I'VE USED THESE BOOKS FOR YEARS!! Ibe bought several throughout the years for my journaling, and it has been the best choice ever. The lines are quite wide, so if you prefer thinner lines, it isnt for you. I love how sturdy they are, so being able to fold the book back and lean on it doesnt disturb the integrity of it. would always buy these bad boys. the designs are also STUNNING!

I like the decomposition notebook series, and love this design (topo map on the outside, outdoorsy sketches of trees and animals inside). The cover tore a little earlier than I would have liked, but it is supposed to degrade, so I can live with that. The graph paper interior is okay; if it were college-ruled or blank pages it would be my favorite ever.

I bought four of these notebooks because my fiancée found and purchased one in a local store and I couldn't pass up an opportunity to try them myself. First, the designs/artwork are really cool and give the notebook a unique feel that a traditional composition book doesn't quite do. Second, they are 100% Post-Consumer Waste which if you care about the planet, you can feel good that this wasn't made with new materials and is mostly, if not totally, biodegradable. Third, it is just as good of quality as any other composition book on the market, and lastly, it is really affordable! If you do journaling, note taking, or simply need a basic notebook, get one of these.

Great college-ruled composition book---I'll definitely be ordering another when mine fills up. I'm using it as a journal for a college composition class, and it could not work better, not to mention everyone loves the dinosaur design! The pages are noticeably thicker than ordinary loose leaf, and even my fountain pen doesn't bleed through. On the inside of the covers is a random collage of facts and art, and since I didn't know about it before I purchased it, it was a lovely surprise. The binding is tight and neat, but I wouldn't consider it sturdy---not sturdy enough to be rough with it and sling it around or break the spine and fold the front to the back. It's only bound with a single string, so if you tear out a page in the front, you'll have to catch the adjacent page in the back, because it won't stay by itself. It's been about a month and a half since I purchased the item, and so far, there are only a few 'chips' towards the bottom where the design is flaking off of the cardboard, but it's nothing major, so it's no concern of mine. Other than that, it's holding up well.

Some of these journals have different style paper. I purchased the Pineapple design with dot grid at another location and found it really good, so I opted to get another one with a different design but college ruled paper. The paper quality is completely different between the two. The Dinosaurs design sucks down ink and bleeds immediately through the back and next page with multiple pens. I wouldn't recommend the notebook for anything other than pencil or ballpoints - any other style pen will be a disaster. That said, the construction and quality of the notebook is fine otherwise. I just wish the paper consistent between designs.

I have been keeping a daily journal in decomposition books for six years. The pages do not allow the black ink I use (Signo) to bleed through. The paper has a solid feel and has not yellowed in the years I have been using them. The covers are sturdy and attractive. The pages are bound well and sewn. At times (though not recently) the ribbon binding has detached a bit in spots, but once I fix this with a glue stick, the ribbon stays put. There are cheaper notebooks and also much more expensive notebooks available, but I am faithful to these for their aesthetic and their quality.

Je cherchais un cahier qui fasse un peu journal ou livre, plutôt que cahier d'école, avec un côté un peu rétro. Le produit répond bien à mes attentes. La couverture rigide est joliment décorée (par contre le dessin est violet et pas noir comme sur la photo mais je préfère, en fait). Les pages sont lignées au lieu des petits carreaux, le format est plus grand qu'un petit cahier d'école. C'est idéal pour faire un recueil de cuisine, tenir un journal de bord... Seul petit regret on ne peu pas écrire à la plume car l'encre fuse sur le papier.

Bought for my dissertation research notes in uni and it's brilliant. Very striking, and good for the environment. Good paper quality, and would recommend. Much better quality than more expensive brands (such as Oxford notebook range) perfect for the office or university.

Very good value and a nice book to use for a special purpose recipes, diary, notes of a journey etc.. I like it a lot

Perfect as a journal. The pages are really soft and smooth, the cover is amazing and the design is adorable.
