bleed and feather in Moleskines don't have the same issue with this paper. There is still a bit of ghosting with most of my pens (I use Staedtler Triplus Fineliners and Uni Pin Fineliners, primarily), but it's not so bad that I can't stand it. I love that the pages are already numbered for you and the table of contents is a really nice feature as well. I love the archiving stickers they provide--I've always wanted stickers to label my notebooks, so I broke down and bought a label maker to get the job done. I don't like the look of Sharpie on the covers, so the stickers are great! I also really love the 2 bookmarks, as I've just begun bullet journaling and have to refer to multiple pages on a daily basis. I used one of the perforated pages at the back as a pen test page, so that when I do complete this notebook, I can tear it out. Pen test pages aren't usually all that pretty or memorable to me, so I like having that option. Overall, 10/10 would buy again. Great notebook! I'll probably continue to purchase Moleskines, as I like their limited edition covers and such, but Leuchtturm has definitely shot to one of the top spots in my list of favourite notebook brands.

My First Bullet Journal!
I am really liking this journal. The pages are smooth and easy to write on. The pages are numbered. I'm not seeing any bleed through. I chose the bright yellow. My intention is that the yellow will keep me hopeful that sunny days are coming. :) I tend to write heavy handed with black ink so I can see a faint image but not distracting. It is a nice size, It will even fit in my lunch bag. It also includes title and spine labels for when I'm ready to archive it. I'm happy with it.

Great Product & Great Seller
Both highly recommended. Seller delivered the item way before the delivery date which I'm grateful for. I enjoy the product a lot, I use it for bullet journaling at work, but the paper is slightly thin if you are thinking of using it for coloring.

Thin paper
Do not buy this. I donโt know what happened with this brand but the paper in this notebook is so thin I wouldnโt even use it as toilet paper.

Perfect book
This is exactly what I wanted for my next 2021 bullet journal. I cannot wait to try my new watercolour paints in it
