Blink Xt2 Wall Mount Bracket, 3 Pack Plastic Housing/Mount with Blink Sync Module Outlet Mount for Blink Xt2/Xt Indoor Outdoor Cameras Security System (Black)

I bought and try and compared the two most popular kits with mount brackets and housing offered for Blink X2 Cameras: the Blink XT2 Mount Kit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S917J5C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and the Frienda Kit, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FDBRSCP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.They are similar products, but each with different highs and lows. I liked the Blink XT2 the best. The Frienda kit has better camera housing but the XT2 camera mount has a better mount bracket and a better overall appearance and finish . This are the details.XT2 camera mountHousing is and most of the bracket is mostly made of plastic. Design is good.Pros. Easy installation, mount bracket can be easily adjusted once installed. It includes an opening at the bottom so the sound of the speaker can be heard. It includes a very convenient mount for the sync module for the cameras, which otherwise you have to buy separately.Cons. The top elements protection of the housing is shorter than the Frienda kit, which is not ideal if you are mounting the cameras exposed to the elements. The base of the mount is plastic and it may break if not treated with care.Frienda Kit.Pros. Silicone housing has a longer top protection, which is good to protect against sun and rain. It includes a back opening to easily connect a usb power cable for those installing an external power source for the camera. The base of the mount is made of metal, so it could be stronger.Cons. The screw to secure the moving part of the mount bracket is very difficult to screw into place. if you can succeed in screwing it, it is near to impossible to move and adjust the camera to adjust direction. If you are not extremely careful at the time of inserting the screw into the ridiculously small space available, you could easily strip the soft metal of the bracket. If you want to hear the speaker of the Blink XT2 camera, you have to cut an opening at the bottom of the camera (it appears that this bracket was originally made for a previous Blink camera without speaker).Both products work. If the larger top protection is important for you, you may consider the Frienda, despite the less than ideal features. Otherwise the XT2 Camera mount would be better overall.

Bought these to put outside for our blink cameras. Very easy to install and havel great adjustment capability. Was able to adjust them to cover the particular area we needed covered. Outer cover protects the camera from weather. Very happy with them as everything was a simple install and worked greatWe had some very strong winds recently and the case held the cameras very securely, no movement at all and they did a great job of protecting the cameras. Brackets held very secure. If you get the Blink camera, get these cases to better secure them, They hold well and and adjustment is supberb.

These worked out great. It encloses the camera and gives much better security of the camera. The orginal mount allows for anyone to just pull the camera off the mount. This secures the cameras with screws. It is easy to adjust the angle of the camera. The kit also came with two screwdrivers. I think this was a great deal. It even has a knockout on the back of the case if you intend on using the camera on external power. Very well thought out.

OK - I'll start off by saying so far I really like the Blink System. Amazon was running a deal on a 5 Camera system for $284 - which is a GREAT value. Motion Sensors seem to be much better than my old Arlo's, and where the Arlo would sometimes be so slow to start recording and the video would miss all the Action, the Bilink system usually gets pretty much everything. Video Quality on the 1080p setting is excellent as well, and the sound seems to have improved with recent updates. Overall a much better value and performer than my previous Arlo system, at 1/3 the price of a modern Arlo system.Pros:- No monthly subscription fee required for the cloud storage- Really good video & features for the price- Extremely easy to setup and install- App is pretty intuitive and easy to use to adjust settings as you go.- Can turn off the blue LED light that lets people know they are being recorded - although would have been nice to know this feature prior to me getting all the camera's mounted in their weather proof housings (I bought those separately).- Decent night vision & nighttime video. Getting lots of footage of deer coming through the yard in the middle of the night.- Uses Lithium AA batteries, which are fairly common and inexpensive compared to the CR123A's my previous Arlo uses/eats.Cons :- The advertised 2 year battery life is EXTREMELY misleading as this camera is also advertised as 1080p, but it appears those two "features": are mutually exclusive. The two years is based on a 360p video quality (among other settings you'll likely change and be warned it will shorten battery life) - which I'm sorry is mostly useless if you actually want to identify anyone from the footage.- Battery Status only reports "OK" not batter percentage, so no idea how quickly my batteries are being discharged at the higher settings.- There is supposed to be a feature where you can designate certain area's of the screen that won't trigger a recording when motion is detected. This is not working for me, and the camera covering the front yard triggers nearly everytime a car drives by or when my neighbors come & go. This will again drain battery life and use of the cloud storage on useless footage- There is as yet no option to increase cloud storage if you want to keep video's longer, or are generating a lot of videos.Overall a great value. Knocked one star off for the very misleading battery life, and once I know how long I'm really getting may come back and knock another off if they last anything less than 6 months at what I consider the more reasonable settings for anyone to use who is investing in a camera system.

These mounts are perfect for the new Blink XT2 cameras. I got the 5 camera set from Amazon and even though they come with their own mounts, these are far superior. I like that they have a secure case for extra protection. The range of motion is way better than the standards mounts the cameras came with. You have more flexibility as far as where and how you want to position the camera. My favorite thing about this that it comes with a module mount that makes it seem more organized connected to a wall outlet. If you get the Blink XT2 cameras, I would highly recommend getting these mounts for them.

Have other WIRED cameras at our home, but the Blink XT2 are BY FAR easier to install and the clarity is amazing. You can set specific areas to be captured, so the cameras don't trigger with every little motion. I had to change setting on one camera due to it triggering constantly with traffic. System gave me a heads up that if I kept that setting the battery in that camera would NOT last for the 2 years. Very pleased with them so far. I did buy separate mounting housings that allow the camera more pivot ability and also make the cameras a little less easy to take the cameras.That's one think I would improve - is the camera just clicking onto the mount. It's a little to easy for someone to grab and run with the camera......if they wanted.

These wall mount brackets are ok. They allow for some more flexibility compared to the ones that come with the Blink camera system. I used only one of them were this added flexibility was needed. During the install two out of three of the provided screws broke while I was intalling the unit on wood! I only used a hand screwdriver and did not apply much force to the screws. I had to take the all unit off and restarted with the screws that came with the blink cameras themselves. No problem in that case.Advice: Please provide better quality screws with your system.
