Recommended in FSM for Toyota 2007 Sequoia for valve cover gasket replacement
This is a must have if replacing the valve cover gasket on Toyota 2007 Sequoia. I used it several times, after finding other areas that required this same gasket, including the oil pan, and water pump. Easy to apply, fit well, high quality, and exactly what is recommended in the Toyota Factory Service Manual for this vehicle. Make certain to clean the metal well before using, removing all old gasket first. I have not had any leaks now since changing out my gaskets over 3k miles ago. It should be very durable, as this is the same OEM that lasted 200k miles.

In stock here while "my" dealer is out of stock
Have ordered this twice and have had good experiences both times. The item arrives in a sealed container, together with a nozzle and a key for winding up the end of the tube as it is being used. Material is fresh and easy to work with. We just had an opportunity to remove a Toyota 2AZ-FE oil pan that we had installed using the sealer from our first order. There aren't any oil or coolant leaks anywhere on that engine (following a short block installation). When we removed the oil pan a year later (to repair an item unrelated item to the short block), the sealer really worked great, that pan was "stuck on good," as they say. So I have no issues with going back to reorder this item from this vendor.

What can I say it's the best stuff on the market
My background: ASE Master Certified Technician w/ L1 and X1 certifications. Previously Lexus Senior Certifed, Toyota MDT Certifed, Nissan Certified and GM Certifed. Now in an Electronics and Instrumentation field but a die-hard fan of this stuff. What can I say it's the best stuff on the market. Was introduced to it while I worked at Toyota and Lexus dealerships and since then I have continued to implement it no matter what the manufacturer of car I'm working on (or own for that matter). I've long since switched fields but have used it in industrial applications since. Don't bother with any of the other brands "Ultra-Black" products or any claims that its the same product - it is not. A curing time of 3-5 minutes before torquing is all it takes. I've seen technicians add fluid 5-15 minutes after gasket install with no problems (leaks) using this product. As for myself I like to let it sit for about an hour before I add any fluid that will come into contact with this product. For the absolute best seal allow vehicle to sit overnight and you will have a seal that will outlast the engine. Another nice trick is that this product can be used with paper gaskets, OEM metal gaskets: (we implemented this technique all the time at the dealership with zero comebacks), and Asian valve cover gaskets (the factory repair manuals call for it on some OHC setups with a rubber gasket ex: camshaft plug, corners where the rubber gasket rides around the camshaft bearing caps). Concerning the paper gaskets here's the trick: squeeze just a pea sized amount onto your index finger and using a small amount of pressure smear the sealant across a section of the gasket. What you are looking for is a paper thin, uniform thickness. Repeat this process until one side of the paper gasket has been covered. Remember your not trying to "double-gasket" here, your just looking to create a tacky surface that will aid that paper gasket in a more effective seal. For best results, complete one side and then mount and press the gasket onto one of the surfaces, then lightly coat the other side of the gasket. This will help with ease of installation, easier cleanup, and will ensure an effective seal. As far as the product yes it's that good and worth every penny. I swear you could mortar houses with it.

Better use this on your Toyota engine
I replaced my valve cover gaskets after watching how-to videos and reading how to posts. Most of them stressed using this but I figured the gasket sealant Iโve used for years was up to the task. I was wrong. After a painstaking cleaning and detailed installation, the covers leaked worse after my repair! I bought the same gasket kit and replaced them, again, but made sure to use this stuff. I now have a perfect, no leak installation. Further investigation of Toyota forums confirmed this stuff is a must for Yota engines. Iโm sure it would work on other OEMs but I havenโt tried it. But Iโm sure I willโฆ Performed as expected, sticks to parts and can go on thick or as a skim coat depending on application.

OEM sealants are far superior.
Some of the best stuff seal up an oil pan. OEM sealants are far more superior to aftermarket. OE sealants juts adhere better and last longer

Used to seal water pump on sequoia, works great, but the tube broke on first time usage. Common issue

Great stuff
This is a real great sealant for oil pans you have to work a little faster but it seals fast you donโt have to let it sit to long but I let mine sit overnight anyway and not a leak been a mechanic my whole life and this is probably the best I have used there is another one that is probably just as good but I wonโt mention it here

Clearly a used product. Pretty disappointed
Product packaging was ripped opened, and the tube's seal was punctured, clearly a used product. Very disappointed as info claims it's new. No idea how long it's been opened for, not even sure if it's still good for my tundra timing belt change.
