Will this work with glock 19 gen 3?

Yes, works perfectly. Had more issue removing original rear sight to install the base for the ADE. Installed the base and sight, used a laser bore sight and no issues.

Does the plate mount where the rear sight goes

Yes, take the stock rear iron sight off, there's an adapter plate that goes in its place to mount the plate, and red dot. This will not fit some aftermarket slides.
