These non-toxic fly traps have been a fantastic solution for keeping the fly population under control around my chicken and goat enclosures. I love that they’re safe to use near animals—no harsh chemicals or risks to my flock. The bait is surprisingly effective, and setup is quick and easy. Within a day you will start catching flies. It is stinky so be aware of that but it is so effective. If you're looking for a low-maintenance, eco-friendly way to manage flies, this is the way to go! These are also less money than what I would pay for the at the local Tractor Supply.

This is my second year using this product. I have been pleased with the results with the refills for it also.

I'm not even sure how to rate this. It works alright and keep the flies away from the chicken pen but never again. The smell is horrific and something you'll never forget - especially in hot humid weather. Never ever do I want to smell that again.

Works like it says and is exactly what I needed

You are not prepared for how well this works. For some reason my yard has always had a plethora of flies, I don’t know why but it just has always been that way, probably attributed to something the neighbors are doing. Anyway, I’ve needed a solution and Amazon recommended these so I bought them. They’re a nice plastic reusable jar(3) and bait. The first surprise comes in the form of a smell that words cannot describe, that’s the bait. Apparently if you want to attract all the flies, you need the smell of a 2 week old triple homicide in August. So I opened the jar and added the bait, and filled the to the line with water and I set the jars out in the yard to do their work. Quickly I realized 40 feet away from the backdoor is not far enough on a summer day when the wind is right. Nevertheless, I let the crime scene scented jar be. 2 days later I went out to see their progress. The nightmare I was confronted with was something only available from the darkest corners of the internet. Two quart jars full of flies, both dead and alive, crawling and even some maggots, not to mention the vomit inducing smell. Oh the smell… Now what? As you approach, the stench overwhelms you, it envelops you. The cost of the kit compels you to devise a plan so while you're mid vomit, you think “I need to reuse this”. So you devise a plan to empty the wretched contents of the jar into a large ziploc, figuring you will have to hold your breath, close your eyes, wear gloves and think happy thoughts all the while. On my first attempt, the one of the rules was broken and the bag was dropped mid pour. The resulting ecological nightmare caused us to run to different parts of the yard, wretching, trying not to lose our lunch while laughing hysterically at how bad everything is. I can’t imagine what our neighbors must have thought, “how can someone be laughing and vomiting at the same time?!” Needless to say it didn’t happen again, we learned the penalty was too great. Do not spill the contents, if you can afford it, just buy new ones because in a few short days you’ll have nothing left in your body and the flies will be gone. 10/10 you’ll never forget this product.

We have a fly infestation due to our vinyl siding, that pops up a tremendous amount of flys. We were hoping that these traps would be irresistible to them, thus attracting most of the flys. How this product has preformed has been so-so; I set one up in my garage, and on our porch, followed the directions and waited. It must have taken a couple of days for the bait to become active because initially the flys were not interested, instead attracted to the windows. After two days, the flys became interested in the trap and finally started entering the jar. The jar has filled up with about fifty flys, most of them still being attracted to the windows Would I recommend this product? No, for the price and effectiveness I would not recommend.

This stuff works great. Doesn't smell like others say. It catches flies fast. We got fly traps that are reusable and within a few minutes it was catching about a hundred flies. Just pour it in add water stir and watch the magic happen. Wear gloves so it doesn't get on your skin. Wash your hands really good after you set the bait

It's an excellent device for catching those annoying flies in the summer.
