This knee brace is awesome!
I am training for a marathon and have knee problems from some past leg injuries. I ordered this cho-pat knee brace along with some other knee straps and braces when I realized that my knees were not holding up to my training. I set out for a 13 mile run using the simple single knee straps that I had ordered in addition to this brace. I ran for 3.5 miles and one of my knees began to hurt but I tried to run through it. It got worse so I took the single knee strap off my other knee and positioned it above my knee cap to simulate the design of this dual action cho-pat brace and headed back to my house. I was surprised to find that my pained had reduced and I was able to run all the way back to my house, now at mile 8. I quickly exchanged the two knee straps for the cho-pat brace. My pain was even more greatly reduced by just putting the cho-pat brace on!!! I set back out and ran the rest of the 13 miles with only the reduced amount of pain. I have used this brace every run from that point on and now I have zero pain while I run in my most problematic knee. I ordered a second cho-pat for my other knee early on as well. My wife is also training for the marathon and I told her to try my "extra" knee brace. Now we own 4 between the two of us. I highly recommend this brace. However, this brace is designed for running and other sport activities. It is comfortable to wear as long as you are not sitting down because it has elastic webbing located behind the knee that "bunches up" if you try to wear it sitting down. I am amazed how well the brace stays in place during running. I never have to readjust it, even in my long runs.

Used for dance workouts, Pilates, and for workouts with lots of squats and lunges.
I normally don't write reviews but use them so thought I would in this case. Most of the reviews I've seen are written by runners and that is not what I use braces for. I use this brace for dancing workouts and for workouts with a lot of squats. I tore my medial meniscus about a year and a half ago. It did not require surgery but did take a while to heal and it is still not as strong as it was before the injury. While it was healing, I used a hinged brace but now I need extra support for the knee but did not want as bulky a brace and to be as limited in range of motion as the hinged one. This brace gives my knee the support I was looking for without limiting my movement. I had also developed quadriceps tendonitis (pain just above the knee cap) from all the squats and this is excellent for reducing the pain the tendonitis. My only negative comment is that it is not comfortable to me on bare skin but I almost always use a sleeve brace under braces any way. It does not slip during my workout but I do tighten it a good bit to take the pressure off the tendon. My knee was exactly 14 inches which the manufacturer recommends going down a size if right in the middle. This makes mine a small. I ordered the small and it would work but the Velcro closure only overlapped half way. I sent it back and exchanged for the medium which closes completely without significant overlap. I would recommend going up a size if your knee falls right in the middle of the sizes. This brace is excellent for its intended purpose but does not replace the support from a hinged brace for an acute injury. I am actually ordering another for my "good" knee since wearing this brace makes my injured knee stronger than the other and the extra support feels good.

Good intermediate support for knee
Bought this as a 2ndry support brace for my knee. I needed something less rigid as my knee heals. Somehow injured it & am dealing with mild arthritis in addition. I find if I need a little more support I put on an ace bandage first then this over it.. seems to work well. The Velcro does seem to catch in certain clothing & other items. Best worn with shorts as a result. Seems solidly constructed overall.

It works very well.
I had some lateral instability while bowling. No problem at since I started use this brace. It is comortable too. I would buy it again.

These are the best knee braces!
These Cho-Pat knee straps kept my knees stable and pain free for years when I would hike down mountains. When I was at the point where I needed total knee replacement surgeries, the straps helped diminish the pain until my surgery dates. I've tried many different knee braces and none compare to this design.

Dual Action knee strap provides support/stability
Since I'm not a medical professional, I will try not to make claims about the benefits of this knee strap beyond my subjective observations. Fit: The size chart appears accurate. My leg measured 15 inches per the instructions and the medium is a good fit. Function: Overuse and too much running aggravated an IT band injury, with consequent pain and instability in the knee joint. Wearing the brace provides some support and the knee is less wobbly. I can run farther and longer, though the IT band still flares up from time to time. Quality: I've been wearing this brace while running for about five weeks. The velcro is holding up well. The stitching on the brace itself is all intact and nothing is stretched or popped loose. I typically run 60 to 80 miles in a month, mostly at a slow pace of about 10 minutes/mile. Concerns: Some cursory web searching led me to believe that this brace was a made in the USA product. It is not. Mine arrived with a "Made in China" tag prominently displayed. The images available on Amazon (see attached) would seem to say that the parent company, Medi-Dyne, is located in Texas. In fact, the text in the image says "Manufactured by Medi-Dyne...Colleyville, Texas." Nothing else in the item description indicates its foreign origin. If this is important to you, please be aware that the brace is made in China.

low profile, soft support
if you don’t need firm support, these are comfortable. the low profile makes it comfortable when it’s hot as opposed to other support i’ve tried. the full velcro (top/grabby & bottom/fluffy) has lasted longer than those with just the top/grabby velcro that attaches to polyester fabric of the neoprene. there's rubber tubbing for upper and lower knee cap stability, but i wish it had the option to insert on left and right sides.
